The Jungle Fish Beach Club is a block away with a lovely pool and great restaurant, overlooking the sea. Great beach walks.

Beautifully decorated and spacious condo! We really enjoyed staying here. The jungle view from the sliding glass doors is breathtaking - We even saw quite a few animals out there. Beds were comfortable and kitchen is fully stocked. highly recommend!

Sleepy Akumal

The house is very comfortable and clean. We appreciated having access to filtered water in the house. The beach club across the street has great food. Akumal is a very sleepy town and everything closed by 9. Stay in Tulum or PDC if you want nightlife. Easy enough to walk to the road and catch the collectivo in either direction though.

Tao Ocean Villa Akumal

We stayed for a month at this property. It was extremely comfortable, very well equipped, well maintained and in a location that was convenient to excellent golf facilities, good snorkeling and swimming and touring local Mayan archeological sites and other places of interests, cenotes, colonial cities, etc. It is in a very secure and safe enclave, staffed with polite and helpful security personnel and maintenance workers.The property managers and the owners were very accessible and responsive to the few issues and requests that we had before and during our stay. This property would be particularly suitable for a family group. For a couple, it was more than spacious. We made great use of the new gas grill on the terrace, and enjoyed the beach club across the street, and bird and butterfly watching from the back terrace. Highly recommend this property.

Inter-generational family holiday

We had a perfect 2 week family holiday (ages spanning 4-80) at the property which is a really fantastic place. It is incredibly spacious and well-equipped and we loved spending time on the beautiful roof terrace and the lovely ground floor terrace too - both have really comfy outdoor furniture. The fans and air conditioning were really welcome in the heat and being able to drink purified water was great too. The location of the property - a short walk from the beach and Jungle Fish Club with its great kid- friendly restaurant and little pool - was perfect for us and our 4 year old daughter. We also really enjoyed Yoga at the Tao wellness centre too, and loved their healthy cafe as well. The property manager couldn’t have been more helpful with any questions we had and the flexibility shown around our checkout time - as we had a night time flight to catch - was so appreciated. This was our second holiday to Akumal from the UK and we love the place and the property so much that we can really imagine returning next year.

Simply Beautiful

We had the most wonderful stay at Tao Ocean. This property is immaculately kept—you would not know this is a rental. The location is just across from the beach and they graciously supply chairs, bags, coolers and a beach umbrellas. But if you don't want to go it alone, Jungle fish beach club right across the street. They have great food, beach chairs/umbrellas and a pool. The staff was wonderful. It is a very large home and due to their solar panels, you can use the air conditioners and not worry about electricity use. We still did not run them constantly, but we were able to keep us comfortable. They also had a whole house water softener and a reverse osmosis in the kitchen so the water and ice from the fridge was drinkable. The property manager was helpful and responsive to any need. But I will tell you we really didn't want for anything. I would gladly stay here again!
