Multi-family ski vacation
We stayed here with our family and three other families (17 kids and adults). Plenty of room for all and the kids LOVED the sleeping loft. Hot tub was an excellent addition to apres-ski activities for kids and adults alike. The living room was spacious and warm with a mini fridge for beverages. Great for game nights. The yoga studio (mats and blocks provided!) would have been a nice place to continue our active pursuits, but with so much skiing we were too tired! It was a little chilly downstairs when the temperatures dipped, but nothing unmanageable (living room is upstairs). The proximity to both Okemo and Killington (and Long Trail Brewing company 😉) is unmatched. Both the property manager and owner were pleasant, professional, and informative. Overall great experience and would recommend, especially to large groups.
Thanks Niki! It was great working with you and you and your family group were wonderful guests at Good Commons! Please keep in touch if you would like to come back!
Kid Friendly and Fun
Upon entering the place was very clean which was wonderful. Throughout the house there were added touches like the bathroom soap and spray, water carafes, and coffee/tea station, that made the place welcoming and feel like home. Lastly, it was kid-friendly and the yoga room was a great place to store ski stuff and act as a kid playroom.
The only thing we thought it was missing, was a comfy place to sit downstairs so after the kids went to bed we could hang out without waking them. Overall a beautiful place.
Thanks so much Laurie for bringing your group to enjoy a weekend at Good Commons. We are so happy you enjoyed yourselves - and would love to have you come back any time you would like!
Perfect house for friend ski weekend
We loved our stay at Good Commons!! The house easily accommodated our group (8 adults, 9 kids ranging from 7 to 18). The house was exactly as described. The kitchen was amazing for cooking ski breakfasts and large dinners - we could not have asked for a better set up. Everyone in the group had a great time and would return again next year. The house was convenient to both Killington and Pico mountains. Mary and Tesha were extremely responsive when there were small glitches before and during the weekend. They responded quickly and helped us solve the issue. We had an amazing long weekend with friends, which was in large part due to this amazing house!
Thank you so much for your great review of your stay. We're really happy that your group had a wonderful time and Good Commons - you were a delight to have as guests! We look forward to seeing you next winter too!
We are large group of people and this house is 20 min to killington. Kids friendly with loft 9 beds! We had trouble with heating system and they quickly fixed it.
Thank you for your gracious review and we are so happy that your group had a wonderful time at Good Commons! We would love to have you come back any time.

About Mary Camilleri
I was raised on a dairy farm in rural Illinois and began doing back flips off the stereo when I was two. Before I could read a novel, I was doing full tumbling passes across the floor of a gymnastics class. Soon, I became Jr. National Champion for the United States Acrogymnastics Federation for mixed pairs — think Cirque de Soleil packed with a cast of overactive children. My childhood dream came true when I was cast in the role of Rumpleteazer in Cats on Broadway. After Broadway, I directed and choreographed many shows regionally and off Broadway, and I served as a choreographer for five seasons at Vermont’s famed Weston Playhouse where my love affair with The Green Mountain State began in 1999. Suffice it to say, I was on a pretty short ladder to theatrical success when suddenly everything changed. I had a new inspiration… In 2003, I awoke from a dream with a powerful sense of urgency. “You will open a center…” This mantra was echoing in my head as I rubbed my eyes, and it wasn’t going to fade… Mid year 2006, I traveled to Vermont to watch my best friend perform at the Weston Playhouse and saw the real estate listing for what would eventually become Good Commons. The walls of this old general store/home hadn’t seen a family live through a Vermont winter in over 25 years! But from first view, I knew it held outstanding potential, and the initial shell of Good Commons satisfied my dream list for what I thought that “center” meant for me. My childhood dream came true when I made my very first entrance on Broadway in 1998. The dream I was only able discover as an adult comes true around me at Good Commons every day. There have been many angels that have helped turn this old building into a beautiful home for relaxation, rejuvenation and a rockin’ good time. I am grateful that they have joined me in my dream, and I look forward to meeting you in it as well.
