The Gulf Breeze Tree House (a Three Live Oaks Property)is a 1940's beach house located on a corner lot on a quiet historical street. Going for walks in this neighborhood is a must. The house is conveniently located one block off of US 90 (Beach Blvd) which gives you quick access to all of the area attractions. Plan a day trip to New Orleans which is just a 60 mile drive.

There is a great view of the gulf from the large 2nd story deck. Giant Live Oaks surround the home which give the feeling of a 'tree house'. The backyard is completely closed in with a privacy fence. The front yard has a custom wrought iron fence helpful at keeping your pets in the yard.

Two beautiful upstairs bedrooms each has a private french door entrance from the wrap-around deck. The downstairs has one bedroom with two full size beds and a sunroom with two daybeds each with a trundle bed. All of the bedrooms have their own flat panel cable TV. Sleep in & rest, the bedrooms have room darkening window treatments. Each level has its own thermostat control for added comfort.

A dining table with seating for 6 and additional seating at the countertop bar provides everyone a place to enjoy a meal or good conversation. Hardwood & tile floors throughout the house add to the beauty. The artwork was specially chosen to reflect the gulf coast with many Walter Anderson water colors to enjoy.

When you are ready to head to the beach just walk to the end of the block & cross Beach Blvd (US90) and start having fun. On your return, enter the house through the Florida room, with an outdoor rinse off hose at the door to get the sand off of you or your pet. The Florida room has a tile floor, great for drying off from the beach. It also has a table for card playing or games with a view of both courtyards.

The downstairs offers a bathroom with an extra large shower with two shower heads. The upstairs bathroom has a custom tile floor, soaking tub with shower and a view of the gulf

If you are not familiar with Gulfport there are a couple things we like our prospective guests to know. There are train tracks that run approximately two blocks north of the beaches. You will be able to hear trains run from most anywhere you stay that you have access to the beaches. We personally enjoy the beaches and the water there though some people are disappointed since they expect large waves and clear water. We like that you can walk out into the water pretty far before it gets deep which makes it great for playing with our dogs. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder and everyone has their own opinion of the perfect beach.

We live in NW Georgia where we run a family business. We head down to the coast every chance we get. We wanted someplace close enough to drive to since we always travel with our two small dogs. The casinos are fun for both of us and sometimes we even win a little. Our dogs like to run on the beach and play in the water. Discovering Gulfport sure has been great for us.

We purchased a home here because of the beaches and casinos. Gulfport has a quiet feel to it which we enjoy. We love the location but we also wanted a pet friendly home to vacation in, so we bought one!

What makes this house unique

We like taking our two small dogs to the beach. Of course you have to spend some time up on the balcony just relaxing and enjoying the view.

Weekend Girl Trip

We have been taking girls get aways for over fifteen years. This was our first time staying in a house and I we will ever stay in a hotel again. A group of 5 women, we had more than enough room and beds. we could hangout indoors or outside together eat breakfast in one room and dinner in another. Just minutes away from shopping, dinning and fun. Would stay here again and again.

PASS BY THIS ONE: Picture of the house makes it look better than it really is

The location is great, one block from the beach but it is an old house. While the kitchen and bathrooms have been updated, the railing on the outside going around the tree is rotted and broken off so it's a hazard and the wood around the kitchen windows are rotting. The maintenance is terrible. One would think that knowing a family was arriving, the windows/doors would have been opened to air it out but NO. Upon arrival, the first thing noticed was the musty smell through out the house. It never left the upstairs bathroom. It was surface cleaned only. There was a lot of dead bugs in the kitchen table lamp shade, numerous cock roaches we had to kill, the seal between the kitchen sink and the outer seal did not meet so there was a lot black gook (lacking a better word). There was a lot of lint in the dryer and the washer detergent section had not been cleaned since the last tenants used it. We had two days of garbage piling up until I requested the owner contact the person maintaining the premises to bring it back. There was dirt/dust under the twin beds, the dust on the toilet paper holder in the upstairs bathroom was so piled on it there was no way I was going to put toilet paper in it and there was a lot of dust on the back of the fan in the upstairs bedroom so I didn't want to use it. While it is understandable that the tropical storm Cindy had been through just two days prior to our arrival, there was debris all over the walkway and outside upper deck that it couldn't be used. There was a fork in the silverware drawer that had dried on cake on it and dried egg on the inside of a skillet. There was food particles in the kitchen drawers. The kitchen only had two towels to use (for 6 days) and the bath towels were so old and marked with bleach stains. REALLY? One would think for the amount of money requested for a 6 day stay in this home that we would have had better. There was a book of written reviews by prior tenants but the last page was from March 2017 and pages torn out after so I didn't even bother.

Owner's Response: I think my prior reviews will speak for the house without me responding to her long list. We have same day check-in and check-outs. We had 10 guests leave before this party checked in same day. This party was 9 guests. There is a lot of wear and tear on a house with no time for maintenance during the summer busy months. You do your best to make sure everything is perfect for our guests but with 5 hours to make a house spotless with that many people coming and going it just isn't going to happen. We deep clean when possible and when it's not possible, there may be dust on a toilet paper holder. You can't go through all the drawers inspecting every utensil pot and pan. We leave it up to guests to clean and put away their dishes. This is a house, not a hotel. Like your home, there will always be a "to do" list and we constantly work on it every opportunity we can. A tropical storm will always wreak havoc. With just 5 hours before this party showed up there wasn't enough time to clean up storm debris from outside when it was raining on the day of their arrival. I find it strange that they would have wanted the doors and windows open before they arrived which would have caused flies and a very hot house upon their arrival.
