Great little weekend getaway. Great location if you are in Helotes and a quick 30 minutes to Riverwalk area. We went to Floore's Country Store and were able to Uber there and back for less than 30. We enjoyed the pool and the various outdoor sitting areas. Casita was well done with a rustic Mexican look and updated with some modern amenities. I have one suggestion that would make the stay more comfortable for guests and that would be to update the pillows. They are pancakes! Overall we loved our stay there and might be back someday!

We could not stay at this place because of the condition

We rented this place because of the pool and that it was in the country but close to a town. We arrived the first Sunday of Spring Break at around 5:00 the property was in no condition to have guest. There was a foot of water in the pool. The yard had not been maintained. Most properties that I have rented have swept the side walks, picked up trash, power washed. This was not the case and left me to find a place for my family to go during spring break. It was very disappointing .The owner said he could not get in touch with me but I received emails about checking in and how to use the pool.

What makes this property unique

On 6 peaceful/quiet acres but close to San Antonio, Casa Lejana "Far away home" is a property dating back to the 1930's. It has served as the helotes city pool, an old ranch house, even a restaurant operated by the Pace family (picante sauce). You will have your own Casita that sits as a stand alone in the back of the picturesque Spanish style courtyard. Casita 3 includes a kitchenette (fridge, coffee bar, microwave), king size bed, and a small table and chairs. (Sleeps 1-2)
