These cottages are so cute! Great place to stay if you don't want to be in a casino! Easy check in. Communication with the host is great! There are several cottages so it's great if you hav4 several couples who would like to stay near each other. This place is a hidden gem for sure!
We enjoyed our stay at this property. We were in town for the weekend and the property was the perfect spot for our stay. It was quiet, clean, and when we had an issue the property manager immediately responded and took care of the issue. We would definitely stay here again!
We enjoyed our four days at the cottage. The property is well kept, the cottages are clean and as seen in the pictures. I would definitely recommend it for anyone looking for a quiet place to relax but still go to the casino.
Any time we go to Reno, this will be our place.

This was our 3rd stay at Riverwest resort and as always we enjoyed our stay and accommodations. Helena was so helpful and gracious! We appreciated how she took extra steps to make our stay there enjoyable and special. All three accommodations we've stayed at thus far have been nice and very comfortable. Riverwest has been one of our favorite spots to stay when visiting Reno.
This place is pretty cool! The unit itself was like a model home. Very nice inside and comfortable for two. The grounds were very well taken care. You do have to enter thru an RV park, but other than that, it was perfect for a weekend stay

Absolutely love this property. Located near UNR, the river walk district and casinos, yet feels like you are outside of the city. Ample parking for my large truck. The unit was stocked with coffee with all the accompaniments you could ever want. The front office staff was amazing and more than willing to answer all my questions. Can’t wait to return.
Very Nice place. Stunning grounds. Be prepared to wake up early due to landscapers mowing and using the leaf blower. That Starts at 6:30-9:00. Laundry on site.
Excellent location. It’s a .4 mile from the river. It’s a few minutes from the downtown. The grocery store is around the corner. Easy access to highway. Close to trails, Lake Tahoe, Carson City.
The place is located in an RV park, which was fine with us.
Overall, Did enjoy are stay!!
This tiny house was perfect for a couple: Spotless, chic, comfortable, and in a quiet location (the occasional train was not bothersome), yet near downtown Reno. The bed and towels were plush, the bathroom was super clean and had a new feel, and the kitchen was great to have. The view outside was beautiful, with well-maintained grounds and tress with twinkling lights that surrounded the historical Elm House. This view can be enjoyed while sitting out on the front porch of this tiny house, or from the fireplace in the courtyard in front of the cottages. On our arrival day, we emailed the office for a charcuterie box and bottle of wine to be delivered to our tiny house, and it was there by the time we checked in. A lovely oasis in the middle of Reno.

August 5th and 6th 2022. These were my observations:
The A/C unit in the bedroom made a high -pitched sound that could be very disturbing for someone that needs quiet to sleep (luckily for us, we always bring a small box fan when we travel and it usually blocks out most other noises). The A/C unit also had glow in the dark controls so if you have to have darkness, you may want to bring something to place over them (maybe painters’ tape that wouldn’t leave residue). It worked as a night light for me to get up at night w/out bumping into things.
The bedroom did NOT have black-out curtains on all the windows so be prepared for that. Since we were visiting family, we were getting up early any way so it wasn’t a bother for us, but you may want to sleep in late.
If you are like us and keep your phone/tablet/laptop charged by the bed, be aware that there is only 1 electrical plug by the bed and both the nightstand lamps are plugged into it. To plug in your electronics, you will either need to unplug the lamp or have a plug extender with you.
The unit did have an iron and ironing board, but no hangers in the closet. So, even if you took the time to iron your clothes there would be no way to hang them up afterwards.
The room did have a nice small refrigerator, microwave and 2-4 of most dishes. They included coffee and had a 1- person coffee maker. There were paper towels under the sink along with soap to wash your dishes if used. There is no freezer or cooktop, so if you want to cook, you will have to stay with things that do not need to be frozen and can be microwaved or not cooked.
The contract states only 2 people in the cottages overnight. If you are renting a cottage for a destination wedding or other event and you have a small child or maybe even a teenager, you could speak to management about that. The beds are very comfortable and king size. A small child could possibly sleep with parents. Depending on the age/size, there is room in the living room for a sleeping bag. The couch is NOT big enough for someone to sleep on (this is for the Ruby, not sure about other cottages).
The bathroom was well designed and had PLENTY of storage space, extra toilet paper and a hair dryer and 2 of each towels
These gemstone cottages are gated in and separate from the RV living of the park. Other reviews have mentioned the area of town, yes its older but the park was well maintained and quiet. Overall we would suggest this to anyone wanting to give it a try.

Thank you for your well written and thought out review John! We appreciate your feedback and hope to see you again soon!
We stayed one night on our way across state lines and wish we had more time to stay another night! We were impressed with the entire property- our cottage, the details, cleanliness, and landscaping are all stunning! plus, it’s close to everything you’d need downtown/UNR area. Everything has been beautifully executed, a true job well done! We highly recommend!
Loved the airy spaciousness of the cottage, it’s clean decor and tall curtains, the big trees, and with the privacy afforded by the estate grounds, could open the windows to feel and hear the wind blowing in from the mountains. The train line nearby added noise but atmosphere, too. Stayed in the Ruby, which remains in shade all morning.
