Master Bedroom #1: KING 'CAPTAINS ROOM' - sleeps 4 (2 in King Bed) and (2 in full size sleeper sofa) with large ensuite bathroom and private deck attached.

Kitchen and Living area have vaulted ceilings and are surrounded by Windows - giving the upstairs living area of this home, a New York Loft feel. 1200 feet to Ocean. Why Marsha Marks chose Coastal

Tom and I met on the West Coast and always wanted a home near the beach, but were unable to pay LA prices. And hated LA traffic. When Tom took a job here in Savannah, we discovered Tybee Island and realized it was just 15 minutes from Downtown Savannah, and we loved the laid back Artsy, non-resort kind of feel. So, we looked for three years for the perfect piece of property - well, the perfect piece in our price range and in the location we wanted. We finally ended up buying a woman's back yard. We had the yard divided into a legal lot. The woman who sold us the lot, still lives behind our home. She purchased the lot our house sits on - 30 years ago for $1500.00! (She made a good investment!)

When we were looking for a bit of land to build on Tybee Island, we knew we might want to use the home as a vacation rental someday, and we wanted to be close to the beach, yet away from the noise. Close to the shops, yet away from the crowds. Within walking distance to all the eating places, and especially close to The Breakfast Club! This lot, seemed to have it all, Location, Location, Location, plus, it was the only lot we could find that didn't look into someone elses house - our lot looks onto a 60 foot tall live Oak tree. And OK, I confess, it was the only lot for sale on the whole darn street. So we bought it.

What makes this house unique

The large spacious upstairs. The pool. The double convection ovens. The Master Suite that has three seperate sections and a private deck. The pale yellow bamboo floors. The six burner cooktop with the pop up vent. The loft feel with tons of windows and natural light. The THREE large decks - two off each floor. The Air conditioned and insulated sleeping porch, that feels like a treehouse - on the top deck! Location, Location, Location.

You both went above and beyond any VRBO owners we have dealt with in the past. It was a perfect week, perfect house, perfect beach and great lifeguards. House is nicely located in heart of Tybee with walking access to beach, restaurants, and plenty of attractions. Marsha is great to work with and is eager to make sure visitors enjoy their trip. Highly recommend !!

Tybee Island Joy and what a joy it was to stay at this house!!

We stayed at Marsha Marks' house the week of August 5-12 with 9 adults and two small children. The house was absolutely perfect with large spaces for gathering, a great kitchen and decks off of most rooms. The house is completely stocked with everything you will need from a baby chair to a pack n play to lots of dishes, etc. The location is perfect, easy to get to the beach, restaurants, bars, etc. If you rent a bike, which I highly recommend, you can virtually anywhere on the island. Marsha is the perfect host. She is extremely quick to answer any questions and has great advice on rentals, restaurants, etc. The week went entirely too fast and we can't wait to return. Thank you Marsha!!

Tybee Joy has really been a joy to stay at. We had 19 of us in our group that came down from Wisconsin to visit family and enjoy the beautiful island. The pool was awesome but tiny. It kept us cool on those hot days. I think the best thing about the place was the location. You could walk almost to everything that there was to do and see on the island. We all didn't have to get in our cars everyday and our big group could go do their own thing. Awesome! Marsha too came to the rescue when the central air had a water leak. She and the handyman came ASAP and fixed the problem. We had a wonderful vacation . Thank you Marsha .

Excellent location

This house is not on the beach but it is a short walk right through the heart of everything! The great things about this house are the 5 parking spots, pool and central location. There is an elevator but we didn't use it much, so be prepared to do plenty of stairs, if you don't use the elevator. This house is well stocked with towels and bedding. There is a new washer and dryer that are great. The decks off of the second floor bedrooms are really nice to sit out on. They are covered so when there's a breeze, it's nice to relax out there. I'm a bit of a clean freak and snob. I share this only to warn that if you are too, I'd schedule a few minutes to go over the bathrooms a bit. If you are not a cleaning snob, the house will be perfect when you arrive.

The owner, Marsha, is so accommodating and helpful. I would rent from her again. She answered every question I had, and responded quickly and clearly.

Overall, this house is wonderful. We had 12 adults and 8 kids and there was plenty of space. If you are thinking about renting this house, do it! You will love it!

This review is the first I'm hearing of the bathrooms not being spotless to your standards. I'm so sorry you felt you had to go 'over' the bathrooms. But, thrilled the home worked for you overall. I do have a dedicated cleaning company that I bring in from an hour away because in the two years I've used them, their has never been a mention of any cleaning issues (until this review). Again thrilled you liked the home and the responsiveness of my management. Clean freak or not - please come back!

Great vacation house with everything you need!

We very much enjoyed our stay. Marsha, the owner was so easy to work with, and even greeted us upon arrival to "show ups the ropes" and answer any questions we had. Even with a lot of rain during the week, we still had a wonderful AND RELAXING time spending the afternoons on the covered porch, it had plenty of seating for all of us. The house is beautiful, comfortable and fully stocked with everything you need, dishes, towels, linens, etc. just show up and you're ready to hit the beach!
