Perfect House for a Large Group

We had a party of 11 stay at this home and it was absolutely perfect! The house was clean on arrival and very well-appointed for a large group. It had everything we needed in the kitchen to make meals for our family. The proximity to the beach made getting 6 kids down a breeze and the downstairs bathroom was a very nice plus! The kids loved the bunk room and the adults all had their own space in the other 3 bedrooms. We loved this house and hope to be back very soon!!

Best of Pirates Beach

I have rented numerous homes in Pirates Beach neighborhood over the years. Several beach fronts. This was the most nicely furnished and most well maintained of all. Thoroughly enjoyed this property and hope it is available for my next visit to Galveston.

Great location, lovely house

Extended weekend stay with family, Friday-Tuesday, was made extra special by this lovely property. Great views and very comfortable house, stocked thoughtfully for guests! Had a wonderful stay; highly recommend!

Great House!

Location is fantastic. In a beautiful neighborhood, literal steps to the beach. Very clean, etc. Everything in working order. We had booked five nights, but unfortunately, a tropical storm came in and we were only able to stay two nights. It was unfortunate because we could not get our money back. They only issue refunds if the island is under mandatory evacuation, which it was not. This area is lower lying so it’s at an increased risk for flooding and we did not feel safe staying and getting stuck. You could not go outside without sand blasting you in the face. It was unsafe to be outdoors so we felt we had no other choice to leave. Other than that, I was very happy with the property itself and the communication with the property managers. That does make a big difference with vacation rentals!

Perfect location, wonderful house!

We enjoyed a wonderful Memorial Day weekend stay at this house! Just the right size for 2 families. House is nicely appointed and well taken care of. Just the right distance to the beach - not even a minute walk. Great views from every room in the house. Good communication with hosts as well. Thank you!

Great Property and Location to the Beach

Property is just as advertised and the property management was very responsive. Plenty of space for the whole family and the proximity to the beach couldn’t get any better!

Great home, and fantastic rental agency

We've done a few Galveston rentals, including a couple in the Pirates Beach neighborhood. This was, by far, our best - to the point where we will probably lean towards just re-booking this home next time. Great kitchen amenities, great views of the ocean from many of the rooms, clean - just NOTHING to complain about. There was an issue on the first night where the 2nd floor a/c wasn't working. I called Gary Greene agency and someone picked up immediately. They had someone out there within about an hour. It couldn't be fixed that night, so they gave us several options for other homes where we could stay. We chose to stay there (it wasn't that hot this time of year). it took several visits to get the a/c working the next day - but the whole time, GG Agency was communicative, ready to offer up whatever would mitigate the problem - they were AWESOME. And, in the end, they gave me a bit of money off (I didn't even need to ask). They come HIGHLY recommended.

Great location

Just a little south of main Galveston but perfect for being able to step outside and be on the beach. This house doesn’t have an outdoor shower, If they do it is locked up. The hose was a little finicky also. It would be nice for the price to have some basic beach items included (chairs, umbrella, etc). It would also be nice to have some closet space in the master bedroom, but that is also locked up. Overall the location and cleanliness of house is wonderful and we would stay again. Rental company who manages is also very easy to contact. We had a really great stay!

2022 Family Relaxation Vacation

We were very impressed with the property. It was just like the pictures on feature VRBO. The house was very lovely; it was all that we expected and more. We enjoyed our stay so much, that we have decided it will be our go to vacation home for Galveston, Texas. Hearing the sound of the ocean at night and watching the sunset was breathe taking.

Great Family Weekend

The location was perfect with the ability to just walk right to the beach. The house was the perfect size for a family of seven and it looked just like the pictures. The whole vibe of the house was peaceful and relaxing. Would definitely choose this same house again!

Great place to stay

The overall place was very clean, but there were fruit flies throughout the house. They were pesky and got in our food at a few mealtimes, which was kind of a downer. Likely the result of the last tenant being unclean, by the time we left they were almost gone. The house is an awesome proximity to the beach and the view is fantastic. The place did have a high chair, which I didn’t notice in the description but was quite handy. The only real drawback for families with littles is the stairs from the ground to the living room area. There is no gate and it would be super easy to take a tumble. We would 100% stay here again but unless a gate is added in (it’s too wide to bring a standard baby gate from home) it will be at least a few years until we stay again. Highly recommend for families with no children or older children!

We checked in on Friday and the house was spotless. The house itself was beautiful and so close to the beach that we didn't have to worry about our big kids walking to the beach. The kitchen had everything we needed except for a griddle to make pancakes, but we made it work. Thank y'all for making our long weekend so enjoyable, we'll be back.

The house beautifully set up, with all of the cooking amenities we needed. Such close proximity to the beach made it great for our family with young kids to go back and forth to the house if needed!
