This beautiful lake side cottage features stunning sunset views over Green Bay. Outside, enjoy your own private water access, beautiful deck with retractable awning, and the stunning sunset views of Green Bay. Inside, enjoy the bright, recently updated open floorplan, with views of the bay from every room in the house, even the bathrooms! Upstairs the entire floor is a giant master suite that will wow you! During the day, you're just a short drive from all that Door County has to offer, but far enough away for a secluded, peaceful getaway. Only 35 minutes to Lambeau Field!

We're pet encouraging! No pet fees charged!

As is the standard among vacation rentals, 2 motion-activated security cameras are on the premises. One is located outside the front door, facing North towards the public access, and the other is outside the sliding glass door, facing the lake to the West. Both cameras will record video and audio. Neither camera has the ability to see inside the home, and they are used exclusively to verify guest and pet counts entering the home, as well as monitor the lake/ice conditions.

Very pet friendly which was good for our pup, Zak. Dan, our host was very responsive for our visit. View of Green Bay is lovely and enjoyed the wildlife. Beautiful view of the bay from the porch.. Cannot say that much for the beach!! We had 2 sets of visitors on "private" beach! Stairs should be noted more in description, they are made for younger people, stairs to upstairs bedroom are very steep and long!! Dog pee smell in living room, so we put the doggie bed outside!! Sewer smell around house and on beach!! Property is very remote to restaurants, etc!!

We're very sorry to hear that this guest wasn't completely satisfied with their stay, but not surprised. This guest was attempted to cancel their stay the night before check-in, which unfortunately we were not able to accommodate due to the short notice. After that, the guest was clearly upset, and made it known through the stay. We were at the house mere hours after he checked out, and found no smells of any kind. We had a neighbor come in to the house to make sure that we weren't "nose blind" to a smell and they reported nothing inside or outside the house. It's such a shame that this guest couldn't get the relaxation from his stay that our many other guests have! We hope that whatever is going wrong in his life improves soon! We look forward to hosting guests who are here to find the peace and relaxation that we find every time we're here! Book with confidence future guests!

January 2025 stay

Stayed for two nights. When we arrived late on day 1 the bedding & mattress cover had dog, cat and human hair on them. We removed sheets to see clump of human/animal hair at foot of mattress pad cover so had to strip that off as well. Had to improvise with what was left in upstairs closet. Some Pillows were old and had stains on them. Took pictures of the hair on bedding, sheets and mattress cover and sent pictures to Dan. Also took picture of cabinets as there was dust / hair on upper kitchen cabinets with dust cobwebs. Asked for the cleaning fee to be returned and was denied. Was willing to pay the rate and taxes, but deserved to have the cleaning fee waved due to uncleanliness of the place but not allowed by Dan.

We're sorry to hear this guest left a negative review. This guest stayed the first night without mentioning any issues. The next morning he sent pictures of approximately 5 dog hairs on a small section of the mattress cover (underneath the fitted sheet). Obviously we try our best to be spotless, but we're also an unabashedly dog friendly rental, so it's downright impossible to get every single fur. Regardless, we offered the guest access to our owner's closet so that he could find bedding to his liking. He requested a refund for the stay, and while we would absolutely take care of guests with legitimate issues, we and the VRBO support team deemed his concerns absurd. VRBO denied his request for this refund, hence the retaliatory review. We're sorry that this guest chose to book a clearly dog friendly rental but couldn't cope with 5 furs. This very much smells like an attempted scam by this guest. Our best guests have been dog owners, so we're thinking of switching from "dog friendly" to "dog required"!

Great place to relax with views & sounds of the waves

Our family (including 2 pups) had a great stay at Jiffy's Journey! The location is in a quiet, remote area south of the more touristy areas but close enough for us to explore all the coastal towns and bays of the peninsula & Washington Island. The home is clean, comfortable, & decorated nicely. The Hosts provide many thoughtful amenities that make vacationing with pets easier & fun. We enjoyed grilling and watching the beautiful sunsets on the water!

We had not been to Door County since the kids were little. We had a few days off and decided to go see the fall colors. We had a great time. The house was great. Fall Road Trip

The home is nice and located directly on the waterfront. However, the large deck in which you enjoy that view is under both video and audio surveillance. The owners claim the surveillance is solely used to keep an eye on lake conditions but is clearly situated so that they can both see and hear everything happening on the deck and fire pit area. My conversations are not all that interesting but while on vacation I prefer not to have my private conversations listened to by someone else. I’ve rented many homes through VRBO with surveillance on the property but none have been as intrusive as this one. We were made aware of the cameras after we booked the property and did not realize the extent of the surveillance until after we arrived. After my complaints, the owner has added the surveillance to the property description on VRBO but is still misleading as to the extent of the surveillance as it is clearly focused on the deck. If you like being watched and listened to while on vacation this is the perfect property for you!

Kristi, Thanks for booking the lake house that we love. As you mentioned, security cameras are considered industry standard among hotels as well as vacation rentals, and we're no different. Since we love our little house, and as such seek to protect it from some of the more common sources of damage and unhappy neighbors that hosts struggle with. Specifically, parties and and unregistered guests. As such, we have one motion activated camera located at each of our points of entry (one at the front door and one at the patio door). We have had dozens of guests stay with us, and you are the first to raise any issue, which certainly leads us to be concerned about your intended use of the property. You're exactly right, I have no interest in monitoring your conversations, and watching you relax is not high on my list of interesting activities. The cameras are there for the guest and the host's protection should we need them, and we're rather relieved that you chose to leave soon after checking in, lest something happen to our home. From personal experience, we know how hard it can be to travel with your dog. To that end, we're not only dog friendly, we're dog encouraging! We don't charge pet fees because we believe your dog should enjoy the trip as much as you do!

The house is named Jiffy's Journey in honor of our dog who passed away from Cancer in 2020. She never got the chance to stay here, but playing in the waves, digging on the beach, sniffing through the yard, and sleeping on the deck would have been her favorite, so since we always think about how much she'd enjoy it, it only made sense to make it hers! We also plan to offer the house up to Canine Cancer groups for "One last great experience" for terminal dogs.

The house has a wide open floor plan, with areas for working, dining, and relaxing that you'll love! There is so much natural light, and the sound of the waves is so peaceful! The huge deck offers a grill, dining table, and a power-retractable awning, and of course the unforgettable sunset views!
