The house was great and met our needs. Scott and team were responsive to any questions we had. We would stay here again.
Had a great time. Amazing home and perfect location.
We loved our time in crested butte. Always our favorite ski town. Home was perfectly situated for enjoying town and easy access to mountain. Great space to spread out for two families. Only drawback seemed to be less response than we would have expected from property manager re: fireplace not functioning and concerns re: cleanliness of hot tub. But had a great visit otherwise and owner very friendly.
Thank you for the kind words. I do pride myself on being a friendly homeowner. :-)
Regarding my property manager's responsiveness: I have spoken to him about your feedback. On the hot tub, he explained that the chlorine & bromine dispenser needed to be replenished, which apparently did happen shortly after your call. I apologize for that delay issue. It is actually a brand-new hot tub (less than 6 months old), and my tub technician is still familiarizing myself with how this one works. I believe that he now has a handle on how frequently the chemical dispenser needs to be refilled.
As for the fireplace, my property manager did come over immediately to check out the malfunctioning fireplace (of the two fireplaces - the other one was working normally, he said) and spent a ½ hour trying - alas, in vain - to get it to work. I wish I could explain why it didn't function then, but it is at least working fine now. Again, sorry about that. Please come back and visit in the future...next time I guarantee those features will be double checked. Warmest regards, Scott
Winter family vacation
This home is lovely and very accomodating for our family. Spacious and cozy at the same time! Love the location, no car needed. Easy walk to catch the bus up to the mountain & within a block to Elk Avenue. We would love to rent this home again next year!
Debbie, you all are most welcome back any time!
Had a family reunion here and everything was great. The house is amazing, and the extra room downstairs for the kids to play and hang out was a big plus. We were hoping for snow and skiing, but the weather didn't cooperate--so having such a great house to stay at really made the trip. All the shops and restaurants are half a block away. You just can't beat the location. We would definitely stay here again. Owners were extremely attentive and easy to work with and the check out was easy. Can't think of one complaint! Great place to stay in Crested Butte and would love to come back.
So glad you had a great stay, Adam! Come back any time.
What a place!
Comments from some of my happy visitors:
This homer provided a perfect time with family and friends to enjoy one of the most beautiful places in Colorado. Biking, walking, and hiking from the well-stocked garage of bikes, two-seater covered wagon for cruising with the little ones, space for your gear, and more. Gathering back at the home, enjoying the beautifully tended gardens, a soak in the outdoor hot tub, a conversation or read on the front porch swing. The home had the perfect space for family and friends with all age children to comfortably and enjoyably stay. The kitchen was so great to gather round while taking turns cooking breakfast, lunch or dinner, (of course the happy hour deals and restaurants within walking distance are not to be missed :). And the entertainment set up is sweet, with DVD's, books, and Play Station! We were smiling big, but feeling down when we had to pull away from our stay in paradise and head back home. Thanks Uncle Buck for making it happen. You are the Best!
We had an awesome time in Crested Butte! The best way to describe it is perfection. From the front door you can access biking, hiking, farmers markets, shopping and food. The house is very livable-we didn't have to go get anything from the store! What a wonderful place!
Staying here this summer was a true privilege! The house was beautiful...comfortable, had room for plenty of people, had beautiful sunshine coming through the windows with a great kitchen, large enough to cook for 15+people. The yard was a relaxing, wildflower paradise, great for a nap in the sun, a read, or a star-lit dip in the hot tub. This was a memorable family vacation, as everyone was able to come and go as they pleased, enjoying all that Crested Butte has to offer and then join all together for meals! Thank you Uncle Buck, it was so great to connect with family!
Was this Switzerland? Will never forget it!
The elegance is unsurpassed yet understated. Owners are concerned with the cleanliness and upkeep of this lovely chalet. We were there in the summer, but I want to go back in winter for a ski holiday. It will be a spectacular scene at the foot of the mountains.(I can only imagine the hot cocoa and hot toddies by the fireplace.I can see winter with a positive attitude while everyone else is streaming to Florida. I would recommend this home to my friends. Thanks to Scott and Josephine.
