Welcome to our Lake Rosseau 1.2-acre waterfront log retreat on 320 feet of SW-facing frontage located next to a private, stunning waterfall. We are situated in a private bay on Lake Rosseau in Muskoka, a 1 km walk to Windermere Golf and Country Club . Close to Port Carling, Rosseau, Bracebridge and Huntsville and only a 2.5 hour drive from Toronto.

Secluded, 7 bedroom, 5 bathroom retreat, fully equipped. Cathedral ceilings, wood-burning fireplace, wrap-around decks, beautiful kitchen, brand new log guest house, boat house, 3 car garage with EV charger, canoe, paddle boat, fishing boat with 9.9 Yamaha motor and all the amenities. We have a stunning south view from the dock looking down to the main part of Lake Rosseau and located right on a waterfall. There is also a 6 person barrel sauna overlooking the lake, large waterfront decks and an oversized sand box for the children.

Our secluded cottage is extremely private. We are the last cottage on the private road surrounded by forest and a stunning 40 foot waterfall. The cottage is west facing with 2 large docks, boat house, diving board and swim raft. There is a 2 bedroom 1 bathroom guest house which sleeps 6 and a 3 car garage. If privacy is what you want then this is the cottage for you. This cottage has wonderful swimming and gorgeous sunsets.

The house is a wonderful place to escape to, wish we would have had a longer stay there. Many stairs to get to water but was well worth the climb. Winter Birthday Trip

I rented Pat and Morley’s cottage for my birthday weekend with a group of friends. Though there was a big snow storm, Morley made sure to keep in touch with me and ensured the driveway was plowed and safe for us before we left. Both the main cottage and bunkie were fantastic – clean and well stocked with linens and towels. The sauna was great too, would love to come back in the summer to enjoy the water!

Lovely house but property had a few drawbacks

The house itself is really lovely with excellent bathrooms and really comfortable furniture. Our family enjoyed the space, the outside grill and the sauna. But the access road to the house is difficult if you don't have an SUV or some four wheel drive car, as it is gravel with steep hills and ruts. The lake was fine for fishing and our grandsons enjoyed that aspect of it very much. But the water was murky and no one went swimming.

We love the clean water, the great fishing, the sunsets, the quiet lakes, the friendliness of the neighbours, the amenities of Muskoka and the ease of access from Toronto. We treasure the family and friend-time we spend together at the cottage and know that we are very lucky to have “a little piece of heaven” up North.

Why they chose this property

Welcome to our stunning 7-bedroom 5 washroom log cottage and guest house located at the base of Clark Falls....one of only 2 waterfalls on the big lakes. We have 320 feet of private waterfront with a stunning view of a 40 foot waterfall and looking south to the main part of Lake Rosseau. Rentals include the use of our 12 foot fishing boat with a 9.9 hp 4 stroke motor so you can boat to restaurants, fish and boat to the Windermere golf and country club and resort or boat to the Marriott Hotel. We also provide a canoe, 2 kayaks a stand up paddle board and pedal boat.

Our 3500 sq ft air conditioned main cottage has 5 bedrooms and 4 washrooms. The interior has cathedral ceilings, cherry hardwood floors and a wrap-around deck. We are 1 km walking distance from the world famous Windemere golf and country club and resort and a 30 minute drive to where there are shops, cafes, restaurants, movies and attractions are in Port Carling, Rosseau, Bracebridge or Huntsville. It is a perfect getaway for up to 14 people and only a two and a half hour drive from Toronto.

What makes this property unique

We are located at the base of a 40 foot absolutely stunning private waterfall at the end of a bay on Lake Rosseau. We are a 2 minute boat ride the the famous Windermere Resort, marina and golf club. We are a 10 minute boat ride from the Marriott Hotel. We are uniquely located in the heart of all the action but situated in a very private bay.
