Nestled within the conveniently located Kauhale Makai complex, this fully upgraded condo is a testament to refined elegance, promising a lavish retreat for up to 2 discerning guests. Immerse yourself in the lap of luxury, where every detail has been meticulously crafted to create a haven of comfort and sophistication.

The bedroom features a King bed and property offers spacious fully renovated kitchen, bathroom, and living room!

A fully stocked and supplied kitchen is perfect for preparing your own meals to enjoy on your private lanai. You will also have access to grill on the outdoor barbecues.

A waterfront complex, Kauhale Makai is conveniently located, and ideal for your next getaway! It comfortably accommodates up to two people. Take a stroll on the beach, bask in the trade winds or sip your coffee on your beautiful lanai with views of the ocean and pool area! This romantic space will leave you with lifelong memories.

Located oceanfront in North Kihei, Kauhale Makai (in Hawaiian, “Village by the Sea”) is the ideal location for a family or couples retreat. Two buildings with 168 units stretch towards the ocean on tropical grounds. The complex provides shuffleboard and volleyball courts, a pool, a children’s wading pool, hot tub, a putting green, gas barbecues and even a sauna. Each well-appointed unit includes its very own private lanai (balcony). The complex also has coin-operated laundry facilities on property for your convenience. Kauhale Makai’s location on South Kihei Road makes it the perfect base for exploring this magical island. Just minutes away are some of the world’s most beautiful beaches, superb shopping, renowned restaurants, and world-class golf.

Your condo comes equipped with beach chairs, beach towels, a beach umbrella and a cooler for your enjoyment!

Communal Laundry Facility available on-site:
A washer costs 6 quarters a load, and dryers are 1 quarter for each 10 minutes. Soap packets and quarters can be purchased at the office on site. There is also an app you can download on your smart phone to pay for the items.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Overall, our stay was adequate, but there were definitely some downsides that impacted the experience. The biggest concern was what appeared to be black mold on the bathroom ceiling. I did message management about it during our stay but unfortunately never received any acknowledgment or response regarding the concern.The condo itself had a few missing finer details that would have made the stay more comfortable, such as travel coffee cups and a better entertainment setup. The living room TV only had cable access with no ability to log into streaming apps, so we ended up having to spend time in the bedroom watching TV instead of relaxing comfortably in the living room.The bed was also extremely soft, which may be uncomfortable for anyone with back pain or who prefers firmer support. The front door knob was very tricky as well and frequently gave us difficulty getting into the condo.One disappointment was that the hot tub closed at 9 PM, which felt very early for a vacation property, and we also did not have access to the sauna.That being said, there were still positives. The condo had a nice peekaboo ocean view, and you could also see Haleakalā in the opposite direction, which was beautiful.Overall, I would probably rate the experience a B-. It wasn’t terrible by any means, but I’ve definitely stayed at better condos for a similar price point.

Nice location on the beach side of Kihei road.

We enjoyed walking to the beach. Weather was perfect. Condo was nice. I liked having the laundry facilities and elevator close by—steps from the unit. No noise or problems…It made it really convenient.

Perfect Unit - Great Views

This unit looks just like the pictures, great condition, comfortable bed including the sofa bed (they had an additional egg crate to put on it). The best thing about this unit were the extras! I can’t list them all but I’ll try beach chairs, umbrella, ice chest, snorkel gear, pillows, blankets, spices and sauces, coffee filters, plastic wrap, WiFi, and everything you need to cook. BBQs were in great condition and close, pool was clean a little chilly, hot tub was HOT, beach was close, nice outside patio, and views were spectacular.
