Very relaxing, beautiful house and location!

We had a great time! Had everything that we needed to feel right at home. Kids and adults had plenty to do in the game room and with the outdoor activities provided. The only downside was that the outdoor furniture had alot of spider webs ! Truly a wonderful property.

Beautiful Home!

  • 5 of 5

I rented this home for a golf trip with 16 total adults. It was perfect. Location was outstanding and the house had plenty of room for 16 guys. The house had everything we needed and more. The outside area is awesome. Plenty of room for relaxing, enjoying the water or playing games. We will be back next year.

Amazing house with great ammenities.

  • 5 of 5

We rented this house for a family get together. We came from all directions to enjoy the Point, fishing, boating, and just hanging out. We loved sitting outside at night with a bon fire watching the sunsets, and a pretty amazing view of a storm. The kids loved using the canoe, and kayak and never wanted to spend time inside in the game room. They have that stuff at home, and just enjoyed the outside. There was plenty of room for 18 to have dinners in the house and sleeping space and we were able to hang out in the green space that was a perfect size. The house had everything you needed. Only item I would add would be one more garbage can. Cause when we got there 1 and a half were full, so we were getting pretty full with trash and it was not picked up till Friday morning. It was nice being so close to the Point and the waterparks. The only other problem was taken care of a couple of days later, when the pest control came and sprayed the house and yard. We used a lot of bug spray for the mosquitos, and flies, but that is to be expected by the lake but the young kids were freaked out by all the webs in and out with spiders. When the pest guy sprayed that eliminated all of them.

So if you stay just bring your bug spray. This was a great home for our stay and everyone had an awesome time.

Beautiful vacation home with access to both lake and bay, close to Cedar Point amusement park.

  • 5 of 5

Our family of 17 people in three generations celebrated the wedding of a nephew with a week-long FamilyMoon. We were delighted by the nautical-themed decor that included authentic vintage port holes in the bathrooms and a teak swim deck made into a bar. We considered it a real life version of SpongeBob Squarepants' house.

We appreciated the prompt response of the owner to small maintenance problems that came up. We were impressed by how well-stocked the kitchen is with cooking pots (including a large crock pot) and utensils for a large party, multiple coffee pots, dish towels, and a stocked spice rack.

We had great weather for enjoying a lake house in summer and watched a gorgeous sunset from the swim dock every evening and sunrise from the beach on the lake side. The dock was the perfect gathering place for both coffee and cocktails, and throughout the day.

We also found that this is the best way to enjoy a day at Cedar Point amusement park, (a mere 2 miles down the road) by being at the gate when the park opens, going back to the house for a late lunch and refreshing swim, and going back to the park from 8 pm until the fireworks at closing. Although the house is located conveniently close to Cedar Point, we were never bothered by noise or traffic related to the park.

The lake-side beach felt private with friendly neighbors being the only other people on it. The biting flies on the beach were nasty, but we solved that by just hanging out in the water.

The young adults enjoyed hanging out 'til all hours and sleeping in the detached garage cum game room, while one more senior couple enjoyed being able to go to bed and rise early in the detached guest house. Our patriarch and his consort felt like royalty in the king suite with their own fireplace, bathroom with spa tub, and laundry/dressing room.

We were asked to treat the home as if it were our own, so with the dual goals of, "If you see something that needs to be done, do it," and "Exceed expectations," we pulled a few weeds from between paving stones outside, vacuumed under the couch cushions and under the couches themselves (while looking for missing DVDs) and took our returnables and recyclables home with us. We would definitely return for another family reunion. The positive qualities of this outstanding vacation home cannot be over-stated.
