Private space with beautiful views. Peaceful location and proximity to wonderful hiking or snowshoeing/skiing. Conveniently located. Separate Entrace. Driveway parking. Contactless Check-in. Enjoy wildlife, the sunrise over the valley and the vast farmland that surrounds the home. 6 miles to Shindagin Hollow State Forest and Six Mile Creek Winery. 10min to Ithaca. 4min to the famous Brookton Market Cafe. I am happy to provide suggestions for things to do and look forward to hosting you!

THE SPACE
The space was designed with comfort, convenience and cleanliness in mind. The large leather couch, blankets, touch lamp with phone charger docks, WiFi and Smart TV offer you a cozy reprieve after an adventurous day. The Kitchen is stocked with necessities for Meal Prep, Filtered Water Pitcher, Ice Trays, Keurig with Coffee/Tea & Creamer, Cookware, Dishware, Glassware, Utensils, Dishwasher and more. Other items like a blowdryer, iron and ironing board are also provided. Walk-out daylight basement apartment - 30% of space underground and the rest is at ground level. Feel free to message me with any questions!

GUEST ACCESS
Guests have access to the entire apartment with separate private entrance.

OTHER THINGS TO NOTE
Our neighborhood and apartment is serene and quiet. If we are home, you will hear some foot steps and possible occasional barking when the mail carrier comes around :).

Away from hustle and bustle

Unit was very clean and as advertised. Maria was very responsive when we contacted her with questions. The location is just outside of Ithaca, so you will need to drive 15-20 minutes if you want your conveniences.

Visiting Daughter at Cornell

Great place to stay and an incredible host. We were welcomed with a bottle of wine. I highly recommend staying here. 10 minutes away from everything. Awesome place and can’t thank them enough.

Visit to Grandson and his family

Location was perfect for us. We were only about a mile from our grandson. The place was great for the two of us; had everything we needed. The host was very nice and did me a great favor. My only complaint would be the slight musty smell in the lower level unit. Would stay here again.

Outstanding apartment

The apartment was beautiful. very clean and neat. There is only one item I would like to bring attention to the owner. We have no experience with septic systems. Every time the toilet flushed there was a strong odor of sewer fumes in the hallway. We dont know if this was normal?

Fine for our purposes

The unit is the lower section of a house. That surprised us, but it was fine. The space was clean and close enough to Ithaca campus. However, the A/C unit in the master bedroom was VERY loud and the space required a dehumidifier which was also running and blowing hot air so the room really never retained a good temperature. Since the unit is on sewer and septic be advised that when the shower is running an odor comes into the bedroom. Again not bad and with the hosts accessibility and communication the space was adequate for our purposes of moving our child to school.

Basement apartment needing dehumidifier running all the time made it a little musty and noisy in a severe heat wave. Other than that it was comfortable, attractive and well located for us.

immaculate-- and the fireflies were a plus!

This is a one-bedroom apartment beneath the host's home. The apartment was sparkling, and the host had thoughtfully provided pretty much everything one might need in this kind of rental. Towels are really nice and soft (my thing!) The one thing the descriptions don't mention is that this time of year, the fields behind the house are FULL OF FIREFLIES and the entire field absolutely glitters after dark. It was nice to come "home" to!

A Memorable Stay in the lap of Nature

Beautiful vacation home in the midst of lush green surroundings. Very well managed and a clean property, exactly as described. All essential items for a relaxed vacation provided and very thoughtful of the owner to provide stuff which many a times we forget to carry. Enough qty. of blankets, towels etc provided for a comfortable stay. Safe and easily approachable place with private parking near to the entrance. Stayed with extended family with a kid and enjoyed every moment of our stay.

The home was comfortable, clean, good amenities, and nicely furnished. Our host sent helpful info about where to go and what to do. She checked in during our stay to see if we needed anything. We had a very positive experience.

Brooktondale is known as a beautiful place to live with a strong sense of community and neighborly love. The Brookton Market Cafe is my favorite gem outside of the local Gorges, Waterfalls, hiking, biking, lakes and wineries. Here you are able to experience a stay in the gorgeous countryside while still having the convenience of being close to the sights.
