We had a great stay! The house was very clean. The backyard firepit was a great place to hang out after a day of hiking. It was very peaceful. Communication with the owners was simple and house was identical to online listing. Woud definitely stay again!

Enjoyed the house very much! Every detail was spot on. Clean, comfortable and convenient: 3 minutes from Newfield, 10 minutes to Ithaca. Outdoor amenities were a plus. Country living at its finest.

We had a great stay at this house for the weekend. We toured Cornell University and hiked at Buttermilk Falls Park. The house was located close to both places. The kitchen was well-stocked, as was the house. We had a lovely campfire out back. Owners responded quickly to emails and made it easy to check out and in.

Cozy Place Close to Parks and Downtown Ithaca

This house is comfortable and nicely decorated. The location has easy access to Treman State Park and surrounding area, and is only a short drive to downtown Ithaca.

I was extremely impressed with the property. It was spotless, tastefully decorated, and the back deck and fire pit added a nice outdoor space. The hosts had provided bottled water and a few snacks, which were greatly appreciated after a long drive. It was only about 15 minutes from downtown Ithaca and the college campus. If you stay there, go outside at night & look at the stars! There’s so little light pollution, the night sky is amazing.

Communication was excellent and Lindsay was very accommodating. The place was very clean, comfortable and had all the necessary amenities for a great weekend visit. Good location to go to Buttermilk Falls, the Commons and Ithaca. Would highly recommend this charming place.

The amenities were as described. The porch is lovely. WiFi worked great. Some windows couldn’t be opened due to no screens and no cranks. It was over 80 degrees with multiple fans running. It is true there is air conditioning, but there is only 1 small window unit in the bedroom with the queen bed. I think in fall or spring the house would be perfect. This house was very clean and had an ample supply of towels. It was a nice touch to have several snacks in a bowl on the table for guests. There were kcups and several kinds of tea available as well.

This was one of the best stays we’ve ever had! The hosts went above and beyond with the cleanliness of the property and home. The kitchen and the bathroom were stocked with everything you could possibly need. There were even toys there if children were staying. The host dropped off propane for the outdoor grill as we were driving up. I had mentioned that we were staying for our anniversary and they had a card and fresh flowers there for us as well. I will certainly tell our family and friends to stay here if they are vacationing in the Fingerlake area. Thank you so very much!!

Awesome Rental

This is a great rental if you’re exploring the area. Half hour to finger lakes and shopping if needed. Lindsey has set up the house with everything you need. It’s on a quiet back road and we had a great a stay. My wife and I use VRBO’s a lot every year on our travels seeing this great country and this rental was a winner.

The absolute only struggle I had was with the sulfur smell of the water.

Great place to stay while exploring waterfalls, Cornell University, and Corning Museum of Glass

The property was private and perfect as a home base for our vacation. We hiked at Watkins Glen, Buttermilk Falls, and Taughannock Falls, spent a day at Corning Glass, and another day at Cornell’s botanical gardens, arboretum and art museum, visited wineries and even a found a cheese tasting—all of this within easy driving distance from the house. Many hosts are in the business to make money with as little attention to detail as possible, but this was not the case with Lindsey. We were greeted with fresh flowers, local snacks and drinks, a well-stocked bathroom, and everything we needed to have a great stay. Lindsey offered great suggestions for local dining, and was very responsive with any concerns. To balance this review, there were a few things that might be an issue for some people: the AC was a window unit, not central, and the tap water has a sulfer odor. Lindsey countered these with well-placed fans and plenty of bottled water for drinking. All-in-all, a great place to stay.

Everything was great. Description is on the spot and met all our expectations. Quiet location at night, even though the house is by the transit road. Bedroom windows are to the backyard, so any sound of passing cars get effectively muffled. It is not far from Ithaca and few gorgous state parks with waterfalls. Inside it is cozy and kitchen has all utensils what you may need for cooking breakfast or dinner. Great communucation with the host and check in was very easy. Will definitely be back again.

Wir haben zwei Nächte in Newfield verbracht und uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Nach dem Trubel in New York war es genau das Richtige. Das Haus ist gemütlich und modern eingerichtet, man kann schön draußen sitzen und blickt in den Wald. Vorne gibt es noch eine kleine Veranda, die mit Blumen bepflanzt ist:) Auch in der Küche fehlte es an nichts!
