This 1800 sq ft private oceanside townhome has everything for the extraordinary beach vacation:

I remember when the Sea Dunes were first built and they were completely unique because they have first floor garages with great resort amenities, but are still just a few steps to the beach. There are very few properties that are so large inside, with 3 bedrooms, so close to the beach, with so many resort amenities that are still so centrally located. Plus you get multiple balconies with breezy ocean views. The Kitty Hawk Beach here is like no other running so close to the beach road. Nearly half the residents @ Sea Dunes are locals and the others are long term 2nd home owners. A hidden gem on the Outer Banks.

You'll have access to this entire townhome with a 2-car garage, 2 additional parking spaces, and to the resort amenities.

We are always a message or call away. Managing our vacation rentals is our #1 job in the summer. We provide professional cleaning and maintenance directly as needed. We provide the same hospitality as a family-run business as my parents did on the Outer Banks since 1973.

The Kitty Hawk Beach here is like no other running so close to the beach road. Nearly half the residents @ Sea Dunes are locals and the others are long term 2nd home owners. A hidden gem on the Outer Banks, there is a waiting list of new owners who want to buy here.

Clearly the sunrise on the balcony over the ocean view cannot be beat. The beach is so close. But there are also many great shops and restaurants in walking distance: John's Drive In and Cap't Franks are Outer Banks institutions; The Black Pelican Oceanfront Restaurant is one of the best on the beach; Barefoot Bernies has live music; and don't forget La Fagota's Mexican, Sanya Sushi, Stack 'em High Pancakes.

Conveniently located at the 4MP on the beach road, quickly access all the activities the Outer Banks offers. Great restaurants & shops in walking distance.

80 Steps from the Beach.
Must adhere to resort rules posted in the unit, I can send you a copy on request. They are common-sense rules so that all in the community are happy!

Quiet time after 10PM

Up to 2 well behaved dogs are allowed for a $25 / night fee.

No Cats allowed.

No cooking curry or other heavily spiced dishes - we don't have a spice kitchen and cannot remove the odor from heavily spiced cooking between guests - I will assess a $250 fee through the Resolution Center for the cost of odor removal.

Smoking on the deck permitted, but not inside.

No overcrowding - I will assess a $100 per night fee for each person over the maximum occupancy of 8 through the Airbnb resolution center.

Must be 25 years old to make a reservation.

Off Season Getaway

The townhouse was very nicely furnished and clean. It had all of the utensils that I needed to cook breakfast and snacks. We were very comfortable and enjoyed the beach access and general location. I would definitely book this townhouse again.

Best unkept secret in OBX

This is simply the best little neighborhood in OBX. Our property was great. Close to the beach, awesome neighbors and food and fun within a quick walk. Just don’t tell your friends how cool this place is…you won’t be able to book it next time. Owners ante amazing and place is great. Just one complaint…I like to eat outside and the patio furniture was lacking comfort. Would stay here again 100%

Great Location

Great location, easy walk to beach and pool. If you cook a lot, you will probably need to bring an extra pot and an electric skillet. Couch was a little outdated but overall, it served our purpose. Please note kitchen and living room are on top floor and you must climb two flights of stairs to access it. I share this not as a complaint but just as info. Just in case you have anyone in your family that struggles with that. Overall great place! No major complaints!

We enjoyed Kitty Hawk

Very nice town. The place we stayed was very close to the beaches and town. We had to pay a cleaning fee but there were large dust balls under the beds, one soda/juice bottle under the bed. The furniture and beds were outdated and extremely uncomfortable. One shower on main level was leaking into garage which dropped Sheetrock onto one of our vehicles. When I tried to notify owner, he didn’t respond within 24 hours. He asked several questions after the fact if we had allowed the water to get onto the floor. Again, nice town, but inside unit needs updating.

Amazing Vacation

We had an amazing vacation at the Sea Dunes condo. It was wonderful being able to walk to the ocean or sit and relax on one of the decks and enjoy the view of the ocean. The kids loved their rooms and so did my husband and I. We are definitely buying the same bed very soon as it was so comfortable. The kitchen had everything we needed...stocked up on some more k-cups as we drink a lot of coffee. We did forget beach towels, but found a great deal up the street at Publix. Keep the steps in mind when staying here and probably all through the OBX. We live on one floor in our house, so definitely got a workout...which was actually kind of nice. The kids loved the waves and spent the week riding them all week. I wish the weather were nicer, but we still enjoyed the beach and pool every day. The community center and everyone that staffs it is super nice and friendly. There is so much to do in the community center and that is definitely helpful with teenagers. I would definitely recommend this condo and the owner was super helpful and great getting back to us with all of our questions.

You can't beat the location!

We had a great time and enjoyed being so close to an amazing stretch of beach. The property was very clean and we enjoyed being able to cook a full meal in the kitchen, plus had plenty of space for our party of 4 to hang out in the house during the evening, watching movies, playing cards, etc.

We had a great time at the Dunes. The host was exceptionally welcoming. The place was very clean. We specially appreciated the fact that the host left us a note that we could use anything in the house. This made us feel very comfortable. We had forgotten some last minute items and knowing that we could use theirs made it convenient. The only drawback that I had were the nosy neighbors. They tattletale.

Water’s Edge @ Sea Dunes is a lovely home and an amazing location. Everything about this home is warm and welcoming. It is probably the cleanest home we have ever rented. The open floor plan and vaulted ceilings made for a very livable and cozy setting. It’s within easy walking distance of the ocean. With a private stair access to the beach, it’s easy to get to the water. And you can hear the surf from the outdoor deck. The internet connection was flawless and the other entertainment options were great. The property managers are accessible and helpful. Detailed, informative, and clear communications were provided. We really enjoyed our stay.

I grew up in the Outer Banks in the 70s and 80s working in the hospitality industry starting at age 12. Since 1990 I have lived elsewhere as an international technology executive and volunteer minister. I've worked and vacationed all over the world but still come back home to my favorite beach.

I love to introduce people to my home town and think it is the best place for a relaxed family vacation. I want to help you any way I can by giving you the best property and expert recommendations from nearly 50 years of OBX experiences. Just ask me to help in any way to have the best vacation and I will do my best!

My goal in life is to "retire" to the OBX and recreate the Anchorage Motel & Cottages my parents owned and operated from 1972-2004 as a "virtual resort" by renting some of the best, affordable, family-oriented properties on the OBX.

This property is centrally located on the OBX in Kitty Hawk with great ocean views! Just a few steps from a restful beach, you get the best of resort living. Mornings at the pool, afternoons at the beach, and evenings playing tennis or basketball!

We keep the property in good shape, comfortable, with all the supplies you need to have a great summer beach week (or weekend in the spring or fall). With 3 bedrooms you can comfortably sleep 7 plus there is a pullout sofa for an 8th (or even 9th). Putting the living space and balcony on the top floor makes this space ultimately breezy and livable while on vacation.

When you rent from us, you are getting a local family with 50 years of hospitality on the Outer Banks. I strive to answer questions as fast as possible, 80% within 5 minutes during business hours and 100% within one day.
