A family gem, called Lil Fret, has been passed down from generation to generation. And, each family member has added their special style and characteristics to the place that we call home. We hope you will take pride in the care we give to the house and enjoy the splendid qualities that a true cottage on the Outer Banks has to offer. Settle in with a nice dinner on the screened-in porch and watch the sunset over the house with the cool breeze from the ocean. Listen to the beach sounds roll in while you play ball or clean up your fresh catch from the day under the carport. As well as enjoy the outside shower before heading inside. Each room offers coziness to get that beach rest that comes with the salty ocean breeze at night. Enjoy an easy walk to the beach and take advantage of the conveniences of restaurants and shopping close by.

Such a cozy house right near the beach! We spent the week getting up and making the short walk to the beach each day and couldn't have been happier. The property manager was so communicative and made the stay so easy. Would definitely stay here again!

Great location awesome screened porch

We loved the house. Very clean and well equipped. The screened porch was our favorite. So close to the ocean. The bed was comfortable and the house is nicely furnished.

Retreat at Lil Fret

We loved Lil Fret! It was a short walk to the beach and mini golf! Super close to grocery stores and all the beach essentials. Living room was just the right size to sit around and play card games and have conversations. We had 5 teens and 2 adults and we were comfortable. The outdoor shower was awesome for getting everyone clean after coming back from the beach. We are thinking of coming back with our family and can’t recommend this place enough.
