Overview

About the property

Apartment, 2 Bedrooms + Convertible bed(s), 1 Bath, (Sleeps 4-6)

This luxury apartment is on the second US floor ( one floor up from the street) accessible with an elevator. It has been decorated with taste and attention to details.

The property has 4 separated rooms plus kitchen, a bathroom and a toilet. The main bedroom has a queen bed and the second bedroom has a full bed. There is an elegant living room with a large flat screen TV and a comfortable sofa. Next to it, the fourth room is a dining room with a table big enough for 10 guests. The modern kitchen is fully equipped. It has a large stove. The bathroom is modern and very pleasant to use..

You can go to from one bedroom to any room without disturbing the persons in the other bedroom.

According to Parisians, its location is the most pleasant district of Paris, the 5th arrondissement. What do you think about having a view on the Val de Grace church, and cruising in rue Mouffetard and Rue Monge, known for their typical markets and Parisian atmosphere, and next to Luxembourg garden.

It felt like a real neighborhood, away from most of the tourist spots, but within close proximity to everything. We found some wonderful restaurants along Rue Saint Jacques, Blvd. Montparnasse, Rue Vavin, and around the Luxembourg Gardens.

The Val de grace, which is few yards away, is a Military Hospital built in the XVII° century and offers the second nicest church and 'Dôme' of Paris after the Invalides.  It is in a very nice area, with the Luxembourg Garden, Pantheon and Sorbonne all less than 5 minutes away.

A seven-minute walk south then right on the boulevard du Montparnasse and then past the Vavin Metro stop takes you to a bustling area of up-scale cafés and creperies. Several of the cafés are historically famous, and were frequented by Hemingway, Chagall, Matisse, and Picasso. The café Closerie des Lilas, at the corner of boulevard du Montparnasse and boulevard St-Michel, is where Hemingway penned 'The Sun Also Rises' in a mere two weeks. This area really comes alive late at night.

The fresh food market on Blvd. Port Royal is friendly and full of seasonal fruits and vegetables as well as game and all kinds of cheese. There is also a wonderful boucherie just off Rue St. Jacques and Blvd. Port Royal as well as Rue Val de Grace.

Guestbook comments from the manager

My husband, adult daughter, and I totally enjoyed our two week stay in this

charming Rue du Val de Grace apartment with every amenity. The owner was

a delightful hostess who helped to make our vacation perfect. We truly felt

that we were in a Parisian home rather than a rental. The location was great -

a short walk to the Metro, cafes, grocery stores, and the loveliest garden in Paris.

Simple elegance

  • 5 of 5

My husband, sister in law and myself shared this lovely apartment for a 5 night stay this October. We really enjoyed the comfort and ease of having our own kitchen, washer and dryer and beautifully appointed living space in the busy city of Paris. We used the dining room for our short term office and dining area; the wifi was excellent. The only issue we had was it was rather noisy in the morning (after 7am) on the street side. If you are fine with an early start to the day, the noise won't be an issue. The kitchen was equipped with everything we could possibly need and there was an excellent bakery a few doors down. The location is excellent in terms of transit, restaurants and sights. The owner was very friendly and met us when we arrived. She even stocked the fridge with cold drinks and left a delicious brioche. Enjoy Paris!

EXCELLENT

  • 5 of 5

We absolutely loved this location, loved the apartment, and felt very welcomed and informed for our first trip to Paris. We will be back and hope to stay here again, and will absolutely recommend this to our friends.

The owners were so lovely upon our arrival, and the apartment is very well stocked for anything you may need.

Loved the neighborhood feel.

Thank you so much!!!

EXCEPTIONAL Hostess & BEAUTIFUL Home!

  • 5 of 5

If you have come across this listing and looking for a place in Paris look NO FURTHER! This place was amazing. Clean, fully furnished and outfitted with everyting you can think of. The welcoming drinks in fridge and a bowl of petite pastrys on our day of arrival were so appreciated. From the day I booked to the day we arrived Josette was so very helpful. Our first visit to Paris and our centrally located home was music to our hearts. I will recommend this place to everyone I run across who is looking for a place in Paris.

A super comfy apartment with a wonderful owner

  • 5 of 5

I've rented several apartments in Paris over the years and this is one of my favorites. It's very comfortable, super clean and Josette, the owner, is warm and responsive. I'll get very specific here, because I know I'm always looking for the details in reviews. The apartment is one easy flight of steps up from the ground floor; we never needed to use the small elevator. The bed we slept in (and the bedding itself) was so comfortable that we slept straight through the night with no jet lag issues. Extra towels and pillows were available. The washer and electric dryer work like new, which is very handy if, like me, you like to pack lightly and do laundry a couple of times. The bathroom has been recently redone, with a deep bathtub and shower, strong water pressure and plenty of hot water. The kitchen may look small in the photos but it has everything you need: more dishes, glasses, pots and pans than I have even in my own home; a toaster; microwave; gas oven/stove; and every kind of coffee pot (including drip, pod machine and French press). Josette has kindly provided all of the products that you need only once or twice but that are expensive to buy -- like sugar, vinegar, oil, tea, salt, pepper, spices, coffee pods, shower gel, laundry soap, dish-washer soap, sponge, and hand and dish soap. Some owners cut corners by not providing these kind of things but not Josette, she truly tried to anticipate our every need. The refrigerator even came stocked with bottled water, milk, juices, and other drinks so we didn't have to immediately go shopping. The location is superb: The apartment is a 3-minute walk from the Port-Royal RER station, which is on the RER B line. This meant we could take the train directly from and to CDG airport, with no station changes. This, alone, saved us $110 euros in taxis. And, yes, this apartment is as close to Luxembourg Gardens as it looks on the map. There is a wine store and butcher across the street, and two bakeries within three blocks. There are grocery stores nearby, including an organic store. The TV is brand new and is wifi enabled; Netflix even works if you have an account to sign in with. The neighborhood may seem loud during the day, with lots of school kids coming and going, but, except for the occasional ambulance, is quiet at nigh night. Josette was responsive by text and by phone the few times we needed things, especially when our original flight was canceled. I would stay here again in a heartbeat!

Lovely Apartment in a Great Location

  • 5 of 5

My daughter and I stayed in this beautiful apartment in August 2017. The location is perfect. It is located in a residential area, so it is quiet at night, but is walking distance to many great restaurants, and it is only a 2 minute walk to the train station which makes all the tourist sights of Paris easily accessible. We also felt very safe in the area, even when walking at night.

The Apartment itself is very clean and well presented - with everything you need for your stay. The beds are also very comfortable.

We received a very warm welcome from Josette who also provided a folder full of valuable information regarding local restaurants, bus and train information etc.

We absolutely loved our time in this apartment. We highly recommend it and would not hesitate to stay here again.

Thankyou Josette for your wonderful hospitality.
