Condo, 2 Bedrooms + Convertible bed(s), 2 Baths, (Sleeps 4-6)
Island Royale is an upscale beachfront condominium that was built in 2002. It is located directly on the beach in the heart of Gulf Shores on West Beach Boulevard. The owners stay in this non-smoking/no pets allowed condo often so you will feel right at home. It has an oversized bubble-shaped balcony, which can be accessed from both the living area and the master bedroom. The condo has a KEYPAD entry so you do not have to keep up with keys.
The balcony has one round table, four chairs, and a lounge chair with a side table. Black-out drapes cover both sets of windows and doors. You can sleep late or open the drapes and watch the sun rise. The condo has almost 1,100 square feet with nine-foot ceilings, seven-foot doors, crown molding, granite countertops in the kitchen, and corian countertops in the bathrooms.
The condo has been completely repainted, and 20-inch porcelain tile has been installed throughout the condo. It looks brand new. This condo is not in front of an elevator so noise is not a problem.
The living area includes a sofa that opens into a queen-sized bed, a chair which matches the sofa, a Lazy Boy recliner, 40-inch flat screen TV, DVD player, and CD stereo sound system. Sit on the sofa and look at the Gulf of Mexico from this fifth-floor condo, or go on the balcony and watch the dolphins playing in the water.
The master bedroom has a king-sized bed, a large dresser, 40-inch flat screen TV and blue-ray player in an armoire, two nightstands, a private full-sized bathroom, and doors leading to the balcony with a view of the Gulf. The guest bedroom has two twin beds, a large dresser, nightstand, 32-inch flat screen TV, and a connecting full-sized bathroom, which also opens to the living area. Look out the window in the guest bedroom and see the lagoon on the north side. Both bedrooms have great closet and drawer space.
The dining area has a glass top table which seats six and a granite bar which seats three. The kitchen is complete with every large and small appliance you will need: side-by-side refrigerator with ice and water in the door, microwave, dishwasher, garbage disposal, coffeepot, blender, toaster, mixer, and can opener.
A wide variety of pots, pans, dishes, glassware, and other utensils are available. The kitchen has a separate pantry with lots of shelf space and even a place to put the garbage can. Also, the condo has a separate laundry room with a full-sized washer and dryer, ironing board, and iron. All linens and towels are provided.
DIRECTIONS: From Interstate 10, take Highway 59 south. When you reach the beach, turn right on Highway 182 (West Beach Boulevard). Go approximately three-fourths of a mile, and Island Royale is on the left on the beautiful white beaches of Gulf Shores, just across the street from Ike's Beach Rental Service.
The modern yellowish-tan building has a white diamond shape on the front and an upper level parking area. You may park anywhere that is not numbered. Some of the parking is covered. Carts are available in the elevator area for an easy move in. Have a great vacation!! Once you get here, you will not want to leave, but you will want to come back again and again and again!!!

Condo was in amazing condition and owners were extremely attentive.
We have stayed in many rentals I GS over the years and this is by far the best. Very clean, nice bedding and comfortable clean furniture. (clean unworn furniture is not easy to come by in a rental)
Thank you for an amazing experience.
Great condo with beautiful gulf front view
We have rented this condo four years in a row. It is tastefully decorated, very well maintained and has everything you need. You can't beat the view from the spacious balcony and the direct access to the beach. Lots of great restaurants and activities nearby.
Don't let this one get away !
The condo was well maintained and conveniently located.
We enjoyed our stay at Island Royale. Despite Hurricane Nate coming through it was a grand stay. The owners were kind enough to come back the day after and pull a lounge chair out of an owners closet even without us asking them to. Furnishings were fine, beds clean, throw blankets available. All dinnerware was nice, we used paper plates mostly and ate out a lot. One night we did bake cookies and made pizza, unfortunately I was charged a 27.00 fee from my deposit because they said they had to buy a new cookie sheet and pizza pan. NOTE: these items were NOT burnt and I would have washed them myself ( I washed all towels and stripped beds and washed sheets before leaving) but I did not want to put Teflon in the dishwasher and the towels were in the wash already. I thought that anyone would appreciate us not destroying a Teflon pan in the dishwasher but it cost me. Also you may want to bring more towels if you have the condo at max capacity it was only me and 2 teen girls and I washed towels twice a day.
This stay would have been a 5 star report and we would be going back for sure had it not been for the owner charging me for a pizza pan and cookie sheet that was NOT ruined or damaged. The owners clean the condo themselves so I took time to clean and straighten so that they would not have a long Saturday. Sometimes doing the right thing bites you in the bottom. So we will not be back to this unit.
First, I almost did not rent to this person because of the 1 STAR rating she had gotten in Panama City. When Hurricane Nate came, I even offered to reschedule their dates. On the date they checked in, I cleaned the condo and got them in by noon before the bad weather got here. When I got to the condo to clean after them on the date of departure, the kitchen cabinet was piled with trash and both sinks were filled with dirty pans. The two I could not get clean were the griddle and the pizza pan. The bottoms were BURNT, and no attempt had been made to clean or to even soak them. I bought two new pans as replacements for my next renters, and I did charge her for replacing them. I leave EIGHT towels in my condo so the THREE of them had to have used at least FIVE towels a day for them to have to be washed TWICE daily. They had also used the sofa bed in the living room although there was a king sized bed and two twin beds for the three of them to use. Yes, she put some of the sheets in to wash, but she left dirty sheets and the comforter folded up in the couch. There was so much folded up into the couch that one of the springs had broken.
This was by far the nicest condo I have ever stayed in. The owners, Mike and Debra Cross, are so great to work with and nice! This condo is immaculate!! You will not stay at a cleaner place! And it is absolutely BEAUTIFUL!! We had a great vacation!! Thank you, Mike and Debra, for letting us stay!! It was great!!
It was a pleasure working with the owner. Condo was clean and well kept. No problems at all. Hope to stay again soon!
#505 Island Royale Gulf Shores, AL
My wife and I have stayed in many places along Alabama's beaches; mainly condos. This is the nicest condo by far we have ever stayed in. It was very clean, very well decorated, very well taken care of and everything was in very good condition. We enjoyed having two bathrooms although there were only two of us. This made for quicker getting ready to go out. The condo has a very nice, large balcony with a spectacular view of the Gulf! We enjoyed quiet mornings on the balcony sipping coffee and enjoyable sunsets and evenings as the day drew to a close all the while listening to the relaxing surf. The beds were comfortable. The kitchen was well equipped. There's a bar for fast eating plus a full size dining table. My wife liked the sliding doors from both the den and the bedroom out onto the balcony. There' was plenty of parking while we were there. It was a quick elevator ride down to the parking lot, pool or hot tub, and easy, short boardwalk to the sugar white sand and beach below. The complex has sauna, steam room, exercise room, indoor and outdoor access to the pool and a hot tub indoors and one outdoors. Great restaurants are less than five minutes from the parking lot. It's convenient to almost everything. There were clean sheets on the bed, plenty of clean towels and wash towels, and all the kitchen appliances you need plus washer and dryer and dishwasher, stove, frig. and microwave. Cable television as well as DVD player are there for entertainment, with additional TV's in both bedrooms. There was a king bed in the master BR and twin beds in the other BR plus a pull out bed in the den sofa sleeper. So the condo easily sleeps six. There's plenty of drawer space and closets for your clothes. I highly recommend this place. We plan to come back. R Moore
