Island Royale is an upscale beachfront condominium that was built in 2002. It is located directly on the beach in the heart of Gulf Shores on West Beach Boulevard. The owners stay in this non-smoking/no pets allowed condo often so you will feel right at home. It has an oversized bubble-shaped balcony, which can be accessed from both the living area and the master bedroom. The condo has a KEYPAD entry so you do not have to keep up with keys.

The balcony has one round table, four chairs, and a lounge chair with a side table. Black-out drapes cover both sets of windows and doors. You can sleep late or open the drapes and watch the sun rise. The condo has almost 1,100 square feet with nine-foot ceilings, seven-foot doors, crown molding, granite countertops in the kitchen, and corian countertops in the bathrooms.

The condo has been completely repainted, and 20-inch porcelain tile has been installed throughout the condo. It looks brand new. This condo is not in front of an elevator so noise is not a problem.

The living area includes a sofa that opens into a queen-sized bed, a chair which matches the sofa, a Lazy Boy recliner, 40-inch flat screen TV, DVD player, and CD stereo sound system. Sit on the sofa and look at the Gulf of Mexico from this fifth-floor condo, or go on the balcony and watch the dolphins playing in the water.

The master bedroom has a king-sized bed, a large dresser, 40-inch flat screen TV and blue-ray player in an armoire, two nightstands, a private full-sized bathroom, and doors leading to the balcony with a view of the Gulf. The guest bedroom has two twin beds, a large dresser, nightstand, flat screen TV, and a connecting full-sized bathroom, which also opens to the living area. Look out the window in the guest bedroom and see the lagoon on the north side. Both bedrooms have great closet and drawer space.

The dining area has a glass top table which seats six and a granite bar which seats three. The kitchen is complete with every large and small appliance you will need: side-by-side refrigerator with ice and water in the door, microwave, dishwasher, garbage disposal, coffeepot, blender, toaster, mixer, and can opener.

A wide variety of pots, pans, dishes, glassware, and other utensils are available. The kitchen has a separate pantry with lots of shelf space and even a place to put the garbage can. Also, the condo has a separate laundry room with a full-sized washer and dryer, ironing board, and iron. All linens and towels are provided.

DIRECTIONS: From Interstate 10, take Highway 59 south. When you reach the beach, turn right on Highway 182 (West Beach Boulevard). Go approximately three-fourths of a mile, and Island Royale is on the left on the beautiful white beaches of Gulf Shores, just across the street from Ike's Beach Rental Service.

The modern yellowish-tan building has a white diamond shape on the front and an upper level parking area. You may park anywhere that is not numbered. Some of the parking is covered. Carts are available in the elevator area for an easy move in. Have a great vacation!! Once you get here, you will not want to leave, but you will want to come back again and again and again!!!

We live in Gulf Shores and personally clean our own condo unless we are out of town. We continuously deep clean on a regular basis.We stay in the condo when we can so we know what needs to done to keep everything in tip-top shape.

Perfect size for a family of 4! The condo was clean and had everything we needed!!!

This condo is beachfront/oceanfront and in prime location. The condo is exactly as it is listed and did not disappoint. The two twin beds were perfect for our kids (6&8). The beach was never overcrowded and we loved the shared pool/beach toys on the 1st level as you head out to the beach. I highly recommend this property.

Better Than I Could Have Imagined!

This was our first trip to Gulf Shores and we fell in love! This condo and its delightful owners were a huge part of that. From the moment we walked through the front door we knew we were in for a fantastic week. The view made us forget we had been driving for 850 miles and we were suddenly no longer tired and cranky! Everything was neat & tidy (and spotless) and we felt instantly at home. My daughters, ages 8 & 10, liked that they had their own beds, their own TV, and their own bathroom, but their favorite thing was getting to sit on the balcony and watch dolphins playing in the water! The kitchen had everything we needed and then some. Throughout the whole week there was not a single time we said "I wish we had. . ." The owners of this unit obviously take great care to ensure their renters have a good experience. Debra was friendly and helpful throughout the entire process. I also feel I should mention our security deposit was returned before we even made it home.

Outside the condo - we only went to the pool once and it was about average. It is in the shade for a good part of the day which was nice for the redheads in the family. The beach was beautiful! Even though there were a lot of people, everyone was respectful of each other's space and we never felt crowded or cramped. No one was loud or obnoxious. It was the best beach experience I've had by far!

The kids asked us to promise we would stay here again and that was a promise we were more than happy to make!

Everything was fine

Everything was fine until the owner came before checkout time very disrespectful towards me and my family. Place was left cleaned with some minor things left because owner decided to throw a big fat baby fit cursing at me and maying false accusations . Don't be a landlord if you stay that stressed. Me and my 5 kids will relook at the property again but with a different owner

Owner's Response: Island Royale Owners Beware First, I spent hours dealing with this renter before his actual stay because he wanted to change the VRBO credit card payment plan. He couldn't deal with VRBO because to quote him they were all "crazy." I talked to VRBO and redesigned his plan for him. Second, when I arrived to clean the condo on Saturday at check-out time, he and his family were still packing. My condo is designed to hold a maximum of SIX quests which the renter knew because he signed the rules and regulations. He and his "5 kids" totaled EIGHT people. This is why I was upset not cursing. He did not care that he had broken the rules. He said, "it happens all the time . Don't worry you got your money."

You will want to stay at this condo

My wife and I have visited the Gulf Shores and Pensacola area several times. This condo is by far the best one we have stayed in. It is everything and more than advertised. Beautiful views from the oversized, ocean front balcony. Plenty of room, very quiet and the kitchen is awesome. Newly updated throughout and the price was a great value. We only had one negative and that was that we were not able to stay longer. We will book this place on our next trip back to Gulf Shores.
