BEST VALUE ON THE BEACH! Sugar Beach Condos 163

Sugar Beach Condos are walking distance to restaurants, shopping, Gulf Shores festivals, and beach activities. We also have an onsite snack beach bar available. Sugar Beach is an economical, family-oriented Orange Beach condominium complex. One of the areas most popular vacation destinations. We have four pools, a tennis court, covered parking and a large beach!

Our family has been taking care of vacationers to Alabama’s Gulf Coast for over 25 years. Sugar Beach Condos is probably the most family-oriented complex with so many fun amenities!

This unit is Gulf Side, not Gulf Front. You do not have to cross the street to get to the beach. Although you do not have a view of the gulf from your balcony, all you have to do is walk down the hall to the elevator -- down the elevator and you are on the beach!

This Sugar Beach unit sleeps 2 adults & 2 kids. It has a Queen Bed plus a Hide-A-Bed Sofa in motel-sized room. It has a full kitchen, bathroom & private balcony. This is a great budget-friendly way to enjoy a beach vacation. We, however, do not typically recommend these units for 4 adults or families with older children simply because of the lack of privacy and space.

While the advertisements indicates "BEST VALUE ON THE BEACH" you get what you pay for, a tired dated unit that has deferred maintenance (i.e. cracked floor tiles, broken microwave, toilet bolts that are rusted out so the toilet rocks, a dishwasher that leaves the dishes dirty no matter how many times you rewash them, a rusting out a/c unit and a view of the parking ramp next door, and sparse kitchen utensils, cups, dishes, and no oven mitts or hot pads). All in all, if you just want a place to sleep, it's okay and fairly quiet.

Family holiday weekend

We had a blast over the 4th! The room was perfect for my family. Super comfy and in a great spot. Definitely recommend it!

Loved this little gem of a room for a quick getaway

Mr Don is the absolute best! He calls and checks on you while there, he is available anytime that you need him and it’s perfect location right in the middle of everything for what we were there for! Already have another trip scheduled and will plan for my third in a few short weeks! You can never go wrong with Mr Don, and the room is just an added bonus.

If you are looking for beach on a budget then this is for you. If you want a microwave that isn’t taped, floors that aren’t cracked and a general semi luxury vibe, then this is not your place. The owner was two doors down and very friendly. The sink was clogged when I arrived and he fixed it Immediately. However, the whole condo had a creepy slummish, run down vibe and I ended up using it as storage while I bunked in with my kids who had a very nice updated condo in same building. Although their condo was nice and updated, you still have to walk down dark hallways with creepy exposed pipes with insulation hanging out. I felt like I was on the bottom deck of the titanic. Only one working elevator in the whole place so I was thankful we had o my one set of stairs to climb. Summaey: I paid for a closet storage.

Perfect for a quick, beach getaway!

The condo was perfect for a last minute trip for my husband and I. As it is depicted in the photos, the condo is indeed small; however it is all you need for a beach getaway! Very easy access to the beach and incredibly close to several Orange Beach restaurants. Also, the condo has a concession stand by the pools that offers a multitude of lunch/snack/drink options and even has bags of ice for sale (so you don’t have to make several runs to the store). Mr. Don was a wonderful host and let us know he was available for us if we needed absolutely anything during our stay. He even got the condo ready a night early to help accommodate our travel time! We will definitely stay here again. (Note: would be a tight squeeze for 3 or more adults.)

Wonderful location! A few tweeks are needed with the property. Major concern is the balcony railing. Property could use a bit more attention to the overall cleanliness. Grateful for a beautiful location and value for the stay. Just need to pay a bit more attention to the safety and cleanliness of the property.

Fall Break

I stayed at Sugar Beach Condos last fall break and was really impressed. This year our condo was run down, which would’ve been fine, but the dishwasher didn’t work, the washer didn’t work, the air conditioner was so old and dirty… pretty sure it has black mold growing on it. I’ve stayed in plenty of condos and the bare necessities are provided. There were no bath towels. The room was also dirty. The ceiling fan had at least two inches of dust on it. I don’t typically complain, as long as things are clean… but I couldn’t even wash clothes or dishes which made things really difficult.

I stayed the week of September 9-September 13 at Sugar Beach Condos in Orange Beach. The condo was very clean and had everything I needed. I had a wonderful time!

July 3rd.

Nice place. Shows it's age a bit. Enough room for my wife and I with one of our daughters. Access to beach is awesome. Parking is tight - you might not want to bring your massive SUV or Truck. Pictures of the place were accurate. Host was great, always available, friendly. Called me a day ahead and said the place was open and we could check in a day early if we want. One elevator was broken, the other elevator was slow. Made for a lengthy move in process when so many others were checking in the same day.

Sugar Beach getaway

The studio was as described. The place was easy to find and it was pretty quiet at night. We were close to groceries stores and restaurants. The bed was comfortable and the place provided mostly everything we needed. However, we felt it could have used a little more cleaning, which we did upon arrival, however, we couldn’t find a broom to sweep up. Don, our host, was very personable and quick to respond to our questions. If you are looking for a place at a fair price and don’t need a lot of room, Don’s studio is a good choice.

Better than a hotel!

Good size condo for the 2 of us. Full kitchen and bath, balcony, washer/ dryer, tv. Clean. Great location. Friendly host. The area was quiet despite all the people we saw. The bed was comfortable. 4 pools and a very short walk to the beach.

Upon arrival the studio condo was clean. The beds were comfortable both full size bed and sofa bed. Very convenient to the beach and pools. Easy access to eating out places. I would recommend this place to stay. Affordable also!

Great place for a great price!

Our family had an amazing trip. 2 adults with 2 small kids, it was the perfect amount of space. The host was amazing and even called to check in on us to make sure things were going good. We will definitely be back.
