Our Sierra City Retreat is ~ 1900 square feet of cozy living space. With 2 separate living areas, and room to sleep ten, there is space for everyone. Our cabin is located on a quiet street in a wooded park like setting. You are walking distance to town, the Pacific Crest Trail and the river. Its central location and higher elevation make it a popular rental year round
Sierra City lies along the North Yuba River at about 4,500 feet in the shadow of the 9,000 foot Sierra Buttes. It's proximity to the Lakes Basin (45 alpine lakes within 15 miles) and Yuba Pass (7,250 feet) make it a favorite for outdoor enthusiasts wanting to get away. Fishing, hiking, swimming and mountain biking (~12 miles from infamous “Downieville Downhill”) are all very popular in the summer as well as cross country skiing, snowshoeing and snowmobiling in the winter. The nearest alpine skiing is located in Truckee ~ 46 miles from our cabin.
