  • Homey Comfort

"We really enjoyed our recent stay in Birgitta's home. The beds were comfortable, the living space very warm and relaxing, and the porches and view of the lake are wonderful. The house also has a wealth of cooking supplies that were very much appreciated. There are a couple areas the house is starting to show its age. As well, the dishes, silver wear, and plates were in need of a clean when we arrived. Birgitta was very easy to work with and she was very helpful with providing a high chair and a portable crib...that made traveling with our 9 month old a little easier. All in all we really enjoyed our stay and would be very happy to return here on a future trip."

  • Great place for our family reunion

"It's one thing to pick a home from the VRBO website that you hope will work out (without actually seeing it in person), but it's another thing to actually see it for the first time and realize you made a good choice. This was a very special trip for us, as our grown children & their families were all coming to Lake Tahoe for a very special reunion. This house lived up to all of the pictures , and to our expectations. The fact that each bedroom has its own FULL bath was amazing! The bathrooms are well stocked, and we had everything we needed regarding cooking utensils, pots, dinnerware, etc., that we needed. The views of the lake from the kitchen and the deck are gorgeous! Unfortunately, we learned with our first dinner outside, that bees arrived if there was any food out there, so we had to eat the rest of our meals inside. But of course, this was not the owners fault, it apparently has been a huge problem EVERYWHERE in Tahoe, for whatever reason. The kids LOVED the downstairs game room, and the adults loved it even more, as we couldn't hear them playing loudly. (They loved the air hockey!). We spent a day on the private beach, which was very clean and offered lots of lounge chairs to sit on. All in all, this home is beautiful and we would definitely stay there again!"

  • Clean and roomy

"It's by the lake, but no beach close by. Too steep of stairs for most of us, as we're over 63 and have knee and hip issues. It was a very warm each day we were there, but there were lots of fans and it cooled off some what at night. The three bathrooms were very clean, but needed towel bars or hooks... not enough towels or washcloths either, but there was a washer and dryer, if you don't mind washing every day for clean ones? The kitchen was small, but very functional, and I mentioned to the management that one dishtowel was not sufficient... again had to wash it! Loved the balcony and there were two sliding doors to keep the air flowing. The 4 bedrooms were very good, I loved my bed in the bed and bath combo. The only thing I would change is two of the bedrooms had bunk beds, not sufficient for climbing at our ages, so make one of the bedrooms two twins? All seven of us said we would stay there again if it wasn't two story!"
