    "We just got back from our weekend in the snow and this house was perfect. Plenty of room, lots of towels, and cozy flannel sheets! The location is great -very close to Grand Liebakken, easy quick drive to Tahoe City, 10 mins to Homewood, and Alpine Meadows and Squaw valley are just 15-20 mins away. Owners were responsive and easy to work with. One note: if there's a lot of snow, you'll need chains to get through the neighborhood up to the house. We didn't need chains all weekend except in the neighborhood!"

  • A great location and a beautiful home

    "Our cousin reunion was a success because of the location and enjoyment of this home. It was well supplied with all the necessary items we needed and when we requested some extra towels they came promptly the next morning. The kitchen was well equipped, I would recommend this home to anyone who is looking for a rental at Lake Tahoe."

  • Good location, Good for 7-8 people, Great kitchen

    "I highly recommend the Blue Granite Lodge. At the same time, I think there are some simple changes the owner could make that would move this property into the highest category. There were no written instructions in the unit including no information about how to contact owner. It took me about 24 hours to finally find information from past correspondence with Mr. Squires' phone number. The dial for the washing machine had broken off. It would have been helpful if the owner had put a note on the machine explaining how to start it. Even using the instructions I received after emailing the owner, there was no way to determine how long or which cycle was operating. It would have been even better if there was a working dial on the machine. Adding a door for the master bedroom upstairs would block out noise from the TV. We were unable to sleep until the TV was turned off downstairs. There were no instructions on how to turn on the ceiling fan in the upstairs master bedroom. It was a bit too warm even in the summer without the fan. I had looked forward to enjoying the cool night temperatures. I texted the owner who said it was one of the electrical switches in the master bedroom (there were 10). In addition, a remote control was needed to activate the fan. I never found the remote control. And finally, plan to get up early on the day you check out. You are required to wash and dry all towels which is a big order when 7 people are taking showers in the morning. The dishes were to be washed and the counter tops wiped off. All the trash was to be carried down a flight of stairs to the trash cans by the garages. This does not sound like much; however, it is a lot to do while getting packed, taking showers, and fixing breakfast for 7 people with a 10:00 AM checkout. In addition, a cleaning fee was paid. I have never stayed in a property where so much was required for clean up, especially a larger property accommodating 7 people. I do not want to sound negative because this is a very nice property. Again, I feel the owner could move it up a notch by taking care of a few simple details."

  • Summertime Fun

    "This place had a great cozy layout and perfect for the three of us. The amenities on property and dock access were a bonus. It's close to town and other sites. The best part of the condo was the beds. We have stayed in placed like this in the past and the beds were old. The best sleep in a long time for our family. We would come back next year for sure."
