  • Fantastic, comfortable and relaxing!

"What a fantastic Tahoe getaway! In the heart of Granlibakken resort, this condo is ideally situated for skiing at nearby Squaw/Alpine (as we did) and Homewood. The owners have clearly put a lot of effort into remodeling with high quality finishes and we particularly appreciated the well equipped kitchen, and the comfortable beds (including even the sofa-bed). Heating is super-efficient and we stayed warm even with thermostats set to 65F. Still it was lovely to have an open fire which was well stocked with fire logs. While we cooked in most of the time, we did go out to Tahoe City one evening which is just a couple of minutes away and has a great selection of good restaurants and cafes. Loved walking around the resort too in the snow - there's lots of open area around for long scenic walks - and a hot tub & sauna to relax in after all the exercise. Luxury!"

  • Beautiful place 15 minutes from Alpine Meadows and 20 min from squaw Valley

"The house is real cozy, and has the bedrooms well separated from each other. The kitchen's a little small if your going to cook a lot, but big enough to get whatever you need done. Really, everything about the property was great. Tahoe City is also a great town to stay in. It's got some fancy restaurants with great food and a couple of good sports bars with a great crowd. You can get fantastic prime rib at Rosie's, a great gourmet burger at Sunnyside, and still get $4 coors light and play pool at Pete & Pete's. I know there's a lot of great places that we didn't stumble across. Skiing was great, even if the conditions weren't perfect. Had 1 day with powder just after Christmas, and then it absolutely dumped snow the day we packed up to leave. Squaw had lots of cool terrain, especially on the back side around Solitude and up in the bowls. The less aggressive terrain had good snow and was wide enough that you could keep pretty good speed on it without getting crowded by slower skiers. When Squaw got busy, Alpine meadows was a great spot. There was maybe half as many people on the slopes, and he terrain was still a lot of fun (even if there wasn't as much of it). Anyway, had a great time. The house was great. The nightlife was great. Hauserman Rentals is an A+ operation- we had no issues, and they answered the phone when I asked how to light the fireplace on Christmas Eve (the instructions were also in the paperwork the left on the table for us)."

  • Quaint Cabin Near to the Lake with beautiful yard

"We had a wonderful time at this quaint cabin. The outdoor space in the summer is really nicely landscaped and great for kids running around and playing in the yard. The proximity to the lake, HOA beach park, and all of the restaurants on the west shore is fantastic. The bedrooms are tight, but super cozy and well decorated. Great for 2 couples or a family of 4. There is also room in the living room where I imagine you could also sleep if needed. We had a wonderful time and would definitely return! The only thing I might mention (similar to another reviewer) is that there are some dogs off leash in the neighborhood who sometimes come by to say hello which might not be for everyone. It didn't bother us though."
