Luxury Home on Pristine Beach

Belle Mer Cottage is private home located on the most beautiful beach on Great Exuma Island. It sits along 2 miles of white sandy beach with views of the protected barrier islands and sailboats gliding into Elizabeth Harbour in Georgetown. Belle Mer is the perfect home to host a romantic retreat or a special family reunion.

Enjoy the gracious open living space with views of the turquoise crystal clear water from every room. The main house with 3000 square feet of living space has large tile floors in all the rooms. It has four king bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms. There is a fifth suite over the garage also with its own bathroom. There is also a powder room on the main floor for convenience. The home has comfortable soft seating and colorful local art.

The two ground floor master bedrooms, with cove wood ceilings, flat screen smart televisions, and recessed lighting with dimmers, have king size beds with Tempur-Pedic mattress toppers and large sliding doors with screens that open onto the veranda with breathtaking views of the beach. Each bathroom has dual sinks, large shower and separate toilet room. The upstairs ocean view master bedroom is tastefully decorated with a king size bed, smart flat screen television, and child size daybed. It has a large marble tile bathroom with double sinks and a huge shower with rain head. The upstairs king bedroom has a king size bed with en-suite bathroom boasting double sinks and a shower/tub combination. Like the other master suites, it has a smart flat screen television to watch all your favorite movie channels like Netflix, Amazon Prime, etc. The fifth bedroom is above the detached double garage, steps from the front door. It has its own bathroom with shower, 2 twin size beds, a flat screen television and VCR. It is the perfect getaway for kids or a couple of adults who are young-at heart! The house has ceiling fans in every room and central air-conditioning when the island breezes are not cool enough. Please note that although the home has bedding for more, we allow a maximum of 10 people at any one time. The additional bedding simply provides more options to meet the sleeping configuration needs of the group.

The large modern kitchen features slab granite countertops, stainless steel appliances with two full size refrigerator/freezers, wine cooler, microwave, dishwasher, drip coffee maker, and new glass cooktop/oven. It is fully equipped for you to prepare and enjoy a snack or a gourmet dinner. A full size washer and dryer are within easy reach off the kitchen. The great room features a ceiling fan and giant windows to capture the sweeping ocean view. The entertainment console has a 58 inch smart HD television capable of accessing your own internet-based accounts (e.g., Netflix and Amazon Prime), Blu-ray, Nintendo Wii, iPod docking station, and WiFi. For old fashion fun we have plenty of board games, puzzles, playing cards, and books to read. Bring additional Wii games or Blu-Ray/DVDs to have even more fun in the evening. The large round wood dining table seats 8 or sit on the 4 bar stools around the kitchen island to enjoy your home cooked meals. We can also refer you to a local Bahamian chef who will prepare a great Bahamian meal right in Belle Mer's kitchen. Although we have never experienced crime on the island, there is a safe provided for peace of mind.

Belle Mer features an outstanding outdoor living space with 700 square feet of covered wrap around veranda and soft outdoor living room seating. A gas grill and large dining table are great for entertaining. Right on the beach, It is the perfect place to watch the billions of stars in the evening sky, listen to the lapping waves on the beach and watch the moon's rising reflection on Belle Mer (beautiful sea).

This beautiful vacation homes offers all the amenities needed for a truly memorable experience. If not relaxing or strolling on the white sandy beach Belle Mer is also equipped with snorkel gear, 2 double sit-on-top sea kayaks, 2 paddle boards, 2 sets of golf clubs, rafts for floating, and children's water toys. All of these are complimentary during your stay. After enjoying the ocean we even have an outside shower next to the veranda. If you need to stay connected during your vacation, you can enjoy our new fiber optic cable high speed internet, phone, and television. We also have a generator to ensure continuous power even during rare island outages.

Also consider renting a Boston Whaler in Georgetown to explore Elizabeth harbor, hire a Bonefish guide, take a water taxi to Stocking Island or charter a boat and captain to visit other surrounding Cays. The home is cleaned to spotless before arrival. Guests staying 10 nights or longer receive a complimentary mid-stay cleaning.

The Sandals Resort (formerly Four Seasons), Greg Norman golf course and Marina can be reached in approximately 20 minutes by taxi or car. A number of grocery stores in Georgetown about 10 minutes away stock all the items you will need for your vacation, but also try the wonderful local restaurants.
