Welcome to our home-away-from-home at Seal Rock, located just a three minute walk from one of the most beautiful beaches on the Oregon Coast! Four miles of clean sandy beach extend beyond exquisite tide pools and large rocks, fabulous beach combing and shore birds, easily accessible for children and seniors. It's a painter's paradise!

Our quiet, secluded one-level home is surrounded by large trees providing a balmy, park-like setting, a great place to play or relax on days when winds pick up on the beach.

Three bedrooms include a master with a queen bed plus a twin, a second queen bedroom and a bunk room, as well as a comfortable pull-out couch in the living room. Our open floor plan with large, well-equipped kitchen makes it perfect for families and groups.

Located five minutes from Waldport, with excellent crabbing in Alsea Bay, supermarket, video store, gourmet coffees and restaurants. Within the area you'll find the Oregon Sea Lion Caves, horse-back riding on the beach, surfing, Oregon Sand Dunes, and old-growth forest hikes in the Drift Creek Wilderness Area, and in numerous state parks and beaches. Inland offers beautiful Willamette Valley and Oregon wine touring.

Twelve miles north is Newport, home of the famous Oregon Coast Aquarium, historic lighthouses and picturesque harbor. Charter a fishing boat or take a whale-watching cruise. Take in a show at the Newport Performing Arts Center. Enjoy the tasting room at the Rogue Brewery, or splendid oceanfront dining, galleries and shops on the Historic Bayfront and Nye Beach area.

The Cabin was better than expected.

  • 4 of 5

The cabin was clean, and larger than I expected. The only 2 draw backs were, the one bed was very hard, and hurt my hips by morning. One pillow was very badly stained when we took the cover off. There were plenty of towels, and the yard was great. The beach was beautiful, but we had a couple of breezy days, so my daughter who was used to more tropical beaches froze.

That was Mother Nature and not the Cabin. The DVR remote batteries were corroded so we removed them and left a note to that effect.

Truly Wonderful!

  • 5 of 5

Our stay at Ravenscreek was delightful! The cottage is VERY clean, and offered all the essentials. The property is gorgeous and the secluded beach is only a "hop, skip and a jump" away! We are already planning another trip to this wonderful oasis.

All the amenities

  • 4 of 5

We had a great time at the charming Ravenscreek cabin. It had everything - games, all the pots and pans and kitchen items, baggies, extra towels, blankets, etc. you'd ever need, making our stay incredibly comfortable. Although it was pretty musty smelling, as I'm sure many homes on the coast are, it was incredibly clean. The location was excellent, just down from the Seal Rock State Park, which we visited each day. The beauty of the coast in this particular area really is amazing, and for that reason, coupled with the this great cabin, we'd definitely come back again!

Owner's Response: Thank you for your review. Indeed, mustiness is a fact of life at the Oregon Coast! You can smell it as soon as you open the car door, a feature of all the wooded areas of the coast. That, along with the smell of the coastal fishing towns and beaches is part of the experience I look forward to taking in whenever I can. Built in the 70's, we do keep our cabin incredibly clean and are happy to have shared our place with you. Come on back! ... Annie

Magic

  • 5 of 5

This is by far my favorite place on the Oregon Coast. I have returned to this house, and beach every year for over twenty years. The puzzle and game selection at the house is extensive, and on point. The short walk to the beach is easy, and provides that much more seclusion from the neighboring homes and highway. The beach itself is a rare gem. You may very well have the whole coastline to yourself, at least for a couple of miles. At high tide, you will get up close and personal with the roaring Pacific. At low tide, you can visit a hundred tide pools, both large and small, teeming with mysterious marine life forms. This place is magic. Pure and simple. I hope you enjoy your stay as much as I have enjoyed all of mine.

very clean and well stocked

  • 5 of 5

We enjoyed our stay and were impressed by how clean the house was. The kitchen and bathroom were well stocked with everything we might need in paper products and spices, ect.

The yard was well taken care of and some beautiful flowers and plants.
