Nestled just a 3-minute drive from the renowned Purgatory Resort and 25 minutes from Downtown Durango, you'll be perfectly positioned to explore the area's natural wonders. The home is situated on 4 beautiful acres and backs up to the stunning San Juan National Park.

Unwind in the bubbling hot tub, connect with loved ones over the free WiFi, or cozy up by the fireplace for a movie night on the smart TV. The fully stocked kitchen, complete with a grill, dishwasher, and coffee maker, makes meal preparation a breeze. Enjoy your culinary creations at the dining table, or step outside to the balcony and fire pit for alfresco dining under the stars.

When it's time to play, the game room with a foosball and ping pong table, along with the selection of books and games, will keep the whole family entertained. Enjoy a walk or hike around the home or relax on the outdoor furniture, surrounded by the stunning mountain views.

With 4 bathrooms, a washing machine and dryer, and all the essential amenities, including a travel crib, you'll have everything you need for a carefree and comfortable stay. Immerse yourself in the beauty of Durango and create lasting memories in our exceptional vacation home.

Bed Configuration: Master-King, 2nd Bed-King, 3rd Bed-Queen, 4th Bed-Queen Murphy bed and set of twin bunk beds, 5th bed is located in the den (pull out ottoman with twin foam bed)

Getting Around:
4WD/AWD IS REQUIRED DURING THE WINTER. Best if you have winter tires and chains for difficutly weather situations. If your vehicle is not able to make it to the home, it will not be homeowners responsibility. The roads can be icy and difficult to maneuver when snow/ice is present. Any vehicles needing towing or rescue will be at the renters expense. Parking is available at the bottom of the hill by the mailboxes if unable to make it to the home.

This house is not only beautiful and has abundant extras, the hostess went above and beyond to check on us and to timely and effectively respond to our questions or requests. The house was absolutely beautiful, huge,cozy, and plenty of space for everyone and everything. Kitchen came with everything you would ever need to cook with, huge island for prep and gathering. Kids had absolute blast with the foosball and ping pong. Very close proximity to the slopes, local store and bar/ restaurants. The owner was very quick to check on us and responded if there was anything we needed. Will be staying here again. THE BEST!!!!!

Our favorite place in Durango so far

This house was great! We had multiple families and everyone loved it. The layout is nice and open, everyone could visit in the kitchen, living room, patio and always had plenty of space. The kitchen was more than fully stocked with utensils, cook ware, grill, Keurig, anything and everything you could want. All beds were very comfortable, hot tub was hot, and plenty of wood for the fireplace. 5 stars all around!

Fantastic Hime

This was the second time my family has stayed in this home and it was as incredible as the first time, if not better. You will be hard-pressed to find a more well-appointed home anywhere on the planet. Comfortable beds, lots of room, literally any kitchen item you would ever need in the kitchen and only a mile or so from Purgatory…all the while secluded under some amazing cliffs and tucked away in a magical aspen grove. Doesn’t get much better!

Perfect ski weekend!

We loved our stay at this beautiful home! Believe me when I say they’ve thought of everything. The home is well appointed, beautifully decorated, and comfortable for 2 families with kids (we were 4 adults, 3 children). The skiers in our group appreciated the short trip to Purgatory (7 minute drive), and the non-skiers enjoyed the views from the deck, hot tub, and gourmet kitchen. This is a special house, and we’ll be back!

Durango dream cabin!

This property is amazing! We spend a lot of time in the Durango/Silverton/Ouray area, and decided to stay here for a week long trip. The location is awesome, really quiet neighborhood, 30 mins to Durango, 30-ish to Silverton, and super close to Purgatory Ski Area. The property is nicely decorated and feels very cosy. The kitchen was exceptional, lots of space, high-end appliances, and open plan connected to dining room/living room. We also liked that it has a separate TV room that you can close off from the living room! Overall, this is a dream cabin in Durango!! Enjoy!

Absolutely Beautiful Cabin and Location

Wow this cabin was amazing! I’ve stayed at a lot of high end VRBO’s and this one was by far the best. It is stocked with everything you can imagine. We usually bring our own cooking items like griddle, crockpot etc. but this cabin has everything you could imagine. The property is surrounded by aspen trees and is in a quiet super nice neighborhood. We spent our 11 days here mountain biking at Purgatory, RZR riding trails in Silverton and Ouray as well as a nice ride above Purgatory, horseback riding and just relaxing at the cabin. Everything is close and convenient. Definitely want to come stay here again!

Magestic Views for a family Vacay

Wes and Michelle are wonderful hosts. Their home is a beautiful place to spend with the family. Everything you need to feel comfortable and at home is available for you to use while at the property. Every part of the rental process from confirmation, to check in, and to check out was smooth. I would highly recommend this rental to anyone, and I look forward to visiting again myself...hopefully sooner than later!

Mountain luxury

Our three generational family of 10 gets together annually coming from Michigan and Colorado. We stayed six wonderful days and it's important for us to have a home gathering place. Everyone of us loved this exceptional spacious home and we found we looked forward to coming home each day from hiking, mountain biking, fishing, touring Mesa Verde etc. Michelle has everything in her kitchen to satisfy every chef and we ate out only once and made great meals each night. We found Michelle to be very responsive through out the whole process and initiated calls to be sure we were taken care of. She indicated that's was their home away from home and it showed. There were several extra areas where smaller groups congregated: the family room with giant TV and sound system, hot tub, a special fire pit on the deck just outside the master bedroom, the pingpong and foosball area. This home makes you feel very comfortable yet has so many extra top of the line amenities that we discovered each day. If you are fortunate to rent this home you won't regret it.

Beautiful house. Great location to purgatory

The house was beautiful. You couldn’t of asked for anything more in the kitchen. Love the fire pit outside and the hot tub. Location very close to Purgatory Mountain and not too far from downtown. About 20 to 25 minutes to downtown. The only issue we had was their TV set up. We were never able to really watch it. I would definitely recommend this location and home. The owners were very responsive and pleasant.

Wonderful Home!

We were three adult couples and all of us loved this home. It was large and spacious with great areas to hang out. The kitchen was huge and well stocked and great to cook in. We hope that you will enjoy our home and find peace and tranquility during your stay. There is something for everyone. We are 2 miles from Purgatory resort for amazing skiing in the winter and fun mountain biking and hiking trails in the summertime.
You will enjoy sitting on our deck with a great book and listening to the swaying of the the pine trees, or watching fresh snow fall.

Why they chose this property

Looking for a fun-filled exciting vacation or a peaceful, and relaxing retreat…this is the home. Situated adjacent to the San Juan National Forest there are many hiking trails for all levels of experience. It is surrounded by some of the most amazing mountain peaks: Twilight, Needles, and Castle Rock are just a few. There are many bodies of water for those that love to go fishing. We are located only 30miles from the Historical Silverton Mining Town and only 25 minutes from Downtown Durango.
