About Victoria Schilling
We are a young family of four living in paradise.. I am a transplant to Montana from Sydney, Australia via London and New York. Despite having grown up in a large coastal city in Australia, and worked most of my career in the corporate world in big cities, life in the country was the dream - a place to breathe fresh air, take things a little more slowly, appreciate nature, enjoy quality of life and raise a family. My husband is a local - he grew up here, was educated here, runs a business here and his family all still live here. It was an easy decision for us to start our family life here together and create a home for our two wonderful children. We love and appreciate where we live and hope to be able to share it with you someday. Victoria Schilling

Why Victoria Schilling chose Livingston
We knew this was the place for our family when we found it - properties like this in the Shields Valley of this size, with private river frontage and still close to Livingston, are hard to come by. The Shields Valley is a magical place. Picturesque, undeveloped, with the river, the mountains, the wildlife and birdlife, the warm glow of the rising sun on the Crazy Mountains, clear twinkling night skies - it is hard not to feel privileged to live somewhere so special. Being right on the Shields River we enjoy all it has to offer including swimming, tubing and fishing in summer, and in winter we are able to ice-skate on our own frozen pond and cross-country ski through the wonderful walking trails through our woods. Also for us the convenience of living in the country, just 10 minutes from the historic town of Livingston, is the perfect balance.
What makes this House unique
The guest house is the original ranch house on the property, all on one level it is ideally laid out with the master bedroom and en-suite at one end of the house, the second bathroom and two bedrooms along a hallway at the other end, and the kitchen and open dining area and living room in the middle. It is set up as we would like it set up for ourselves, our family and friends, so there are a lot more of the little extras and conveniences that make it even more like a home away from home. Right on the Shields River, fishing access doesn't get much better. River access also provides ample swimming and tubing opportunities. With stunning views of the Crazy Mountains and surrounded by a huge expanse of lawn, it is ideal for outdoor relaxing and games. There are private woods, walking trails and a riverside path to stretch your legs and explore. The property has all the benefits of a country hideaway, yet is barely 10 minutes' drive to the historic town of Livingston with all its amenities, services, outfitters, shopping, restaurants, bars, coffee shops, museums and galleries; 40 minutes to the larger town of Bozeman and Bozeman Yellowstone International airport (BZN); barely an hour's drive to Yellowstone National Park; and less than an hour to the nearest ski field.
