Perfect family villa: Close to beaches + pool

Once you walk out onto the expansive deck, you can't help but say "Wow!" when you first see the unreal views. Pressure Drop is ideal for families with two or three children or a couple, offering both privacy and common areas to relax and unwind together.

Stay in a rare central location, perched high above Coral Bay on Ajax Peak. Drive to the North Shore beaches in just 5 minutes. Grab dinner at one of several new (or classic) dining options in Coral Bay, about five minutes away.

Pressure Drop Villa is a traditional West Indies style villa, comprised of two buildings (pods) and a beautiful pool and large deck connecting the two pods.

- Updated great room with comfortable furniture
- Full AC in both the main pod and bedrooms
- Three stage water filtration system with UV filter creates safe/tasty drinking water

- Extremely large outdoor living area for St. John, including pool, dining table, comfortable outdoor lounge chairs, and even a dartboard

- Early birds will enjoy sunrises, reverse sunsets are a great time to relax in a lounger with a cocktail by the pool
- Complimentary private yoga session on the deck: I am a ERYT 200hr yoga teacher and teach on-island @ Love City Yoga. A private yoga session on the deck is included with a full week stay, assuming we can coordinate a time when we are all available.

House was above average clean, fully stocked & super comfortable! Jean was exceptional and helped us more than I could ever have imagined (from local things, an SD card hunt and more). We had four kids with us 14, 8, 8 and 6 - no issues at all and all comfortably slept in the second room. Without a doubt we will be back!

Anniversary Getaway

Jean was a great host. She was welcoming upon our arrival and took us through the home to show us all the features and provide tips for our stay. There was great communication before the booking, after we booked and during our stay. The kitchen, bedrooms, and bathrooms have everything you need for your stay. Jean has chairs and coolers for beach days. From the deck, the views of Coral Bay/surrounding areas are the best part. They are calming and relaxing. You can get lost in your thoughts while looking out. Open the glass sliding doors to enjoy the cool breeze throughout the spaces. A/C was only used at night in the bedroom. As mentioned in other reviews, a jeep is recommended when navigating the driveway and the island in general. You are close to the north side beaches and ruins. The north side beaches are popular, so we found it best to get there early or late to miss the crowds and get a good spot. Little Lameshur beach is a hidden gem-calm waters and only a handful of other people. You do need a jeep to navigate the dirt road to it. Hiking on some trails can be strenuous but the end views are amazing. Bring water and snacks. Starfish Market in Cruz Bay is a great choice for a wide range of groceries if you plan on cooking at the house. Love City Market is close by for groceries, if needed. Overall, our stay was great and did not disappoint. We could have used a few more days to get in more activities.

We have been visiting St. John for nearly 20 years and I still remember my first visit when I fell in love with the island. Ever since it has been a dream to purchase a home here. We fell in love with Pressure Drop as soon as we walked onto the deck and saw that view! It is an amazing home and we are so excited to share it with you. The name "Pressure Drop" comes from a song by Toots & the Maytals. I had always wanted to see Toots play on New Year's Eve at Foxy's on Jost van Dyke. Unfortunately I waited too long, and Toots passed away in 2020, which further motivated us not to wait until the "right time" and take a leap of faith and purchase this villa. We hope you enjoy it as much as we do.

I teach yoga on island and one benefit of renting Pressure Drop is a complimentary private yoga session on the deck of Pressure Drop is included in you stay for seven nights, pending availability.
