RELAX AT THE LAKE! Awesome family home to bring your family/friends for a relaxing vacation! Great place for a family reunion, large home, open floor plan (additional home next door). Large yard to play football, volleyball, horseshoes, as well as jumping off the dock to swim, fish and tan. Run away from the everyday bustle of life and enjoy your family and friends, bring a good book, or borrow one from the house. Park your boat or jet skis at the dock. Visit the neighboring islands where you can dock and play!

We have enjoyed many fun summers here with a lot of friends and family. Each bedroom has a King size bed with a TV and enough room for a queen size air mattress on the floor, or room for a crib. The living rooms are large, one has a couch with a sleeper queen, and couches upstairs can also sleep two. Plenty of floor space too!

Why Gordean O'Connor chose Bumpass

My husband and I always loved Lake Anna, we searched for years for the perfect property. We fell in love with the land and built our first house. Sitting on the deck at night, you feel like you are in another world, the stars are so bright and beautiful! We built the house to accommodate our large family. We have six in our own, and have at least 3 other families who joined us down there regularly.

What makes this house unique

If you are looking for a vacation to relax, this is the spot! No phones or doorbells ringing, no cars honking, just quiet! Sit on the deck and enjoy the sunset and listen to the frogs, and fish jumping. Watch the kids from the deck as they fish. The walk to the lake is right outside your door, on a flat surface.

Famly Reunion

  • 5 of 5

We had a great time at this house! We had 20 people in our party and there was plenty of room. The marina in front of the house was very quiet and everyone enjoyed swimming in front of the house. The lake is loaded with fish we caught stripppers out on the main lake and some crappie in front of the house. The ladies enjoyed going to the vineyards in the area. The house location made it easy for us to go to Busch Gardens,Monticello , bike riding in the mountains and Washington DC . The owner was very easy talk too and was very helpfull!

If you have a large group you will be happy renting this house.

Excellent Memorial Day weekend stay

  • 5 of 5

My wife, I, and 4 other couples stayed down there for Memorial Day weekend, and couldn't have been happier. It's a great place for a big group, with tons of large beds, couches, and a great covered porch to hang out on (plus a brand new grill when we went out there). The property is right on the water and has a giant yard, which was great to use, and it was easy to be able to rent a boat right from them, so we could just walk down to the the dock and get going. It's a pontoon boat, though, so if you want to do water skiing and wakeboarding, you'd need to rent a boat elsewhere. It's also got a huge kitchen and living room area, again great for having a big group.

We were a group of 30 year olds, but it would've been great when we were younger or a little older with kids too. We'd definitely stay there again!

Awesome place for multiple families - owners are wonderful!

  • 5 of 5

Our group was multi-generational. The house is enormous and easily accommodated our group (we had up to 13 there the first weekend). Here are the highlights:

- Huge kitchen that is easy to work in while others still use it. Breakfast bar seats 6!

- Main living area features a SUPER comfortable leather couch that became nap central.

- Gigantic second floor deck was a wonderful hangout place and is protected from rain.

- There are FIVE comfy king-size beds in this house - awesome - and the bedrooms are roomy.

- Lake access is good because of the gentle slope to the water. There are tons of Adirondack chairs and loungers and plenty of space to set them up.

- It was SO QUIET on our cove.

- We enjoyed the size of the yard for CanJam and other games and took advantage of the fire pit, spending hours there.

The owners are fabulous people and treated us like family. It was clear that Gordean and Frank truly wanted us to have a good time. They offered extras we didn't even expect.

We lucked out with the most gorgeous weather possible. The house is situated in front of multiple boat slips, so the water view was not ideal; however, this did not diminish from our experience of the lake. The sheer size and comfort of this home and property made us super happy we found it!

Relaxing getaway!!

  • 5 of 5

We stayed at this property for a weekend with our neighbors (6 families). Beautifully decorated home which is evident from the way it is decorated and maintained. The house had enough rooms for each family which made the stay much more comfortable. The rooms are spacious and the deck is huge!!! We spent most of our time on the deck. The owners very polite, friendly and extremely helpful! We saw and reported a minor issue with one of the bathroom shower head which was replaced promptly. They had a boat that we could rent right off the house. Highly recommended place! Will definitely be renting again. Thank you for a great experience!!!

Great place to spend a get away weekend

  • 5 of 5

We were a group of 17 young adults staying at the house during Memorial Day weekend. It was amazing! The owners were staying next door, and although we were a little worried that they might complain about noise during the night, they actually stayed up as long as we did and were rather grateful that we were fitting right in. They had a big family gathering at the same time, and several of them helped us out with carrying over (free!) wood for fire from their house to ours, and repairing the dish washer immediately. They were all super friendly and it we had great times talking to them.

The house itself is very big. It has enough beds for 14 people, and there are some additional pullout couches, so we didn't have an issue with 17. The house also has a beautiful outside terrace with many comfortable chairs, tables and a BBQ, which we used throughout the days and nights. Right below the terrace is a large almost flat field that leads straight to the water. It is perfect to play sports and to jump right into the water afterwards. The owners also asked us to feel like home and to use the field in front of their house as well if we wanted (there is no fence, so the entire area is huge). We played a lot of football and Bocce, as well as table tennis which is provided in the house. There is also an option to connect an X-Box, so the never growing up men with us were very happy, too. We had a fantastic time just playing around all day, or relaxing near the water, in the water or on the terrace.

The fires during the nights, singing and playing guitar around it and eating marshmallows, and a half day long boat trip on the second day (we rented their boat, which fits 15 people easily, probably more) made the weekend perfect.

We are very happy to have found this house and will definitely try to come back soon! We highly recommend this place!
