For 20 years we have enjoyed our annual beach vacation at 5100 Seashore in Newport Beach. It is a wonderful location and a fabulous property for large families. The house will hold 8 people and has a new, larger front deck and a very roomy back deck. The house has had several "mini" remodels during the last 20 years, but the one this year was a major remodel. We have always loved staying at this house, but now it feels like it's brand new. The owners have done a great job updating everything. The solid surface kitchen and bath counters are gorgeous and the appliances and cabinets are new. You will love sitting on the front deck, watching the surfers out on the waves or the skateboarders/bicyclers go by. This beautiful property is one of the best bargains on the beach!
Our family has been coming to the 5100 house for 18 years, this year with the renovations, we hardly recognized the place! We have always loved it, can't beat the location, away from the craziness of the peninsula and pier traffic but close enough to the restaurants etc if you want to go there. Walk out on the balcony and you can watch the surfers in the morning with your coffee, or in the afternoon with a glass of wine.. our kids grew up there, bringing there friends that now consider 51st street the place to go. The house was super clean and decorated great, beds amazing, the renovations perfect. I miss the feeling of our goofy beach house and have a feeling we won't be able to afford it next year with all the renovations, but some of the improvements, like the bike rack, priceless! You can't be in Newport without your bike, rental place is super close tho, if you don't want to bring yours! I highly recommend 5100 and for your family, girls week, whatever.
For the past 6 years, my girlfriends & I have stayed at what we now affectionately call "The Beach House" at 5100 Seashore Drive. It's become the perfect place for a girls getaway from our busy lives. This home is spacious, comfortable, well maintained, clean and always well stocked with towels, kitchen necessities, etc. Hours are spent on the back patio with a clear cut view of the ocean only steps away. We've seen dolphins many, many times. The grill is perfect for cooking meals. Our mornings usually begin with a walk along the ocean, and sometimes to the grocery store which is not too far away. I would highly recommend this lovely property. You can tell it's a special place to the owners, and it shows. Movies, board games, cozy blankets ... I imagine they've spent a lot of family time here as well. There's a feeling of warmth you get the second you walk in the door. I look forward to going every year. In fact, we often go twice a year ...we love it that much!
My family and I have been coming to this beach house for our summer vacation for many years now, and we can't say enough great things about it. Our top reasons for loving this place: location, comfort and amenities. If you've ever stayed in Newport Beach, you'll know that the Balboa Peninsula gets beyond crowded (making just a trip to the supermarket a pain). This place is located in "West Newport," right off PCH, and is within walking distance of a few good restaurants, a bike rental shop, deli and quick-mart, and it is only a few blocks away from Pavilions and other great shops. You won't have to worry about parking because the rental comes with 2 covered parking spots, and I've found that it is possible to park a 3rd vehicle parallel to the other 2. The home is just a few steps from the beach and some awesome surf spots. The balcony has a BBQ, room for dining/laying out, and a view of the ocean. Our stay is always very enjoyable and easy because the place has all of the comforts of home (Wi-Fi, cable, HD TV, etc) and it's not so posh that I feel like I have to be uber careful. This is definitely a place where you can let your hair down, relax and have fun at the beach. Our family and friends have made some great memories at this place. I'm sure you will too.
