It was fun! My Aunt and I just needed a place to stay near Shelby that was in a country setting. It was perfect for our purposes. We enjoyed the front porch and the.view of the golf course, enjoyed being at the base of Crowder Mountain State Park; but it was 97 degrees outside and very humid. Host was excellent and very accommodating

This adorable little house is located perfectly!View of the golf course and mountain, large yard, private back deck and waterfall next door. Hummingbirds and fireflies were a joy to see!Rural feel but very convenient to necessities (minutes to the grocery store) and close to attractions (6minute to Crowders Mountain State Park Visitor Center).Host very responsive to all messages.Literally the only thing missing was a blender for my morning smoothies :)

Thank you Daena! You left the house so neat, I could hardly tell your family had been there a week. I wish you had messaged me. There is a blender there, probably got pushed back into a cabinet corner. The cabinets in those old mill houses have deep corners.

The Host's was always there for any questions you may have about dining . The main thing to us it was very clean. Great restaurants within 15 minutes from the house!!!! I would highly recommend to stay here!!!

Great place to enjoy the outdoors!

We really enjoyed utilizing the decks for morning coffee and cooking out in the evening. We hiked Crowder Mountain which was amazing. It was nice to hear the waterfall from the yard and hear the birds in the morning.

Property was just as advertised. Nice quiet setting off the beaten path, yet convenient(5 min.) to I-85. We were able to enjoy activities in the hustle and bustle of Gastonia and Greater Charlotte area( PNC Pavilion) with ease, yet return to the serenity and peace of the property for rest. The accommodations are clean and comfortable. Host were very responsive and provided much appreciated hospitality.

Our stay was nice once we were able to check in! Our host neglected to send us the access code to the lock box. We were about an hour late being able to check in. Trying to get internet access for our phones was nearly impossible so that also delayed our check in!! I realize that things happen, but the host offered absolutely nothing for the inconvenience!

Quiet getaway spot

Perfect small home for a quiet getaway. Excellent communication with owners. Far enough away from town to enjoy the peace and quiet. But close enough to easily get to restaurants or grocery.
