We had an amazing getaway to Hayward at the Rest A While cabin. We walked in and it was spotless. The living room, kitchen and dining room had all the amenities we needed. The grill out back was great for cooking steaks. There was plenty of outdoor seating and a fire pit for making s'mores. We took our toddler out on the paddleboat and canoe both days we were there. We brought her life jacket so it was safe and a lot of fun for her. The lake is also set up nicely so you don't get overrun boats after you leave your dock from the cabin. The bedrooms were very comfortable. Plenty of sheets and pillows. We brought extra blankets because we get cold. The bathroom was clean like the rest of the house. We couldn't complain about one thing. The management was very detailed (thank you Rhonda!) and we felt well taken care of during our stay. The cabin is in walking distance of mini golf and the lumberjack show - and local restaurants. It's literally the perfect set up. I would definitely stay here again with my family!
This place worked well for us. My husband has disabilities. So with everything close by it was easy for him to get to the restaurant, ice cream mini golf ect... Lots to offer. The cabin was nice had everything we needed. I really would liked to have a few hooks in the bathrooms and bedrooms. The rugs were slippery. But I would absolutely go back. Everyone very friendly.
The cabin was just what we needed for three adults and a four year old. The layout of the main areas was comfortable and very functional. The upstairs bedrooms were great -- one for mom and dad with a baby bassinet -- and the other with twin beds which worked well for grandma and granddaughter. The canoe and paddle boat offered some great entertainment. We also enjoyed the lumberjack show, mini golf, and ice cream which were located very handy to the cabin. Fishing would have been an option off the dock had we tried to do that --- swimming was not an option due to weeds. Hayward has a lot to offer and we enjoyed our stay very much.
Two couples shared this cozy cabin to go on a week fishing trip. It is in the heart of many events and the restaurant and little ice cream store is right on the property and VERY good! You can walk to town too. I would recommend it!
We stayed in the Rest A While cabin this Aug. Close to downtown and many other activities. The cabin was very clean and well maintained! Its on a small lake with doc for you boat, or for swimming and skiing, but there are MANY larger lakes around within 30 min; we had a great time, highly recommend this place!!!
We stayed in the Rest A While cabin for our family vacation this summer. We have 3 small boys and this place was perfect! Close to so many activities, we played a ton of mini golf (great course!), ate lots of ice cream, and enjoyed the lumberjack show. Also a short distance from downtown and other activities. The cabin was very clean and well maintained! We are already talking about booking for next year!!
