My husband and I take a stay-cation after our busy work season. Because we can't do that at our own home, we must choose another location in order to truly rest and relax. This home has served this purpose for us for some time now. We check in and relax, play games, eat, watch movies, etc. for 10 restful days! Although we know that highly recommending this home will limit our opportunities, we must highly recommend this home as these hosts deserve it!If you want a clean, private home with a beautiful view and even a gift of a great bottle of wine, this is the place to stay.

Thank you so much for such detailed review! We look forward to hosting you again soon.
We took a girls' trip to Hood Canal and this home was our base. We really enjoyed our stay here. The location was amazing - within walking distance of Hoodsport town and winery. The home was very clean and right on the water. We loved watching the sea otters from the back yard. There was a big kitchen with all the supplies you could want, and the bathrooms were great. The only thing I would improve is there wasn't a nighstand in the room with the twin beds so we moved a folding chair in-between the beds and that worked perfectly. (This is obviously a very small thing considering how much we enjoyed the house.)On the other hand, they had plenty of hooks in the bathrooms to hang clothing, toiletry bag, towels, etc. I've stayed in other places that didn't provide that and it's a pet peeve of mine! The hosts were also great. Very communicative and helpful. I would definitely recommend this home and we all agreed we would stay there again.

Wonderful to hear about your stay! Looking forward to hosting you again in the future.
Beautiful property. It was just what we were looking for. Close proximity to great food and activities. Waking up to a view of the good canal was great, even when the thick fog rolled in one morning. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a quiet getaway in a clean and well cared for property.

Sincerely appreciate leaving the nice review! Looking forward to hosting you again in the future.
Nice centralized area to explore seattle and Olympia. House was very clean and peaceful. Great coffee spot nearby in Hoodsport. We had a little difficulty with the door lock, but Hugo worked with us and made it right!
Exceeded our expectations. Clean. Very comfortable. Well stocked shower and bath supplies. Couldn’t be closer to the water, beautiful view. Would stay again.
We loved staying at this property on Hood Canal. Close to Olympic National Park and a beautiful place to rest and relax. The weather was perfect and we enjoyed watching the sea otters in the mornings.
We love this place. Comfortable. On the water. Close to cool little eateries. Smallish grocery handy…bigger stuff like Walmart and Fred Meyer 20 minutes up the road. Plenty of linens if you are staying a few days like we do. Washer and dryer are right in the house (not in the garage) so super convenient to run a load without a big vacation interruption. This was our fourth year (escaping Arizona heat) nuff said.
This was our last stop of a 10 day visit to Washington. It was a lovely spot to relax after many days of hiking. We stayed for 3 nights and enjoyed the house immensely. Highly recommend!

Thank you, Elizabeth! Please do come visit us again. This is a great area for hiking and exploring wilderness. Then to enjoy ocean that’s right next to it. - H&H
It was beautiful, peaceful, relaxing, comfortable, and memorable! Hugo and Helen go above and beyond, and their hospitality is exceptional from start to finish. Add this beach house to your vacation plans, as it is a must-visit!
This is a beautiful home, in a great location. Enjoyed the kayaks, BBQ'ing, and watching the tide come in and out. The owners were very attentive and so easy to work with. Looking forward to returning soon. Thanks H&H!

Absolutely! Come visit us again. And so glad to hear you have enjoyed your stay.
Came back for our second visit and were not disappointed. Big pluses: king size master, A/C, location, great hosts who check in, kayaks, smart TV, basics provided. WONDERFUL
This property was great for our stay in the Olympic peninsula. We were out most of the day exploring the national park (Forks, Hoh rainforest, Port Angeles, Staircase,etc.). It was nice to come back to such a clean and inviting vacation home on the water. Beautiful views and all the amenities you could need. The owners really have thought of everything. Thanks!
The property was situated just feet from the water. It had all the necessary amenities. We would definitely stay again. The only thing I wasn’t aware of or didn’t read is that there are stairs for two of the bedrooms. The stairs are narrow and difficult for senior citizens to maneuver luggage up. However, the spaciousness, cleanliness and view supercede the stair issue. A
This was our THIRD year at this property. Not only is it in a beautiful setting right on the water, but its proximity to groceries, eateries, golf and other activities is ideal.
There are only two of us, but the house could easily accommodate a family two bedrooms upstairs in addition to the downstairs master.
We’ll be back again next year to enjoy a break from on Arizona’s summer heat.
Beautiful home right on the water. Our one rainy day turned out to be great for hiking in the Olympic National Park and we had an evening double rainbow right out the back door after the storm passed. The home was perfect for our family of four and we were able to get groceries with ease a very short drive away. Very cute town area. Great spot overall to unwind and appreciate the beauty all around in Hoodsport and beyond.
My wife, Cindy, & I spent a week celebrating our anniversary at this Beach house. You couldn't get any closer to the water than we did. There were beautiful views with ceiling-to-floor windows. The check-in was easy & the kitchen was fully stocked. They even left us a nice bottle of wine to enjoy. They were very accommodating, as I am in a wheelchair almost 24/7. They built a little ramp for me to access the house with no problem, and the doorways were wide enough to roam the house with no difficulty. We will definitely be coming back soon. Larry
What a beautiful setting. The home is perfect, right on the beach. We enjoyed finding oysters on the beach. So much to do in the area. The hosts are quick to reply to questions. Everything was above and beyond. The kitchen was stocked, the home was comfortable and welcoming. We will be back. Just amazing!
Awesome house that is right by the Ocean. Very clean and listing reflects location accurately. Only a few minor things to note: the road next to house is very busy, one needs to be careful when going into and out of house; Also, the house needs a first aid kit in case of minor cuts/scrapes. Would love to return!
Perfect location for our base camp during our hiking of the southern part of the Olympic National Park area. Rental was stocked to the hilt with supplies and accessories. Only issue is lack of decent restaurants in the area. We hiked all day and didn’t want to cook. On the last day we stumbled upon the Hamma Hamma Oyster Co and highly recommend the short drive north up 101. Overall a great rental and beautiful spot right on the Hood Canal.
Everything was perfect as last year. We love this house.
Couple mornings were a little chilly and had to use the heater.
Had a few oysters and they were fabulous.
Love the view
One suggestion would be to have a little table in upstairs bathroom for soap and shavers.

Beautiful experience on the water of the Hood Canal
The roomy house is easy to get to and close to many outdoor attractions. It is an emasculate home with many surprise comforts included. The flowers around the house were enjoyable each morning while gazing out at the sparkling water. After a long day of hiking, the cool water felt great at high tide. The owners included plenty of outdoor seating, kayaks and wood and even kindling. The home had all we needed as far as kitchen niceties, paper products, soap, towels and linens. It’s clear that owners love the house and property and so generously want to share it. My husband and I hope to return.
We felt like we were staying at a friends vacation home vs a rental. The property was beautiful both inside and out, and had everything we needed - a true home away from home. If you like to cook while on vacation, you'll find higher end cookware, knives that are sharp, and a great selection of spices. We watched harbor seals poking in the waters every day from the deck; we even had a pair of bald eagles hunting the shore just to the south of us! Our kids enjoyed having their own space upstairs in the game room. It was quite hot on the 2nd floor as there is only AC on the 1st floor, but it was warmer than usual and the kids managed ok. A fan was really needed to pull in the cool air. The only downside is that there is some road noise due to proximity to 101 (worse on the weekend), but the pluses of this property far outweighed the noise for us. We would definitely come back and plan to stay a full week!

About the host
Hosted by H&H Lopez
We are husband and wife team that fell in love with this property back in 2020. Our work brought us to this area some 20 years ago. And since then, we have been enjoying everything this beautiful northwest region has to offer.
Why they chose this property
Just as you would notice, calm water at Hood Canal is unlike any other places. You can kayak, swim, scuba dive, collect oysters and watch sea creatures and waterfowls year around. With our girl scout daughters, we used to camp at Robbinswold, and that's how we found this very property.
What makes this property unique
The property is so close to many beloved trails & parks, as well as modern conveniences within few miles away. Yet right on the beach where you can launch kayaks and collect oysters.
