About this property
Hood Canal, 1930's Beach Cottage, 315' Cove with Oysters!
Shuck, kayak, crab, clam, or just relax on the deck of our beautifully restored 1930’s beach Cottage, right at the water’s edge. 315' of oyster rich no bank waterfront on a sheltered cove. Everyone will have fun!
Also available for rent are our adjacent Octopus Hole Beach Cabin (VRBO listing #163757) and our adjacent Big Gray 1930's Beach Cabin (VRBO listing #575843). All 3 cabins are located right next to each other, right on the beach. Listing #163757 has a hot tub and #575843 has a hot tub and a sauna.
Rent two or all three cabins for a large group. They are ideal for family reunions…plenty of room to celebrate together while each family also has their own space.
The Studio’s interior has vaulted ceilings of combed cedar and a really cool bathroom with pebble floor and walk-in shower.
This is a studio unit with a queen-size Murphy bed that pulls out of the wall and two European-style (comfortable...no springs!) queen-size sofa sleepers.
Amenities include flat-screen, DirecTV, DVD/BluRay, fully-appointed studio kitchen, linens, bedding, Weber gas BBQ with side burner, washer/dryer, outside shared fire pit, deck furniture.
Property is on a cove with 315' of no bank beach frontage (we own the tidelands). The location is friendly and private. The cove makes it very easy to launch kayaks so be sure to bring them. Or, you can rent kayaks (and kayak crab pots) from Kayak Brinnon ... they will deliver and pick up for just a small fee.
A boat launch is less than 10 minutes away and a sheltered mooring buoy is available right in front of the cabin. Trailer parking is also available.
We are located One Cove North of renowned Octopus Hole Dive Site on Hood Canal, near Lilliwaup, Washington. We are minutes from Hoodsport amenities and nearby Olympic National Park.
Please ensure the number of guests entered is correct. We have a $20/person/night extra person fee above 2 guests. Due to limitations on our utilities, maximum occupancy at all times is 2 unless an exception is previously coordinated in writing (see Rental Agreement).
We have one security camera located in the upper window of our garage, directed towards the driveway gate.

About the host
Hosted by Suzanne

I am a Pacific Northwest Natives who enjoys fishing, hiking, skiing, and generally enjoying everything the Olympic Peninsula has to offer. I have managed the Hood Canal cabins since 2001, when the cabins began a painstaking renovation. I hope you love the cabins and Hood Canal as much as I do!
Why they chose this property
The West side of Hood Canal offers both salt-water fun and hiking opportunities in the Olympic Peninsula. You can scuba dive, snowshoe, hike the Staircase, fish, and mountain climb, all within minutes of the cabin. Very few places in the world offer such diversity. Oh, and did I mention the oysters right outside the front door?
What makes this property unique
It's very relaxing. Not just the view of the water , fun on the beach, or storm-watching in the winter, the cabins are warm and inviting. We're less than 2 hours from Seattle, but you really feel like you've gotten away from it all.
