Enjoy fabulous views of the powder white sand and blue and green water of the Gulf of Mexico while sitting at the kitchen table. SUMMER PLACE #501 located on Okaloosa Island offers BREATHTAKING VIEWS OF THE GULF!!

We love our vacation resort offering the best of both worlds - Fort Walton and Destin- voted #1 Beaches in America. On-site management and keyless coded lock makes check in so convenient. Fort Walton is a quintessential southern beach town with laid back charm and family friendly attractions.

Summer Place is minutes from Destin offering plenty of stimulation including terrific shopping at the largest outlet center and one of the top 10 golf towns in America. SummerPlace #501 is a PERFECT END UNIT WITH EXTRA WINDOWS(avoid the closed in feeling of the interior units) in a mid rise complex for those that want to get away from the congestion of large complexes, yet it is directly on the beach & within walking distance on the Boardwalk, Restaurants, activities and excitement. THERE ARE PLENTY OF REPEAT CUSTOMERS THAT WOULD NOT STAY ANYWHERE ELSE!

Summer Place #501 is a PLATINUM RATED property on the 5th floor offering one of the largest balconies on the island. Enjoy the 9 foot ceilings throughout and all tile floors (no grubby wet carpet after a day at the beach or pool) There are TWO POOLS (one heated year-round),a huge deck area with plenty of lounge chairs, BBQ Area (including 2 having natural gas), HOT TUB and PRIVATE FITNESS CENTER facing the Gulf.
UPSCALE FURNISHINGS and Large Flat Screen Smart TV's in our condominium make the stay even more pleasurable. Kitchen IS COMPLETELY STOCKED and offers beautiful granite counters and large breakfast bar and new stainless appliances.

The EMERALD COAST CONFERENCE CENTER is only a stroll away. Summer Place is also close to Eglin Air Force Base. There are several fantastic restaurants within walking distance.

Another Perfect Stay!

This condo is impossible to beat. On a quiet section of the beach but so close to everything! Always a clean condo, well equipped kitchen and the deck speaks for itself. Can't wait to come back again next year!

What a beautiful condo and location, very relaxing, wish we could of stayed longer, beach is so close, the 2 beach umbrellas and 4 chairs got alot of use, great view off the big balcony. we will be coming back

Great Location

There’s a lot of construction taking place on the property and a lot of conflicting signs as to what was available for use. It looked as though one of the elevators and the heated pool and hot tub were closed when they were not. Once we figured out we were able to use both elevators and the hot tub it was a wonderful stay.

Great location! Second year staying here! Met our needs. It does need updating in Master Bath, replace huge tub with a great shower. Found a few dirty dishes and silverware. We will come again!

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our vacation was great, perfect weather, beautiful water. The condo was just a place to sleep, but really could use some major updates, cosmetically, and the washer & dryer function, but could also stand to be updated - very noisy & did not get everything very clean, but served its purpose. However, the mattresses do need to be replaced - very worn out & it would be good for any "extra" blankets to already be clean & ready to use (they were not). We did have a small plumbing issue & the management company was very quick to respond & get it corrected. We consider these things minor, because the beach met all our needs, but a good nights sleep would have been welcomed.

We LOVE Summer Place!

We LOVE Summer Place & have stayed at Summer Place for over 18 years!!! We had to change condos this year as our person decided to use theirs for their family only so we rented another unit but needless to say it wasn't near as clean as the one we were use to... We will continue to stay at Summer Place but maybe try another unit next year.

Relaxing week with friends

Check in was super easy. The unit was clean and had everything we needed. We spent most of our time on the large balcony if we weren't on the beach or at the pool. We also enjoyed the hot tub. The weather was beautiful the entire week. We only left the premises twice. The complimentary umbrellas and beach chairs were an added bonus. I highly recommend Stewby's Seafood. We placed an order one evening and picked it up. It was delicious. Thanks for letting us enjoy your place for the week.

Our stay was good. I can't complain about much. The room with double beds has a fan thats very off balance and noisy and the pots and pans need to be updated. The toilets have issues with flushing and the handle is very positional. The shower was full of hair in the drain so my husband was able to address that. Overall though the condo was amazing. These are just FYIs to address for future guests. We had an amazing time.

Great stay

Positives: great views, large balcony, beautiful decor, everything we needed in the kitchen (cooked and froze food for my baby), plenty of room for our 4 adults and one baby, great location on okaloosa island, plenty of storage space in all rooms. Beach and pool were quiet. Beach chairs included in price. Negatives: sideways view of the beach very restricted due to the building next door and the wall to the next condo on the otherside. Front on the view is great but we like to look up and down the beach, not possible due to balcony being a corner one. Wifi was so slow it was unusable. We enjoyed our stay and would stay again if ever visiting the area again.

Wonderful vacation

The condo was wonderful and as described. Property management sent our check in info to the wrong number, but it was cleared up within an hour. We had Wi-Fi issues due to a storm prior to our stay and it was fixed quickly. Umbrellas at the pool and updated grilling area would be a great update for the complex. Having 2 sets of beach service was awesome, but going down to the beach very early every morning to reserve a chair that the condo owner has always paid for wasn’t fun. They did not give you an option to reserve for the week. Overall beautiful clean condo and we would stay again!

The owner Barry handle any problems that arose expeditiously. The kitchen was well quipped all though some of the Teflon pans should be replaced. The unit overall was great! My family had a lovely time and enjoyed being directly on the beach. Summer place had 2 nice sized pools and 1 hot tub. The outdoor balcony was very roomy and you didn't have the sun blazing on you in the morning or in the evening. We noticed other units had raised seating which would have been nice to have but what we had was fine. Plenty of seating in the condo, dining table sat 8 and the Livingroom easily sat 8 as well as the balcony. This location was perfect location only 10 min or less to Destin. A suggestion to Barry update condo photos on vrbo for your condo, this place is much nicer in person than photograghed.

We do love the extra seating at both the family room and breakfast room table. And most importantly, we are happy you enjoyed your vacation while staying in our condo. Great Location

The condo was very nice and the balcony was very roomy. We had a few hiccups during our stay. One the elevator was not working on our floor for several days. It was a holiday weekend so they didn't get it fixed until Tuesday. Two the beach service guy was very rude. I spoke to him several day and each day he was very rude. Didn't explain how the beach chair service worked. In past condo's we rented all you had to do was tell them your condo # and they would set them up for you each day and put a marker on them with your room #. On the third day we came to the beach he said it was first come first serve, and to check in with him each day. Could have told me that the first day! Other than that was a great condo and would stay there again.
