Cozy farmhouse filled with vintage charm. The beds were comfy. The AC kept us almost too cold with the temps in the 90s outside. Star viewing at night was spectacular. Loved the drinks and homemade granola provided by the host. The best was having an electric water kettle (I am a tea drinker) and a French press to make a proper cup of coffee. A quick drive to Fredericksburg, Enchanted Rock and all the nearby wineries and distilleries. Thank you for a great stay!
Lovely home in an unbeatable location. The host was thoughtful and provided lots of information, and the space itself was both comfortable and inviting. We spent most of our day out exploring, but appreciated returning to this peaceful, safe, and cozy retreat.
The house is so cute. I love the older houses. The decor is so fitting and nice. It feels very homey. It was clean, smelled very nice and cool when we arrived. The host was responsive and accommodating. This was our second visit for our wedding anniversary. We may just have to come every year.
The place is adorable, with a great and convenient location, and the property owner was great with communication. Would definitely stay again and again!
We had a truly lovely stay at Dove house. The house was well appointed, hosts were very responsive whenever we reached out with questions and the location was perfect. Highly recommend!
Everything was beautiful! The house was roomy. We loved seeing the deer everyday. The host checked on us twice to make sure we didn't need anything. We had everything we needed.
The whole house was super cozy. It’s a 100-year-old historic home, so don’t expect modern amenities. The beds are queen-size, and I thought it was a three-bedroom since we told VRBO there were five of us. Turns out, it’s a two-bedroom with a pullout sofa bed in the kitchen dining area. Overall, it was comfortable, and it’s about 10 to 15 minutes from town. The host was the best!
My friends and I stayed here for the weekend for a girls trip! We loved the house so much!! There was plenty of room for all 5 of us and it was so cute. Definitely recommend and we’d love to come back one day:)
Hi Colin!
We have addressed the shower head and also labeled the cabinet with all the records to make it easier to locate! Sorry you did not find it during your visit!
Thanks!
This lovely little house has a great location. You have the benefit of country quiet while still being convenient to Fredericksburg. It’s a great older home with all the conveniences you could want. The host, Jonny, was extremely attentive and available if needed. It’s a vacation home we will certainly revisit.
The house is so cute. We enjoyed the decor, the record player and the feel of the old house. It was very clean and cozy. The only thing that could be improved was the back bedroom mattress. Otherwise it was perfect for a sweet little getaway!
