Lucked out!!!
First two properties I’d selected were leased out before I’d an oppty to lock-them-in. Didn’t know it at the time but BEST thing that happened! The third, as they say, was a GEM! Clean, bright, modern, well-equipped, very peaceful setting if you like having a seat to a wildlife menagerie with private pond, multiple bird feeders, relaxing & elevated back deck.
A family of 15 (!) wild turkeys came by every AM to feed on the birdseed knocked out of the multiple feeders by the various colorful species.
We actually decided to recharge for a day (rest our sore legs from past 15-hr walking day) and just enjoyed the solitude and reconnection of three former Embry-Riddle roommates who hadn’t seen each other in FIFTY-TWO yrs.
Now some key features:
- The two-level town home is very large and can comfortably sleep three couples in beds (3BRs), another couple or multiple kids on very-large “L” sofa.
- Away from hub-bub of Oshkosh (but only 20-min drive)
- Short(er) restaurant wait-times
- Public golf course literally five-mins away!
- Nearby Wal Mart - Bought food, beverages and adult-sz folding shoulder-sling chairs ($15 ea.)
- Less than ten-mins to Appleton arpt (where we tied down our A/C - $25 for all week)
