Redneck for sure

The positives they are very nice this is a good concept with poor execution. The negatives 1. do not pack a lot there is very little space 2. You are literally sharing the boat with the owners in a very very small space with no showers 3. This is their home and sometimes being on board is more like being in their home than your vacation 3. My son and I left the night before at 9:45pm at night because their boat would not work to pick us up. Firstly have a secondary plan. I texted hours before the scheduled pickup time even if the dingy didn't work they could have paddled the 5 yards from shore. 4. There is a doggy poop pad right next to the window that you sleep next too. If you don't mind the smell then you'll be ok. 6. If you are having this as a room I would have left the first night. I realize they don't have a lot of money but that is no excuse for cleanliness. The boat should be spotless for your guests if nothing else. There chicken on board so they should have made sure the poop is cleaned up before you get there. I would not stay here again with my child. I really wanted this to be a good visit so I could give them a five star there is no way. How to improve 1. Don't talk about to your guests about personal stuff. Even though you guests may chime in most people don't want to hear your story. 2. Be on time 3. Find ways to make space on the boat 3. Give hangers for clothes to dry 4. Create maybe a outside sleeping space on the bow to give an outside sleeping option. Do not set your expectations high. The name is accurate Red Neck Fishing. So there are no fruiffy amenities and be as primitive as possible. Too bad actually. I left my fishing gear and some clothes there so enjoy! I don't like to hear the word so So many times in one hour. Lastly if you can't provide a lot then what you do provide provide well

A rocky experience

If you want an adventure this may be right up your ally. It’s a look into the lives of people who live on their boats full time and what that all entails. I get a bit queasy on boats so it may be my issue but we had a hard time sleeping. To keep the cabin cool, the window is open to let in breeze so you hear multiple different sounds all night. I ran my sound machine on my phone and had ear plugs and still tossed and turned. If it were a hotter time of year (feb for us) I imagine it would be toasty in the sleeping cabin. The bed is comfortable. There were plumbing issues because the pumping of their tank was delayed. There was a smell because if that and we could not use the onboard toilet as listed. It’s a short trip to shore for a bathroom there if that happens. I requested a refund for that day but have not heard back. They took us fishing, made us chicken on the grill and were very hospitable. Gave us lots of information about the area. There is frequent smoking on the back deck so if that would bother you take note. The “door” to your sleeping area is not a fold over divider, it’s a curtain. There is a dog on board as well as a pet chicken. Some will find this homey and fascinating, some may not like it. A laid back experience to the max. If the engine on the dingy does not start, you have the entertainment of watching multiple spark plugs being tried. The main boat itself is not operational currently engine wise. If you want to snorkel, a day trip in another boat will need to be booked. The last boat we stayed on took us to our snorkel location, so that was different for us. The views of the bay are beautiful. My favorite memory will probably be having a muffin and coffee sitting on the front bough of the boat in the morning. We saw a manatee and several sting rays and fish around the boat. Swimming was great- water temp perfect. Just remember a boat is small, so if you want a private experience , a boat is not really great for that.
