It's our home away from home! Quaint & Cozy.

The complex is beachfront - we have a sandy beach in The Keys!

Balcony has an ocean view, two bedroom, two bath property.

Perfect for two couples -or-small families wanting an escape in the Florida Keys.

This second-floor unit is a nicely appointed second home, cozy and relaxing. It has a screened-in patio, so you can enjoy the tropical views in comfort. Check out the view from the balcony among our pictures. Our balcony overlooks the pool, and the ocean and beach beyond. The condo complex has an nice little sandy beach and a tiki for picnicking. We have chairs for you to relax in while you soak up the sun and the blue water views. You can swim, snorkel, fish, kayak or paddleboard right off our beach. Bring some swim shoes because our little island is made of fossilized coral, though our beach and ocean areas are sandy, there are some rocky places and grassy places. That sea grass is crucial to the environment, and we sometimes have sea turtles nesting on our beach. Did I mention we have a heated pool? We do.

The bright and airy master bedroom features king-size bed and private bath. 2nd bedroom has twin trundle beds, or our housekeeper can make it into a king bed for a little extra fee. Tile floors throughout, and a fully appointed kitchen. Air conditioning & ceiling fans. We supply the bed linens, bath and beach towels, beach umbrellas and tennis rackets. We give a start-up supply of t.p., paper towels & soap but the rest is up to you. We have two grocery stores on our island, and plenty of good restaurants.

Rates are subject to change until reservation is confirmed. In addition to rates and taxes, there is a $100.00 exit cleaning fee. We do not book or accept payment thru V R B O, we must speak to you in person. Also, the calendar is subject to change and may not always reflect the most accurate availability.

The perfect place for our family vacation!

The Royal Plum Club worked great for our family vacation! We had six adults and one baby with us - me, my wife, our grown son, daughter-in-law, daughter, friend of the family, and our 8 month old grandson. Our condo overlooked the pool and ocean, and was clean, convenient & comfortable for the whole family. The club and the staff there are wonderful! Kevin, the maintenance manager, takes excellent care of the grounds, and was always there with a friendly recommendation on local activities & attractions. He even let me borrow some fishing gear to try an catch some barracuda I saw snorkeling out front! It was also great having the pool to cool off, especially after a day of adventuring. There is a deep and shallow end.

We rented a paddle-board and a few kayaks for three days from Wheels-2-Go (which were delivered) and had a blast with them! One morning we took the kayaks east to the end of the island (basically at the end of Coca Plum Dr), past the abandon mansion, near Curry Hammock State Park. We tied up the kayaks and did some snorkeling by the rocks there. The fish were beautiful and we even saw a number of very large lobsters!

It was nice to have the sandy beach area beyond the pool, but we didn't spend much time in the ocean there, other than on the paddle-board and kayaks. You'll find at this beach, and in may places in the Keys, there is quite a bit of sea grass - the natural habitat of turtles, and lots of the native sea life. That said, since the condo is in the Middle Keys, there are a number of beaches and state parks nearby, and both Key Largo and Key West are just an hour or so away. We took a day trip to Key West and spent an afternoon at the beach at Fort Zachary Taylor Historic State Park. That is definitely worth the trip! Water shoes are nice to have, since the beach has lots of shells, but the beach, shade and snorkeling there is great!

Here are some other places and things we'd highly recommend: The Island Fish Company, Sparky's Landing, Tarpon Creek Bar & Grill, Diving with the Abyss Dive Center, Snorkeling out at the Sombrero Lighthouse (a *must* for snorkeling lovers), and the Turtle Hospital!

All-in-all, the Royal Plum Club, staff and location was perfect for our vacation! If you're looking for a safe comfortable place - a second home, away from home - I'd highly recommend it!

Marathon Condo

Was just OK. Our unit was very old and tired. Screen door was broken which seems to be the case with all of these condos. The price was good and the folks in the office were very friendly and helpful. It is what is is!

Owner's Response: We appreciate that you gave us 4 stars, which is positive despite saying that the condo you stayed in was "old and tired" which is negative. Our condos are all individually owned and reflect the tastes and needs of their owners' - these are first and foremost, their second homes. When you visit us - think of it as staying at your aunt or uncle's beach house. Our value is in our home-away-from-home-y-ness; our relaxing atmosphere and excellent location, mixed with our competitive rates. We are not an expensive luxury palace. So, one person's charming and vintage is another person's "old and dated." As for the screen door - we are in a salt air environment, there is constant exposure to harsh elements, we (on-sight overseers Meghan, Becky & Kevin) are constantly maintaining, fixing and replacing elements like the screen door, I can assure you that door was taken care of.

Winter in the Keys

Family with 7 adults stayed and a baby. Welcoming staff, friendly and personable. Condo we stayed in could use some updates, master bedroom was exceptional. Other beds do not compare to master bedroom. Simple things like new pillows, cooking utensils, enough dish soap and dishwasher soap. Also would be nice if Condo had a guest book with comments and highlights of other guests. Pool area was great,

ocean front very nice. Overall super vacation. Not a complainer , with a few updates I would have gave this property a 5 star rating.

what do you want in keys?

Stayed a week in unit 13. Note some units have screened porches, a must for all the no-see-ums. Some units ocean front, ours with ocean view, others garden view only. Frankly, if u desire ultramodern decor, this is not your place. We found condos to be very comfortable, kitchens adequately stocked, and grounds immaculate. Pool is very handy, easily viewed from balcony, with ocean beyond. Beach is atypical with grassy bottom for quite a distance. This makes water calm, but not easy to stand up. Forget surfing, just too calm. Staff is on site, readily available, even for emergencies. We were surprised how safe this made us feel compared to rentals with no close concerned party. 4 stars since condo was not perfect upon arrival, although staff was responsive to our concerns (burnt out lightbulbs). If you need quiet and comfort, this is a great place.

Loved our stay on the Garden Side

We had a very enjoyable time at the Royal Plum. Upon arrival we were able to check in on time and getting into our condo was very uncomplicated. The condo was well equipped and very clean. We loved the quietness of the garden and spent every night on the screened in patio. During our evening swim we met Kevin the grounds keeper. He was super informative and very friendly. We loved our view and the quietness of the condo complex. The pool and beach were perfect! Pool and beach toys are avaliable and even lounging chairs. Just bring your beach towel and relax. We will definitely return next year!!!
