SWEET RETREAT is located in the prestigious Laurel Valley on a very quiet road. There is room for up to 4 vehicles to park in the two driveways, which would even accommodate a trailer with motorcycles.
As you enter the great room, the ceilings will tower over you! Beautiful beams adorn the upper spaces, as well as a gorgeous brick wood-burning fireplace. The open loft will provide hours of family enjoyment with games & seating for making lifelong memories. The fully equipped kitchen is located on the main floor as well. The large middle island offers a ton of counter space for spreading out and cooking wonderful, tasty meals for your family with ease. The dining room provides enough seating for all 8 guests to eat together.
On the main floor, you will find the master suite with a king-size bed and lots of space. There is an ensuite bathroom with a large stand-up shower and bathtub. The master suite also has its own private entrance to the screened-in patio. Both of the other private bedrooms are located on the lower level. One bedroom has another king-size bed, a dresser & closet. The other bedroom has a queen/twin bunk bed and a dresser. There is a full bathroom with a large shower in between these bedrooms.
The upper loft is large and wide open to the great room below. It has a sofa sleeper and a chair for relaxing & hanging out together. It also has a table for four to play board games & card games. The 3rd full bathroom with a stand-up shower is located here. There is also a twin roll-away bed in storage up here for the 10th guest to sleep.
Even on a rainy day, you will find so much to do at Sweet Retreat. On the lower floor, you will find a gameroom with an air hockey table, a ping-pong table and a seating area for hours of family fun and enjoyment.
SWEET RETREAT's outdoor space is lovely as well. The screened-in patio is spacious and offers lots of seating for guests to relax and have an early morning coffee, listen to nature wake up, or have a late-night glass of wine just in time to unwind.
We do not accept pets in any of the cabins without specific written approval from management. Only those dogs that have specific and formal training as a SERVICE dog will be allowed in our cabins. Emotional support animals are not accepted.
IMPORTANT: Out of respect for the holidays and our employees, we do NOT allow ANY check-ins or outs on Thanksgiving Day or Christmas Day

*3 pm - there is NO check-in office, you go straight to the cabin

Common Concerns:
*Road Conditions: Some of our cabins are on steep, narrow, curvy, mountain roads. If you are concerned about road conditions to get to a cabin, please feel free to ask us! None of our cabins requires a 4-wheel drive under normal weather conditions, but some do in inclement weather.
*TV & WiFi: We do have TVs and WiFi in most of our cabins. There are times when heavy cloud cover, weather systems, mountains, or trees will cause problems with the signals. We always want our guests to have the comforts they want on vacation, but there are times we cannot control this problem.
*Pests & Wildlife: Here in the Smoky Mountains, we have lots of native bugs and wildlife. All of our cabins are treated for pests, but there are times you will find bugs or even have trouble with bugs. Fall/Winter is ladybug season in the Smokies, and these little buggers are attracted to heat, meaning your cabin and every other one out there that is warm! They will swarm to the cabin, and you'll probably see them alive/dead on windowsills, in vents, etc. Rest assured that your cabin has regular pest control and is professionally cleaned, including bug removal, before and after your stay. However, these bugs come back right away, and unfortunately, there is nothing that can be done about them until the season passes. Please never feed, taunt, or approach any wildlife. This is their home, and we are the visitors.
*There are no refunds for storms or power outages. If there is a power outage, there will be no water and potentially no heat. Storms can also make roads impassable, so if a storm is in the forecast during your reservation, come prepared with water and non-perishable food, etc.
FEES: The management company of this cabin charges a $20 per stay Damage Waiver Fee to every customer. It is automatically included in your rate. This covers our guests for up to $350 worth of accidental damage should damage occur during their stay. If damage occurs to the cabin, furnishings, etc, please report it to management as soon as possible so that the damage can be repaired. You may opt out of paying the $20 damage waiver fee by putting down a $350 REFUNDABLE damage deposit.
