A View to Remember | Gulf View, Community Pool

A View to Remember is a spectacular home located in Pointe San Luis, on Galveston's much desired West End. An amazing unobstructed view of the beach and bay from almost any window. A quick walk to the beach. This three-bedroom, two-bath home sleeps 9 people.

Upon arrival to the home, a charcoal grill and picnic table on the downstairs patio are available for use. The large deck upstairs at main entrance with seating to watch the beautiful sunrises and sunsets. This house has an open concept living room and kitchen area. The kitchen has been upgraded with granite countertops and stainless steel appliances. The refrigerator has an ice maker for hot sunny days! The kitchen is fully stocked with dishes and small appliances.

Primary Bedroom is privately located on the upper level with a king bed and adjoining bath with double sinks, jetted tub and separate shower. Talk about relaxation at the beach! The second bedroom also features a king bed! The third bedroom has a twin over full bunk, as well as a twin over twin bunk with a full-size bathroom. Washer/Dryer located on the main level for added convenience.


POINTE SAN LUIS & PLAYA SAN LUIS

Playa San Luis, on the beachside, offers numerous beachside dune crossovers to access the beach, and Pointe San Luis, on the bayside, offers a seasonal community pool and hot tub.

The community pool is Seasonal only opened Memorial Day - Labor Day.

This vacation home should accommodate up to 4 vehicles to be parked at the property. Carpooling is highly recommended. Vehicles should be parked in the driveway or designated parking space. At no time should any vehicle be parked on lawns, yards or dune. Many HOAs do not allow parking for trailers, RVs, boats, etc. Please contact Ryson with any questions.

Even if listed as a provided amenities, Ryson is unable to guarantee specific cable package, network or channels or cable and internet signal quality and cable may not be available on all TVs.

All reservations require a completed Ryson Rental Agreement, and the agreement holder must be at least 25 years of age to rent this property and provide a valid ID at check-in. Check-in time is 4 pm and check-out time is at 10 am.


EXTENDED STAYS

Monthly rentals are considered in the off-season - Winter Texans, snowbirds, retirees, corporate stays, medical professionals, university students and plant workers are welcome. Extended stays or monthly rentals require a stay of 30+ nights, and these reservations are tax exempt. This is an immediate savings of 15%! Although most extended stay reservations are between the middle of November through February, extended stays may be considered anytime between Labor Day and Memorial Day. Extended stay reservations may not be placed online, but a Ryson Vacation Planner would love to answer any questions you may have and help you reserve your extended stay.

No A/C

When we arrived at the house the A/C was ot working and we found out the breaker to the A/C had been turned off meaning that someone knew that it was not working. It was 92 in the house. After contacting the management company numerous times they finally let us know that the owner did know that the A/C was broken but did rented the property. We had to stay one night with no air and then moved to another rental for memorial day weekend. The whole process with management company took way longer than it should have and we only received contact when we threw back the agreement terms that they make you sign before you rental the property. I wouldnt rent this house again. Terrible owner only out for money which is how it seems everyone is nowadays.

Top notch

The property was great. Absolutely no shortcomings. When we had questions, I could never reach anyone. And that was a complaint I read about many times, my suggestion is that a link to the Guest Portal be put in every email you send during a guest’s stay. I had to always search back in my Invox to find it when I had a question. Thank you

Summer 2023

The location of the property was great! Short, easy access to the beach and far west from the sea wall. Unfortunately, we had a lot of problems with the house itself. From the beginning we were given the wrong door code and had to wait for someone to call me back with a new code. Once in the house we discovered there was no key in pool lock box so we couldn’t use the swimming pool. Dog hair was everywhere even though the house says no pets. Dirty bleach water left in the sink in the bathroom that I had to put my hand in and drain. House is hot with no fans, ac doesn’t cool well. It stayed at 77-78 degrees no matter the thermostat. Dishes were dirty in the cupboard. The bunk room tv doesn’t work and the dryer door doesn’t stay shut when trying to dry your clothes so you have to keep going in there and closing it. While showering a roach crawled down the wall in shower with me.

We had a wonderful time while we were there. The house was lovely and we loved that the beach access was right across the road. The house was clean and Ryson did a great job with communication.

Great place!

Very clean, plenty of room and a great location if you don’t mind staying just a short drive away from Galveston downtown area. Easy beach aces which was perfect for us.

Great place!

This place was great. The kitchen had enough supplies for all of our meals, yet had enough cabinet space for us to store our own stuff. Sitting on the front porch was a favorite during our stay. The walk to beach was easy and quick. Orbif you prefer, you can pack your car and drive across the street. Would definitely come back.

Great weekend spot

The location is further down the coast on a more-secluded beach, which is exactly what we were looking for. But, if you want something close to Moody Gardens and Pleasure Pier, this is not the house for you. The house itself was clean, organized, and decorated nicely. The driveway had plenty of parking for our multiple cars. The house was an easy 2-min walk across the street to a public beach access point. I took off one star because the communication is lacking with the property management. We had issues with the door lock and called the after hours emergency number for assistance, but no one called me back until late morning the next day. If you have any after-hours issues, don't expect a quick reply.

Cute and cozy!

Likes: This house is very nice and clean. We had a wonderful time! They had almost everything we needed. Love the ocean view and the deck is pretty awesome. Dislikes: The house is really far from Galveston. The drive to the house was a turn off because it is just so far from everything. The huge deck itself could really use some lay out chairs. We had our little toddler with us and the master bedroom upstairs built not kid friendly at all. It was dangerous for our toddler to be in that room so we switched to another room that did not have a TV. That wasn't fun! The blinds in two of the rooms were broken before we got there. That should have been fixed. Overall, we do like the house.
