Jaguar: 2-Bedroom Ocean-View Penthouse in Villa Mar y Sol

Jaguar is the ocean-view penthouse apartment at Villa Mar y Sol, and encompasses the upper 3 floors. On the entry (street) level is a guest bedroom with ensuite bathroom and a separate study with a queen-sized sofa bed. (Please note that the only bathroom on this level is accessed via the guest bedroom.). The next level up is dedicated to the living area and kitchen, with an open floor plan and sliding glass doors that incorporate the wrap-around balcony. The upper level is entirely for the master bedroom, with a private bath, walk-in closet, and balcony with dreamy views of the ocean and surrounding valley.

NOTE FOR PARENTS WITH SMALL CHILDREN: There are high balconies on every level with dangerous drop-offs. Please see the photos of the railings before you proceed to book.

Wonderful Spot in the middle of everything

Villa Mar y Sol is located between Manual Antonio and Quepos. Perfectly situated close to everything we wanted to see and do. The house itself is amazing. Very clean and well appointed. Certainly one of the best VRBO locations we have ever stayed in. The view is amazing and management was attentive without being overbearing. When we come back to Costa Rica, we will try to plan our trip around the availability of Villa Mar y Sol.

I truly underestimated the quality of this property, a three-level penthouse that is really a three-bedroom two and a half bath and is amazing in its quality of aesthetics and views

Jaguar Sol y Mar

This was an ideal last minute booking for three 50+ friends. The apartment is set far enough away from the main road that we were visited by macaws, white face monkeys and other wild life. We enjoyed the views from the balconies and our time at the pool. The apartment had everything we needed for our stay. The only downside for us was nearby construction (inevitable in MA). The VRBO photos are pretty accurate representation except for the pool which could use an update.

Accurate description by VRBO reviews. Great views of ocean. Location ideal for activities in the area. Amazing visits from scarlet macaws and toucans plus other tropical birds. Will need 4x4 vehicle to get around. Recommend expierence with mountain driving on narrow one lane roads with curves and cliff edges. Would not recommend walking near road at end of road. Manual Antonio park amazing… recommend private guide….. without him would not have seen most wildlife. Beautiful house. Only complaint is the most uncomfortable couch I have ever been on.. everything else …..exceptional..

Wonderful stay near Manuel Antonio Park

Nicely appointed, roomy three story condo between Quepos and Manuel Antonio National Park. The views are incredible and the daily visits from friendly macaws were such a treat. There is a housekeeper available that will service the condo daily if requested, just leave a tip. Be warned, the drive up Valle Para Vida is an adventure, but it is so worth it because otherwise you would not get the amazing views!! So incredible. Would've given 5 stars, but there was a miscommunication about how to access the condo (be sure you get clear intel) and we had some minor maintenance issues. Communication with host was great.

The first time you drive to the property it is intimidating- very steep, narrow, and winding roads. But the home is lovely and looks just like it is presented online. Be prepared to hike up and down steps once inside. The home is very vertical! Great views and quality feel to it. The pool was amazing in the hot thick Quepos heat.

The million dollar view off the decks is unreal. When we pulled up the monkeys were jumping in the trees and a group of macaws were flying above. This property is spectacular!
