About this property
BEECH MTN RESORT 2 MILES-4 BR-YARD, SMALL DOG FRIENDLY NO FEE, FIRE PIT, CLEAN
Deer Trail Lodge, a lovely Beech Mountain cabin with log siding and tongue groove vaulted ceilings, built in 2011 and recently fully remodeled with all new furnishings and finishes, is ready to welcome your family. The house is small dog, house-dog friendly, with two dogs weighing no more than 30 pounds each allowed with no fee. Larger dogs are not permitted. With a well decorated and cozy 4 bedrooms and 2.5 bath layout, including two king suites, one with an adjustable luxury king bed, Deer Trail Lodge is the perfect vacation spot for your family of up to eight people. The cabin is located on a paved road with all roads paved to the home (there are several routes to the home, but one route is fully paved) . The updated central HVAC system ensures that guests have a cool summer mountain experience or a warm and toasty winter getaway! It is a rarity for a home on Beech Mountain to have central HVAC system! The two indoor fireplaces offer easy push button remote operation for instant heat. Guests frequently comment about how exceptionally clean and well-maintained the home is, and this is a result of the host’s investment in and appreciation of the home.
The interior of the home is painted in a light and bright, modern white, with new hickory wood floors throughout the home. A mosaic tile backsplash is a great addition to the kitchen decor. On-site entertainment/relaxation opportunities include: foosball table, outdoor fire pit, corn hole boards, board games for all ages, children’s toys, family friendly VCR tapes, family friendly DVDs, access to TV programming on smart TVs, two decks with comfortable seating, outdoor grilling on Weber grill, two creeks, and frisbee golf goal.
Deer Trail Lodge is located at 4330 elevation, where cool temps are guaranteed throughout the day in the summer, with temperatures averaging in the 70°s in July and August (rarely gets to 80°) and snowfall is welcomed in the winter. In the fall, guests enjoy a blanket of fall color across the local mountain range in October or early November. While you relax at the fire pit for a night of clear sky star viewing and s'mores, your furry friend can enjoy fetching a ball in the flat, grassed yard.
PET RESTRICTIONS: Guests can bring up to two small indoor, well groomed and bathed/brushed dogs under 30 lbs. each WITH NO pet fee! We do not accept outdoor dogs or larger dogs. (Please send a pre-booking inquiry with questions about the acceptance of your pet). We request that owners honor our owner responsibility policies in consideration that we do not charge a fee for dogs. We kindly ask that dog parents “leave no trace behind” of their furry friends by picking up yard waste, removing all fur and ensuring that no damage to the property occurred during guest’s stay.

About the host
Hosted by Lora Williams
Our family has been traveling with VRBO since 1995, but we have been renting private vacation homes as early as our honeymoon in May of 1988. Since that time we have learned what makes a vacation home "return worthy", and we have tried to apply this experience to Deer Trail Lodge as a five-star worthy vacation home experience. We enjoy travel to Beech Mountain regularly, and during our vacations there we ensure that the home is ready to deliver a five-star guest experience. We have created a detailed area travel guide that guests are given access to after booking.
If you desire to bring a dog with you to your stay, please contact us prior to booking for confirmation of acceptance. We want to ensure that all guest experiences are excellent, and as such, we are able to accommodate only smaller dogs. We no longer permit large breed dogs.

Why they chose this property
We choose Deer Trail Lodge for the uniqueness of Beech Mountain, with abundance of local attractions such as Tweetsie Railroad, Grandfather Mountain, The Blowing Rock, The Land of Oz, Beech Mountain Resort for mountain biking and skiing, The Highland Games, and Moses Cone. We graduated from ASU in 1989, and our family has enjoyed this area of North Carolina for years. We enjoy the mountains year-round! Regarding communication with guests, Guests can rest assured that every communication received from the host is from a real person, who is both the host and the owner of the home. Messages are not generated with the use of any type of AI software. As hosts we are committed to making your vacation experience as personal and unique as possible, and will not ever use AI generated software.
What makes this property unique
Beech Mountain, nestled in the Pisgah National Forest, is a remarkable place to visit as North Carolina's highest incorporated town. Our property is visited daily by a literal "trail of deer' and even an occasional bear! For us, the home provides a serene and peaceful place to exit the hustle and bustle of the world.
