Why Property Manager chose Faubourg Marigny
We enjoy the arts, culture and wonderful people, fantastic music, and especially the cuisine in New Orleans. We fell in love with this neighborhood and decided to invest in this beautiful cottage.

A Phenomenal Place
The property at 1428 can only be described by three words: homey, elegant, and wonderfully located (that may have been four).
The rooms and decor were absolutely delightful and truly felt like home while in NOLA. The location was wonderful, within just a few minutes walk from many of the city's best spots on offer.
Finally, the true hidden gem of this property was the property manager, Michael. He was a remarkably host, ensuring we made it into the property easily and safely, and checking in periodically to make sure we had everything we needed. He was a wealth of information on the best spots to visit or sights to see.
Thank you for this glowing review! We are always grateful that our guests notice the attention to detail that we work hard to provide. Just a quick correction - our Cottage on Royal is located at 1430 Royal Street. We enjoy secure gated entrance through the courtyard at the building next door. We are thrilled that you enjoyed your stay!
Clean, warm, beautifully furnished with a great location
We enjoyed the Cottage on Royal so much. Mike was a huge help with getting us setup, recommendations, and being available throughout our stay.
The place is lovely. Beds comfortable, and the courtyard is great to hang out and relax.
The location can't be beat. We walked everywhere. It was only a few minutes walk to everything. Very convenient.
We highly recommend.
Frenchman Street... Shhhhh.......We want to keep it a secret..
Everything I love about NOLA and then some. The shotgun house is quaint, adorably decorated, equipped with essentials, and close to everything. Frenchman street which is a block over is where the locals go for real music, real food, and real NOLA.. The only thing I would advise is use a white noise app if you are a light sleeper. I am a very light sleeper but with the noise on my phone it wasn't an issue.
NOLA home away from home
Perfect location. Beautiful decor. Amazing vacation experience.
Absolutely LOVED it!
Enriches NOLA visit
Great place, great location! The cottage is beautiful, clean and has everything you need to be comfortable. We love this cottage so much, it's our second time renting. We didn't want to leave!
Fabulous location + Great Amenities with one caveat
Just returned from a three night stay at the cottage. Absolutely loved it and hope to return! We were a party of three fun loving middle age gals and appreciated the solitude and security of the gated, tucked away location. It was incredibly comfortable with modern fixtures, adequate heating/cooling and equipped with anything you'd need for an extended stay. Location could NOT be beat. We had no desire to stay too far into the Quarter and being just over Esplanade was a nice respite - and we really enjoyed the walks to and from, as we needed to walk off all the food and drink! The surrounding neighborhood feels just like that - a neighborhood. The property contact/manager was super helpful with recommendations and granting access and it was a comfort to know he was onsite in another unit.
The only slight downside is the extremely rowdy nighttime noise and disruption from the Royal Street Bar across the street - which faces the bedroom windows (which are a bit thin). Patrons mingle (loudly) outside on the sidewalks for literally the entire length of the block (and just outside our bedroom windows) - and it would go until close to 4am (they close at 3a). I had earplugs and slept like a baby every night; my travel mates did not and suffered greatly. All that being said - we actually ended up at that bar on our last night (when in Rome!) and had one of our best nights of the trip! So it is all in how you choose to look at it I guess.
I would absolutely go back to this property in a heartbeat, but would just be well equipped with earplugs. I might not recommend this for families with small kiddos - unless they make tot-sized earplugs. :)
