Great location and room - terrible hotel staff.
We stayed at the Allegheny Springs hotel through CasaGo. CasaGo was great, the house had awesome views and a great location, and was stocked with everything we needed in the kitchen and bathrooms.
However, our keys that we picked up from CasaGo (at the bottom of the mountain) didn’t work for the parking lot dedicated to our building OR to get into the actual hotel itself; the keys only worked for our specific room. We notified the front desk and CasaGo, both of whom had us reprint our hotel key cards at the front desk and try again at the lot. The new keys also did not work. We had our keys reprinted at least 5 times and the hotel staff had us going to the lot to check, coming back, driving to Mountain Top, all to never have the keys work. Eventually they agreed to have maintenance come open the gate for us, and when I asked what car to look for and what time frame, they could not give an answer and said if they don’t arrive in 30 minutes to come back to the hotel - this was after we had been running around for nearly 3 hours at this point and did not want to wait in the freezing cold any longer. When asked if they would validate our parking via valet or a paid lot, they said no. We ended up parking in a paid lot anyway because we had no where else to go, and CasaGo was great in reimbursing us for this cost.
Moral of the story - CasaGo and their house were great. The hotel was completely incompetent and clearly did not care about their guests.
