Summary:
Welcome to Tennisplace D22! A picturesque island sanctuary located just over the Sanibel Causeway near beaches, restaurants, shopping, and featuring easy on/off island access. Quaint and charmingly furnished, this residence is just steps from a small private beach and biking trails. Tennis Place is the perfect choice for intimate travelers looking for time to reconnect, and for independent travelers passing through or meeting up with family and friends. You can't help but end up on Island Time with the fresh cheerful colors and thoughtful touches that adorn this 1 bedroom 1 bathroom residence. Enjoy new furnishings and a fully equipped kitchen with a casual breakfast bar for morning coffee before hitting the beach, pool, or bike trails. The master bedroom is spacious and thoughtfully laid out with airy natural light and conveniently located by the bathroom with a tub/shower combination. Tennis Places' favorable location as the first turn after the Causeway Islands allows you to skip the dreaded beach traffic and get right to the good times! Enjoy community perks such as the heated pool, tennis courts, gas grill and on site laundering to round out a stress free stay in Paradise! Includes two adult bikes.

The Space:
The residence features a large living room with kitchen, a separate bedroom, and one bathroom. The bedroom is equipped with a comfy king bed and flat screen TV. The bathroom features a large updated vanity with quartz top and a shower/tub combination. The kitchen is fully equipped with a large breakfast bar. The living room includes a queen sleeper sofa and features a flat screen TV. On the front patio, guests can enjoy seating for up to two with a large patio table facing the pool.

Guest Access:
Guests have access to the heated pool, tennis courts, grills, and on site laundry. Guests also will enjoy access to the two adult sized bikes located under the building in the designated bike storage area.

Other Things to Note:
Guests must complete a rental agreement upon booking.
A non-refundable cancellation fee of $100 will apply for reservations cancelled prior to the cancellation policy window. This fee covers our credit card processing fees on a refunded deposit payment.

We are available as often as needed for the convenience of our guests!

Sanibel Heaven

The unit was clean, nicely decorated and the perfect size for two people. The neighbors were very friendly too!

Respite

We were in Sanibel to start the rebuilding of our home. We had 10+ hour work days in 105 degree heat. We definitely enjoyed the AC, comfortable bed and a place to rest at Tennis Place.

Clean Place

We were so glad to be back in Sanibel. This place was clean and located right near the causeway. Communication with the property management was excellent. The beach is on the harbor side so not quite what we thought which is our personal preference. The kitchen was well stocked to be a small place. That was nice. We didn't get in the pool, but it was a lovely area. The place needs a little TLC because of wear and tear on the countertops, bathtub, etc. The bikes had flat tires and we couldn't open the area that said there were beach supplies because the lock was rusted. There were several light bulbs out. These are just little things that can easily be fixed. Still a very comfortable place to stay and we enjoyed our time.

Pictures of Unit are Misleading

This was the WORST VRBO property I've ever had the misfortune to book. The unit is rated as a 9/10. Given the fact that the unit badly needs to be updated that rating is wholly misleading. The unit smelled of mold, had no battery in the smoke detector, the shower liner was stained, the tub needs to be reglazed, the stove hood was rusted and the light did not work, the ceiling by the bathroom sink needs to be painted, the unit had no luggage racks and the dish rack was rusted and unusable which matters because there is no dishwasher. The description does not mention that the units are on the 2nd and 3rd levels and that there is no elevator so you need be in good shape to carry a large suitcase and groceries up the stairs to the unit. The description mentions an "office space" which is nonexistent. The master bedroom is described as "spacious and thoughtfully laid out." The space is almost entirely taken up by the bed. So much so that there was not even enough room for our 2 suitcases. We had to keep our suitcases in the living room. The furnishings are described as "new"; the bed is described as "comfy" but the mattress on the bed was not new and the whole mattress is so soft that it ripples when you turn over. The bathroom is anything but "updated", especially the tub which needs to be reglazed or replaced and a new shower curtain and liner are badly needed. I can no longer trust the VRBO ratings of properties if this is what is now considered to be a 9/10 property.
