About this property

Cozy, Comfortable and Quiet Cottage in the Woods

Quiet yet central enough to be in Edgartown, Oak Bluffs, Vineyard Haven and several beaches in 10-15min by car.

We’ve done several renovations over the last years and love spending as much time in our cottage and the peaceful backyard as possible.

New kitchen and appliances.
Minisplits for aircon in living room and two upstairs bedrooms. The downstairs bedroom has a window unit.
Small washer/dryer unit in downstairs bathroom.
Spacious deck, outdoor shower, little garden area and fire side.
The space
Comfortable living and dining room with open plan kitchen.

1 Upstairs bedroom 1 queen bed
1 Upstairs bedroom 2 twin beds
The closet of the smaller twin bedroom is used for storage. That’s why there’s only space for 1 person.

Sleeps up to 5 people

Our lot is bordering the land bank and the Penny Wise Preserve. The old Tar Kiln Path turns from an asphalt road into a walking path within 50 yards. (see map)

You might be aware of it, but please do take notice that the entire island has a problem with ticks. We’ve even seen them on some beaches.
Make sure to check yourselves every evening. .

The Penny Wise Preserve is just 1min around the corner. Great for lovely strolls and runs. You can also extend the trail around the private Vineyard Golf Club.

Beautiful secluded private setting!!

This place is the perfect spot if you want a peaceful getaway on the vineyard. Easy check in, clean, nice appliances and a private outdoor shower in a wooded setting. The owner learned we were coming with small children so he had extra railings installed on the stairs and loft area, much appreciated. We enjoyed our stay!

Tranquility in the Woods

I have had a wonderful time staying here. I love the privacy with an equal amount of tree cover and sunshine. Brand new kitchen was well equipped for every meal I prepared. The deck and yard offered plenty of room to entertain my adult children and their many friends for a barbecue dinner. Then a short walk to nearby trail with meadow to view the Strawberry Moon up close. I especially appreciated being 8 minutes from downtown Edgartown and 11 minutes from OB. The house was very clean and comfortable and Sun filled from the open concept and sky lights. My dog was welcome too! She and I went right to the nearby trails in the morning. The property manager was super helpful with information regarding garbage pick up. I will definitely come back again!
