Walk to Edg Ctr, Bike to Beach! - 7 /11 - 7/18 & 8/22 - 8/29 Ferry Res.included!

3 bedroom, 2 full baths home on Edgartown / Vineyard Haven Rd in Edgartown. The house is just a 1/2 mile to restaurants & shops, 1 mile from the Edgartown center, 1.5 miles from Edgartown State Beach. It is an easy walk to the town shops and restaurants. Bike path is right outside your front door, leave your car in the driveway and bike to the beach on the bike paths.

House is comfortably decorated, Kitchen has all the conveniences of home. Cable television in living room and 3 bedrooms.

Enjoy the cozy fire place in the living room during the cooler evenings of spring, fall and winter!

Internet access available for those of you that can't escape email!


Linens and towels: Please leave sheets and towels clean and folded, otherwise your security deposit will be reduced by $125.00/hour that it takes cleaners to launder.
Another option is to bring your own. There is a King, Queen, Full, 2 twins, and queen futon. There are also linen rental services on island.

Great week on MV!

This was our second time staying at this beautiful Martha’s Vineyard home, and it was just as wonderful as we remembered. The location is perfect—close to town, the supermarket, beaches, and coffee shops, making everything easily accessible. The neighborhood is also great for morning walks.The house itself is well-appointed with everything you need, and we especially enjoyed the backyard, complete with a grill and fire pit—perfect for relaxing evenings with family and friends.We had a great week and truly appreciated the comfort and convenience this home offers. Looking forward to returning again in the future!

Loved our stay in this cozy home! Really enjoyed using the bike path and exploring the woods nearby. So many amenities.. beach chairs, boogie boards, games, books.. and we used them all. Great stay in this home walking distance to restaurants, the movie theater and shops.

MV Wedding Week

Only thing I’d point out is that- and she very clearly lets you know this in the description- washing and drying and folding the sheets the day of departure was a little tough. If I’d known the beds wouldn’t be made anyway when I arrived, I probably would have brought my own to avoid the stress on move out day. But again- she was very upfront about the option to bring our own. Plenty of space for sleeping. Walking distance to edgartown- plus right on the bus route. We had a great week!

Wedding Weekend on the Vineyard

Delightfully welcoming, perfectly located, clean, (with comfortable beds for all!!!) and fully equipped cottage stay for our family of four at this spot at the Vineyard. This long weekend, in spite of weather, was spectacular. The owner was warm, generous, and available when we had questions! Hope to stay there again and again!

Edgartown Getaway

We had 4 adults and this property had ample space for everyone. it was clean, cozy and had great deck space for family bbq. I would stay there again without hesitation. Ellen was right on time whenever we had a question, and we were right in the middle of going anywhere on the Island.

Wonderful house in Edgartown!

This house has everything you need for a great vacation on Martha’s Vineyard. Close to Edgartown center, the beaches, and the supermarket. We appreciated all of the beach chairs, towels, and games to help keep the kids happy. Nice deck, grill, and plenty of room for everyone to be comfortable. Ellen is a joy to work with and we hope to return for another vacation. This is a great place for families!

Cozy and Convenient

We enjoyed our stay at Ellen’s house. It’s conveniently located to beaches and bike paths. We took advantage of both during our stay. The house is spotlessly clean, well supplied with a big kitchen and comfy sofas. We stayed in November when weather was too chilly to use the deck but we grilled a Bluefish my husband caught off Chappaquidick. We recommend this house to other groups visiting the Vineyard.

great house at the right price

This house was everything we anticipated and more. The location was perfect, a quiet spot away from town but within reasonable walking distance. Stop an Shop is close and the house is located on bus line #1. The home was clean and well-maintained. The owner was very friendly and communication was prompt and easy. This is a great value!

Edgartown Vacation

The home had all the amenities you could ever ask for. The rooms were spacious and had more than enough beds for everyone. The location was perfect. We could bike to downtown Edgartown and walk to nearby restaurants. It was a short drive to Oak Bluffs. The weather was perfect, sunny and warm everyday, so we ate most of our meals out on the large deck. It was cool enough at nights to have a nice fire in the fire pit and make smores. Highly recommend renting from this host.

Ellen’s Escape

The house was cute, cozy, comfortable and clean. The kitchen was well-appointed with dishware, cooking equipment and gadgets. The location was great as far as being central to everything. The owner was very nice, and we very much enjoyed our stay. Note: if you search for a market or grocery, one might not turn up in your app, but there is a Stop and Shop just a half mile down the road.

Perfect Location

We had a great time. The location was perfect and we were able to travel around the island by car as well as many places that were within walking distance. The house was clean with the option to use sheets/towels left at the house or bring our own. The best part though was that we were able to bring out 2 dogs. They loved the house and there were so many places for them to go when it was walk time. Ellen was easy to communicate with and ready to take care of any issues that might arise (although none did-our vacation was perfect in every way!).

Vineyard family holiday vacation

We had a wonderful week on the Vineyard. Ellen, the owner of the property, connected with me before we left, so the check-in process was flawless. The minute we walked into her house we felt right at home. Even our dog, Blue, settled in right away. The location is perfect- a nice walk into Edgartown and within a short drive of the other Vineyard towns and beaches. The night time fires in the cozy living room doing a puzzle or playing games was our family favorite. We loved every moment of our stay and hope to return.

I grew up in Braintree, MA (just south of Boston). For the first 30 years of my life I had never been to the Vineyard.

When we turned 30, my twin sister and I decided to visit this lovely island for the first time. The moment I stepped off the ferry I was in love. Every winter I booked my vacation for the next summer and would do the count down until I could return.

While I still live in Braintree, I try and spend as much time here as possible. No matter what the season, I love coming down!

Why they chose this property

In 2005 I purchased this home. For me the location was ideal, it is on the bike bath, 1.5 miles to the beach and to the edge of the water in downtown Edgartown (The Atlantic on Edgartown Harbor). It also happened to be very close to one of my FAVORITE restaurants, The Square Rigger (Lobster stuffed with Lobster...YUM!).

If I am not in the mood to bike/walk, I can always catch the bus as the house is on the bus route too.

When I purchased it was circa 1970 so I did some major renovations: new kitchen, 2 new bathrooms, new mudroom, new deck.

This house also had a fireplace! Yeah, what a great way to enjoy the island in the winter.
