Casa de vacaciones - familiar

Esta es una encantadora casa de campo con detalle y carácter. Tiene la sensación de una casa antigua hecha nueva. Los techos altos, los pisos de madera noble (otoño recién lijado de 2015) y las escaleras de madera muestran su estilo y belleza, pero a la vez son muy limpios, luminosos y acogedores. La cocina se ha actualizado en el otoño de 2015 con nuevas encimeras de granito y pisos de madera. Las imágenes todavía no reflejan estos cambios. La casa está ubicada junto a maravista en una zona ideal para familias con niños en el vecindario. Las playas están muy cerca, a menos de cuatro calles. Apenas se puede ver el viñedo de Martha desde una de las habitaciones de arriba, pero desde las playas parece tan cerca que parece que se puede alcanzar y tocar.


Un poco más en el área ...: sería una casa ideal para que una familia numerosa o dos familias más pequeñas pasen unas vacaciones. Hay mucho que hacer en Falmouth, y también hay islas y otras partes de Cape Cod para explorar. Las playas de la ciudad de Falmouth solo nos mantienen ocupados durante mucho tiempo. Andar en bicicleta es una excelente manera de explorar el área y puede llevarte bastante lejos en las islas, alrededor de Famouth y Woods Hole, para tiendas de dulces, helados, playas y más. Personalmente encontramos mucho que hacer en Falmouth, Woods Hole y Martha's Vineyard que casi nunca conducimos a otras partes de Cape Cod.

My family and I stayed here for the Falmouth Marathon weekend. House was very conveniently located and in a quiet neighborhood. Looked just like the photos. Martha’s communication was timely. We enjoyed our stay and would definitely return!

Excellent property! Great location, five minute walk to the beach and close to the town of Falmouth. Spotlessly clean. Kitchen was very well equipped and the space was perfect for our family. Definitely recommend staying here. Martha is a great host.

In a nutshell, it was a fabulous multigenerational family get together. This home provided more than enough spaces and privacy to accommodate family board games, cards, reading spots, front and backyards. We walked in and it felt like home.Neat & clean, quiet neighborhood.

Falmouth family retreat

Overall I really liked the home and the location. I have a family of 6 all young adults. The home was perfect with plenty of sleeping space. The back patio was stunning and perfect to relax and have good quality time. I would recommend a good power washing of the outside shower. And a tv in the large family room. With so many of us it is good to have options. Overall I would definitely stay here again. The location is beautiful

Great access to Beach

The lovely house easily accommodated our group of 10 people. We enjoyed being able to all eat a meal around the table together. The location was very convenient and easy walking distance to the beach. The driveway was long enough to park 3 vehicles. We did have to bring our own sheets and towels, which was clearly communicated in the property description. It was challenging to pack all the sheets and towels for a group of 10 as we had people flying in from CA and overseas and driving from OH. We loved our stay and would book again!

The Coziest Cottage

We loved our 2 day stay in Falmouth. We came up for an October wedding. The VRBo was 3 minutes walking distance from the beautiful beach. There was plenty of room and the house was very clean. We would love to come up again and would definitely recommend staying here!

Wedding Party Stay

e had an amazing time. The house was perfect for our needs. The owners were close by and very attentive. The beach was so close. We walked there in the morning to have our coffee. There is a great walking/running path. I loved it. The only thing to note is the second bathroom is attached to a bedroom. So to use the downstairs bathroom you would have to walk into the bedroom. Was not a problem for us at all. There is an awesome outdoor shower as well. The yard is beautiful. Perfect place !

Great location!

Such an easy walk to Falmouth Heights Beach and a 5 min drive to downtown, we loved the location of this house! The house itself was large and we comfortably fit 8 adults and 2 babies. Thank you!

Wonderful Cape Cod Vacation Rental

This was a perfect house for our recent holiday. It is a very comfortable home-away-from home with a well-stocked kitchen (new dishwasher and fridge), terrific backyard for BBQs, a large dining room, a separate TV room, gorgeous upstairs bathroom, and decent-sized bedrooms. As a bonus, there is an AC unit on each floor (for the hot and muggy nights) and laundry in the basement. The house is an easy, five minute walk to the beach and you can see Little Pond from the kitchen window. It’s in a quiet residential neighbourhood but only five minutes from downtown Falmouth. The house and garden were immaculate and beautifully updated. Thanks for a great week, Martha!

Very nice house in great location but poor communication

The house was very clean in great location. We were told to bring our own towels and sheets (not an issue), but there wasn't even a hand towel in the bathroom or tissues for the house. We've rented in the past and there have been hand towels, tissues, etc. supplied at least when we brought our own shower towels and linens. Back door and front door had issues with locking (we eventually were able to get it out but front screen door was broken and wouldn't close all the way). We had an issue with an alarm while we were there and we could not get in contact with owner. There was no second number to call in case of emergency. This should be supplied once you are at the house in case Martha is unavailable. We eventually heard back, and the nephew was aware of the beeping from previous renter (didn't know what it was, we figured it out for them), so in the future, warning the next renter would have been appreciated. We also inquired about the exact number of beach chairs at the house (to know if we had to bring any with us) the week of our visit. Owner was out of town so I followed up 2 days before our trip as she told me she'd be home and we never got a message back after that. Luckily there were 4+ chairs, so it was not an issue, but would've been unhappy if there were not enough chairs when we asked with enough notice. Overall, house was very clean, and great location, but with lack of communication for the price we paid, we won't rent here again.

Juneteenth Holiday at Martha's

We had a wonderful stay at Martha’s place in Falmouth, MA. The house was spacious, clean and comfortable for our family of five. We loved the location, just a two-minute walk from the beach and close to shops and restaurants. Martha was a great host, very responsive and helpful with everything we needed. She even left us a delicious bottle of wine as a welcome gift in the fridge. We would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a relaxing vacation on Cape Cod.

The Perfect Getaway

My friends and I had the most perfect weekend getaway at this house. Martha was extremely communicative and kind. While the weather wasn't what we hoped for, it did not matter as we were so happy with the home. It was clean, up to date, and so cute. We are already talking about a trip back! The perfect cape rental.

Fantastic spot for groups at Falmouth

A few friends and I were running the Cape Cod marathon and this was the perfect spot to have a home base, a short drive from downtown. The house itself was very cozy with thoughtful touches, and provided warm blankets and full kitchen. Martha was very responsive to any requests or questions we had. Would definitely consider staying again if we’re in the area.

Perfect house for girl's weekend

The house had 5 bedrooms and 1 1/2 bathrooms which was perfect for our group of 5 older women. House was clean and communication between owner was easy. Bringing our own sheets and towels was a bit of an issue (due to our travel arrangements) but not a big deal. Walk to beach and one restaurant. Lots of sidewalks. Great town with friendly people and easy access by ferry to Martha's Vineyard.

This property was owned by good friends when I was a child and the location was just perfect to walk to the beach and still easily get to Martha's Vineyard and Woods Hole too.

Some of my favorite things:
I love that there are french doors sectioning off the living room from the sunroom where part of the family might be watching TV.
I like how you can easily walk back from the beach if you want a snack or an afternoon nap.
I love the old light fixtures all painted new.
I love the art work - all photos of a terrific artist Lindsay Shaw.
