About this property

The Eagles Nest on The Cook Inlet

Welcome to the Eagles Nest, right on the bluff overlooking the Cook Inlet! Whether you're coming to Alaska to catch our world renowned salmon or to visit the last frontier, you and your guests will surely enjoy our beautiful two story connected home. We share one common wall, but both properties are completely separate. Eight comfy beds in four well appointed themed bedrooms and two additional semi-private sleeping areas (with blackout curtains), make for a great night sleep. Enjoy your favorite beverage on your private deck as you gaze at Mt. Redoubt & Mt. Spur.

Our home is located on a two acre bluff parcel with unobstructed views of three volcanoes. Mt. Redoubt, Mt. Spur and Mt. Llianna are all part of the Aleutian range just across the Cook Inlet from your living room. Your space (approx 1500 sq. ft) is comprised of two beautifully decorated floors. The first floor offers an open and comfortable living room, a fully equipped kitchen and an ocean inspired queen bedroom (beluga suite) with attached full bath.

(PLEASE NOTE - ON SITE LAUNDRY USE IS BY REQUEST ONLY ... coin op is just 1 mile down the road)

The second floor offers three additional bedrooms and two other semi- private hall sleeping areas with privacy curtains.
Bedroom 1 (Moose Rack) has two twins that can be converted to a king by request. Bedroom 2 (bear den) has one twin. Bedroom 3 (salmon suite) has two twins. The two semi-private bunk areas (caribou corner and eagles nest) each have a twin bed and blackout privacy curtains. The second floor also includes a full bath and a half bath. Kick off your shoes and enjoy the 2nd floor cozy living space with a couch and a t.v. where you can enjoy a movie or snuggle in with a good book!

Your outside area had a spacious deck with seating for eight. There is a gas fire feature (one tank of propane included) to take off the chill as you gaze out at your magnificent view. You also have a Traeger grill (full hopper of pellets included) to smoke or grill your catch of the day. We provide a floor freezer to store your fish but absolutely NO FISH PROCESSING ON SITE. We would be happy to provide recommendations for a local fish processor.

We are centrally located to Alaska's most renowned fishing. Salmon fishing on the Kenai River is approx. 5 miles from our home. Drift boat salmon fishing on the Kasilof river is approx. 12 miles away. World record halibut fishing in Homer is approx. 90 minutes away. We offer a free concierge service to our guests and will happily arrange any fishing or other activities.
