Lake Superior Barn är en 4 250 kvadratmeter hem med 4 badrum och boende för att lätt sova 20 personer i de 6 sovrummen och 15 bäddarna .... lakesuperiorbarn. com. (se mer här.)
Det är utformat för att rymma flera familjer med öppna badrum och individuella toaletter och duschar. Hemmet ligger bara 30 minuter öster om Duluth på Lake Superiors sandiga södra strand.

Lake Superior Barn står på 320 hektar av avlägsen vildmark och sandstrand. Hemmet ligger på sjön Superior över sjön och stirrar över sjön till North Shore-städerna Duluth och Two Harbors, vars ljus blinkar på avståndet på natten. Fastigheten är helt omgiven av Brule River State Forest så det finns inte ett annat hem på Lake Superior kusten för miles ... Njut av den avskilda sandstranden eller gå som ett hav som söker strandglas. Lyssna på vågkraschen eller simma i de renaste av alla de stora sjöarna, där temperaturen kan nå 60 eller 70 grader i det grunda, sandiga bottenvattnet. Värm upp till en drivved eld eller grillat s'mores vid vattnet.

Än en gång tillbaka till huset, tvätta sanden av dina fötter i utomhusduschen samtidigt som du tar 180 graders utsikt över Lake Superior. Njut av den 1600 kvadratfot återvunna däcken precis utanför det vackra köket och ett skafferi med alla extra ingredienser och kryddor som du kanske har glömt. Bygg en eld med ved tillhandahållen i sten spis eller lägg i en böna väska och plocka en bok att läsa från de lagrade bokhyllorna i loftet. Lake Superior Barn har 6 sovrum, 4 badrum och 3 duschar byggda från det återvunna timmeret, stål och naglar av 7 sekelskiftet Minnesota-ladugårdar. Spelrummet har strålande betongvärme för att värma tårna när du spelar pingis, videospel, shufflebräda eller lounge på soffan för att titta på en film på Apple TV.
Lake Superior Barn är en unik och rustik upplevelse ... det finns en TV, men ingen satellit eller kabel-tv ... massor av kort, böcker och brädspel! Vi har APPLE TV ... som en stor iPod med filmer, TV-program och musik.

På 320 hektar skog finns spår genom skogen och broarna över Haukkula Creek som strömmar längden av fastigheten. Plocka hallon och vilda jordgubbar på sommaren eller snöskor i skogen och stigarna på vintern ... på något sätt kommer du aldrig att stöta på en annan person på det privata och avskilda landet. Avsluta dagen genom att bygga en eld medan du tittar på Lake Superior och titta på sommarsolen som ligger över Duluth Hills.

The Lake Superior Barn was a wondeful location for our group of 3 families to convene for a long weekend. We never would have needed to leave the property with the sauna, hot tub, beach, fire pits and areas to explore but it is also in a great location for day trips to Duluth and Bayfield

This property is absolutely amazing! We stayed for four nights which was not nearly long enough! After arriving we never left and enjoyed every minute, never getting bored! The location is fantastic! We did not use the sauna, but the hot tub was a big hit! Enjoyed the best fire pit we have ever had every night too! The indoor fireplace is beautiful and our kids enjoyed the game room and cornhole. We have stayed at many properties but this is one of the best! The owners were great as were the caretakers. We sure hope to return soon!

Beautiful place for family vacation.

The location was beautiful offering magnificent views and relaxation. We really enjoyed the hot tub and shoreline. The structure of the Barn itself was spectacular ! We were looking forward to walking on the trails that were around the property especially the ones leading to creeks or shoreline. So it was disappointing that many trails were so overgrown. The magnetic screen door was in very poor shape which contributed to many flies coming inside the Barn. Kris was very helpful and readily answered any needs or questions we had. Overall we had a great time there and would certainly recommend this place to others.

Perfect Christmas Cabin

Girlfriend Birthday Celebration

We had large group of girlfriends coming together to celebrate birthday, bake holiday cookies etc. Amazing stay at beautiful property. Enjoyed walking along frozen lakeshore and soaking in wood fed hot tub and sauna. Highly recommend in fact one of friends booked for another gathering!

Beautiful and fun even in the rain

The barn is a unique, spacious and comfortable place to gather with several families. We loved cooking and eating meals together, playing in the game room, and using the hot tub and sauna. We took several nice walks on the road and in the woods.

Multiple Family Getaway

Lake Superior Barn is a very special and unique property. The grounds and view are majestic. Our large group of kids play all day in the large front lawn and then zip down to the lake for more playing and exploring. The hot tub and sauna are enjoyed by all. It's an awesome place!

Had a great time

Went here for a low key bachelor party and got exactly what we wanted out of the place, really secluded property, amazing cabin and had everything we needed. Couldn’t ask for a better spot for a low key weekend. Even had a few of our parents ask for the link because they wanted to bring their friends up there after we showed them all the pictures we took from our weekend.

Winter Wonderland

This property was everything that we were looking for and more! The views were absolutely beautiful. We had a very intimate wedding ceremony for our son and new daughter. We were exactly at 20 and this charming barn house was perfect! Plenty of room for everyone. The home has everything you need and the game room was a hit along with the sauna and hot tub. Communication was excellent with the owner and caretaker. We plan to stay here again :)

Room for all of us! Beautiful property!

Our family of 18 enjoyed the property and the cool barn. Campfires and hot tubbing, swimming and searching for glass on the beach. Our 9 grandkids loved every part of the vacation. There was plenty of room for all of us and we especially enjoyed the large deck. We could have used air conditioning on some days. The fly population was our biggest negative. The cabin was well stocked! If you are looking for a quiet rustic experience, this was a great place! We would recommend.

Beautiful Lake Superior Barn

The barn is gorgeous and the property is just as beautiful. My family of 4 stayed first week in October so we enjoyed a lot of outside and lake time. The beds were plenty comfy...we only used 2 bedrooms on the main living area. This is a great place to stay and really enjoy quality family time. The lake was gorgeous and like glass when we visited...some really beautiful sunsets!! The sauna and hot tub were fun too. Caretakers checked in with us next day as we arrived late in the evening. No complaints. Only suggestion is the kitchen is starting to show its age esp the appliances. Thank you for a great time at the barn!

Summer Family Vacation

We had a fabulous time at the barn. Our adult children and our 80 year old parents all gathered together for a week to remember. Between the yard games, board games and just good old fashioned outdoor fun, there was never a lack of something to do. The lack of WiFi and no need to have phones was scary at first for some, but everyone agreed at the end was a true gift! The kitchen was well equipped and the outdoor grill and blackstone were used daily. Kris and her husband took wonderful care of us all. If you come with older individuals there are some tricky stairs but we were able to keep everyone safe with an extra hand here and there. The hot tub takes a bit to heat up but my son in laws enjoyed firing it up each day. We would definitely visit again!

Beautiful barn & view!

The place was spectacular! You honestly can't beat the view, the barn interior & remoteness. A few things I would mention though, so many flies. Not sure it's their fault, as doors open and flies are bound to come in (that's why I gave 4 stars, some where already in windows when we got there, which i guess is hard to avoid with country living). Hot tub - cover was off or maybe they don't cover it at all. If no top, I guess that would be my recommendation to get one. We decided to not use it for that reason. The sink upstairs in the loft area was hard to work (not practical), and most of the time kids will inhabit that area. I completely understand the design element, as its rustic. Just some feedback. Overall, great place. Everyone enjoyed their time. Manager came out to show us things, which was really nice of her to do. The owners are also very responsive. I would go again! I reserved this space for a small group retreat for therapists.Overall, the space itself is GORGEOUS, with amazing views of Lake Superior, a lovely private beach, walking paths and trails, and our favorite - the woodfired sauna! The home itself is very well stocked and so well taken care of, and we enjoyed the decor and the warm environment. We had space to do yoga in the mornings downstairs, and spread out for group activities when needed. The kitchen was really well stocked and well laid out, and the whole vibe overall is lovely! The most challenging thing about our stay with the caretaker Kris, who left a very bad taste in our mouth and impacted our entire experience of this property. The owner casually mentioned we should contact her to arrange an arrival time, however I missed this detail in the rush of the few days before the retreat and he never provider her phone number. I had already requested an early arrival and late departure, and confirmed this with the owner, so they knew our arrival time and we let ourselves in when we arrived. Instead of texting to check in with us (she had our contact info but we didn't have hers), Kris rudely interrupted our first group activity on the first night and brought a cloud of bad energy into what was meant to be a warm, inviting experience. I understood why she was upset, because they have had guests completely wreck their sauna, but her response seemed out of proportion and she was rude and nasty the first and last day too.

We had an unforgettable stay at the Lake Superior Barn. It is a truly special place to gather with friends, serene and remote with sweeping views of the south shore of Lake Superior. While a few of us took short outings nearby, most of our time was spent enjoying the private beach, wooded trails, and the comfort of the Barn itself.The wood fired hot tub quickly became a favorite ritual, and one evening we fired up the sauna for an added treat. The wraparound deck set the stage for a big jam session, while the yard was perfect for games and bonfires that stretched into the night. The kitchen is exceptionally well equipped for large groups, and we loved preparing meals to share with our friends and loved ones.Our two dogs had the time of their lives exploring the grounds, and wildlife sightings throughout the stay kept everyone delighted and surprised. We were especially lucky with our timing, witnessing the full Sturgeon Moon and four nights of meteor showers that lit up the sky above Lake Superior. From quiet mornings to lively evenings, the Barn provided everything we hoped for and more.This was one of the best group vacations we have ever taken. Watching everyone’s joy as they settled into the home and the surrounding beauty was unforgettable. We left completely enamored and look forward to returning.

We fell in love with the Lake, the sound of the waves, the endless sandy beach and the fact that you are 30 minutes from an amazing city like Duluth, but you feel so remote and surrounded by nature.

The property is totally remote and surrounded by State forest... you will very likely not see another person. The reclaimed home is unique and the feel is rustic. The beach is secluded and it feels like you are on an ocean.
