Studio "Tarpon Suite" in a house with 4 apartments by the water - Cute studio for max. 3 persons - living area with sleeping space - bedroom with queen-size bed for a relaxing night's sleep - well equipped kitchen - fantastic view through the direct water situation!

Our "Fishermen's Paradise" is located directly on the water. In just a few minutes you can reach the Gulf of Mexico. The view from the boat dock is towards the west - the evenings you will not want to spend anywhere else!

The building complex is typical of this region - it captivates with the customary colorful colors of the south. The complex consists of 4 small, cute studios that provide everything you need for a holiday - a place to sleep and relax, a well-equipped kitchen and a private bathroom with shower. A communal laundry room offers the possibility to wash and dry laundry if necessary.

However, more important are various outdoor seating areas - retreat, but also community is possible - depending on your personal needs. Enjoy barbeque evenings, the BBQ grill specially made for you, relax in the quiet evening by the water and watch the sensational sunset.

I loved the Tarpon Suite. It is right on the water. It was very peaceful. The unit was spotless. Clean and perfect size for 2 people. Every morning I sat and watched the osprey, doves, herons and pelicans. We walked to the Blue Dog restaurant for dinner about 3 times while we there. The food is wonderful. All the people that we met during our time in Matlacha were friendly.

Comfortable stay

While the bungalow is small, it’s very comfortable for a place to stay. Immaculately clean and a comfortable bed. We particularly loved the waterside deck watching the pelicans and an occasional dolphin.

Great place for 2 people. Quiet area right on the water. Pretty sunsets. Easy walk to breakfast and dinner places. Support the local area that was hit pretty hard by Hurricane Ian.

Sliver of paradise

Tarpon Suite is perfect for a long weekend getaway. It is a quaint space with everything you need. There is both a coffee pot and a Keurig. The view is amazing and it is a very serene spot. We spent a day checking out Pine Island and then the evening walking to a local restaurant. The Blue Dog was very good and has a large menu. The location is close to so many places to explore if you want but it’s also a perfect place to hang on the water.

A hidden gem!

We stayed in the Grouper Room. It was clean and exactly as described. It's only a small little studio style room, but that was all we needed. This area is a cutesy little gem, but not at all a typical "tourist" attraction. If that is what you are coming for, you will be disappointed. Boating and fishing is HUGE here. We did not do either, but we ate at local seafood places every day and were blown away at how delicious everything is! We were especially impressed with Miceli's, at the beginning of Malatcha. The Perfect Cup is where to go for breakfast in the morning. We did a bunch of different things while in the area, including a day spent at Sanibel Island, kayaking at Manatee Bay in Fort Meyers, visiting a wildlife refuge/sanctuary (Octagon Wildlife Sanctuary) in Punta Gorda, walking around Matlacha and visiting all the different shops, and of course, relaxing on the deck. Back to the little room, the patio/deck in the back is absolutely wonderful. We watched the sunset from there almost every day and did not tire of it once. I might make some recommendations, as to things we wish we had either thought of to bring or wish were there. That being said, I would GLADLY stay here again without any of these things. But the owners can either take these as recommendations of things to put, or potential renters can take it as things we wish we had while we were there. -Portable speaker (bluetooth) -Binoculars (to see the fish/dolphins!) -Cards or board games (there isn't much to do at night without them) -Citronella candles or tiki torches (the no-see-ums are fierce!) -Lights in the water for nighttime (to see the fish!) You can hear them jumping in the water, but it's too dark to see. -a small fire pit for the patio Again, not having these things doesn't mean I don't recommend staying here or wouldn't stay here again. Overall, the place was perfect!

kleine Wohlfühloase für unkomplizierte Leute

Der Grouper Room ist klein, bietet aber eine sehr umfangreiche Ausstattung für einen Urlaub in wunderschöner Natur. Im Studio hat man alles, was man zu zweit benötigt. Das Aussengelände ist sehr schön am Wasser gelegen. Man kann gemütlich sitzen, grillen, vom Steg aus Manatees, unzählige Fischarten und Fischadler beobachten. Abends zeigt sich immer ein perfekter Sonnenuntergang. Das Objekt ist hervorragend für unkomplizierte Leute, die sich in Ruhe und Natur wohlfühlen. Man kann direkt vom Steg aus mit den Kajaks starten. Das haben wir allerdings nicht ausprobiert. Angemerkt muss noch werden, dass man nicht direkt am Haus baden kann. Dies störte uns aber überhaupt nicht. Wir hatten das große Glück, die meiste Zeit unseres Aufenthaltes dort allein zu sein. Wenn alle vier Appartements belegt sind, sind wahrscheinlich zwei Liegen und vier Liegestühle etwas zu wenig. Für uns war es aber eine herrliche Urlaubszeit.

Wir waren sehr zufrieden mit unserem Aufenthalt! Das Studio ist klein, aber ausreichend! In der Küche ist alles vorhanden was man braucht. Die Gegend ist topp, sehr ruhig gelegen direkt am Kanal. Lediglich die Klimaanlage hat nicht so richtig gekühlt, aber das ist auch das einzige Manko gewesen.

Toller Aufenthalt

Wir hatten einen tollen Aufenthalt in diesem Feriendomizil. Bei unserer Ankunft war alles sauber. Eine Anreise zu später Stunde (bei uns war es so ca. 22 Uhr) war kein Problem. Die Einweisung und die Begrüßung durch die Hausverwaltung war gut und herzlich. Wir haben uns hier sehr wohl gefühlt. Alles was wir für einen guten Aufenthalt benötigen war vorzufinden. Kleiner Wehrmutstropfen war, dass wir leider keinen guten WLan-Empfang in dem Raum hatten, die Fahrräder leider nicht aufgepumpt waren und der BBQ-Grill leider dreckig waren. Kleinere Macken im Haus selber haben aber nicht weiter gestört, da es insgesamt sehr sauber war! Die Haushälterin hat dies aber bei unserer Abreise notiert und wolle dies an die Besitzer weitergeben. Insgesamt haben wir uns sehr wohlgefühlt. Wir können diese Unterkunft nur empfehlen. Von hierhaus kann man sehr schöne Touren in alle Richtungen unternehmen. Wir können für einen Strandurlaub nur den Siesta Key in Richtung Tampa empfehlen. Wunderschöner Strand mit herlichem Sonneruntergang. Die Restaurants in der Nähe auch sehr gut. Einkaufsmöglichkeiten, wie z.B. einen Walmarkt in max. 10 Min. mit dem Auto zu erreichen.

Die Ferienwohnung war leicht über Google Maps zu finden,wobei der Ort eh nicht sehr gross ist.Die Ferienwohnung verfügt über eine Tastatur,wo mann einen Zahlencode eingibt,um die Tür zu öffnen.Super praktisch..Den Code bekommt man vor Reisebeginn.Die Wohnung war sauber und gepflegt und entsprach voll der Beschreibung.Tolle Küche .Super Bett .Zwei Kajaks standen kostenlos zur Verfügung.Alles liegt direkt am Bootssteg.Den Vermieter habe ich persönlich kennengelernt und habe einige Angeltipps und allgemeine Fragen beantwortet bekommen.Auch das Pontoonboot bekam ich vom Einweiser Gene erklärt.Wobei das Boot sehr leicht zu fahren ist.Das Boot ist natürlich extra kostenpflichtig ,aber zu empfehlen.Tolle Sache.Alles in einem wirklich zu empfehlen.Wir kommen sicher wieder.

Top Aufenthalt

Wir fanden das 1 Zimmer Appartement top. Man hat alles was man haben muss im Zimmer. Zudem gibt es eine schöne Terrasse am Waser, einen Grill zur Mitbenutzung, zwei Fahrräder, Kanus und einen Waschraum. Die Mitarbeiter vor Ort sind sehr freundlich und halten die Anlage in einem sehr guten Zustand. Wir hatten während des Aufenthaltes auch ein Boot angemietet, die Zufahrt zum Bootsanleger ist nicht gerade einfach, da es viele untiefen hat. Es lohnt sich auf jeden fall, die örtlichen Gegebenheiten erst mit dem Kanu zu erkunden. (wir hatten dabei noch das Glück, das dabei Delphine neben dem Kanu hergeschwommen sind) Wir können dieses Appartement nur weiterempfehlen.

Wunderschön eingerichtet...alles da von BBQ ... Angel bis hin zu WLAN! Top gepflegt und tolle Tipps vor Ort durch Verwaltung/Vermieter ;-) und im Umkreis tolle Ausflugsziele... und am Abend auf dem Steg entspannen.... Danke für den tollen Urlaub Vg aus Stuttgart
